Omg that's it. Yes it was yellow with a boat on. Aw lovely. Fuse bars were nice too and marble

blueskiesandforests · 27/08/2018 10:30

Mums plain Milka is still palm oil free and tastes as it has for the last 10+ years. Some of the boxes of Milka chocolates and bars with filling have palm oil though so there's no guarantee it won't creep into the base recipe Sad A basic bar of Milka is safe for now though Smile

PasstheStarmix · 27/08/2018 11:15

I love milka chocolate and the taste has never changed. It’s consistent. But what has happened to Milka Creme?? It was milk chocolate with a creamy chocolate truffle centre. I used to love that and can only fine the white and milk or the plain:

blueskiesandforests · 27/08/2018 11:28

There are millions of varieties of Milka pass - perhaps you need to go on a field trip to Germany. Even a medium sized supermarket will have about 20 varieties of Milka to choose from.

BlueJava · 27/08/2018 11:33

Hotel chocolat or Lindt only here :) No point buying something you don't like!

stressedoutpa · 27/08/2018 11:39

Waitrose chocolate is very good and doesn't seem to have palm oil.

One of the many reasons why I shop in Waitrose as their own brand stuff is decent and their values are pretty decent/they treat their staff quite well.

kenandbarbie · 27/08/2018 12:00

I got some Lindt milk choc at the weekend. I meant to only have two squares but it was soooo delicious I ate the whole bar Wink

Shepherdspy83 · 27/08/2018 14:09

I haven't read the whole thread so apologies if I'm repeating but anyone that likes dark chocolate.. I've just discovered that Asda have some single origin chocolate bars. I've only had the Ugandan 70% so far but it was beautiful so smooth & delicious. I've had to go back and stock up for fear they'll discontinue and ruin my life.

Mumshotel · 27/08/2018 14:34

Yum, Milka. Asda and Waitrose ones sound good too. I'll pick some up

PasstheStarmix · 27/08/2018 15:16

@blueskiesandforests i realise there are loads of varieties worldwide but there aren’t in the uk supermarkets. They literally only have one or two and that’s the problem! I’m unfortunately not in a position to just pick up and go to Germany but there’s always Amazon.

Pippylou · 27/08/2018 16:01

Whoever suggested Aldi Moser Roth Caramel, thank you! Lovely. :-)

PerverseConverse · 28/08/2018 09:53

Awww James has sent me out some replacements too. The samples were from the office which got hot so he's sending some from the warehouse. I'll look forward to the contrast and compare session Grin

I've ordered some school shoes from John Lewis and needed to add £20 to my basket to get free delivery so ordered a big jar of montezumas buttons for Christmas Grin

My children unwrapped the big bars of LC and proceeded to eat them whole Shock I've had words about savouring and appreciating instead of scoffing Confused

RubyLux · 28/08/2018 11:29

I thought you were all being fuss pots. I rarely eat chocolate. But then I just wanted a KitKat this morning when I got petrol. Oh god. It was foul! Gritty and greasy and tasteless. That is NOT chocolate. 😠

CorneliusCrackers · 28/08/2018 12:58

Just tried the Waitrose coconut dark chocolate.... holy mother of god 😍

00100001 · 28/08/2018 18:22

Welcome to the other side ruby Grin

Bought Milka and Waitrose yesterday. DD begged me for Dairy Milk popping candy shite, I refused to buy it and made her check all the labels till we found ones without palm oil in.
She was very impressed with the Milka, she said it’s nicer than Cadbury’s.

StormTreader · 29/08/2018 16:47

I've ordered some of the LC bars as well, I am pausing the diet in the interest of research! :D

Hullabalooo · 29/08/2018 16:50

Coop own brand chocolate still good. Especially the sea salt and toffee one. Mmmmmm!

WhatsYourFuckingProblem · 29/08/2018 20:19

Ok so the LC ones arrived today and we’ve cracked open the Honeycomb. Wow! Smells like Cadbury’s used to and is delicious. Can’t wait to try the other bars over the next few days.

WhatsYourFuckingProblem · 29/08/2018 20:48

Right, the rationing it out isn’t going too well so far and the milk chocolate is open and tested.
Massive hit here, that’s as close to the old Dairy Milk that I’ve experienced for a looong time.

AlpacaLypse · 29/08/2018 22:39

My box of Love Cocoa Jamie Cadbury has arrived. DD age 19 has spotted it and is making jealous noises. I have said tough no this is MINE... will report on yumminess.

PerverseConverse · 30/08/2018 12:49

I've just had an email from Montezumas and can attest to fantastic customer service from them too. Mondelez could learn a great deal from our home grown ethical chocolate companies.

CatchEmAll · 30/08/2018 14:02

Just looked at Love Cocoa's store locations and found out they sell it in a shop 5 minutes away from me! GrinGrin

JasperRising · 30/08/2018 14:20

If anyone finds themselves in Oxford, there is a very nice gelateria and chocolate shop in the covered market (called something like 'I Scream' I think) that stocks a lot of palm oil free brands - I did find a couple of products with palm oil in but I had to search very hard to find them!
