How do I clear cookies on my iphone?

Roxers · 21/08/2018 11:39

DELICIOUS10 gives 10% off first order

Moomicorn · 21/08/2018 11:50

All the corner shop brands are rubbish now.

Co-op do some nice 100g bars in their Irresistable range for a quick fix.

Otherwise I buy bars from Hotel Chocolate when I’m in town or go to the Chocolate Tree instead.

PasstheStarmix · 21/08/2018 11:52

A relative bought me some hotel chocolate and I have to say I didn’t think much of it. I wouldn’t thank anybody for it, I didn’t like it.

DunkandEggAgain · 21/08/2018 12:16

Ooh the Earl Grey is quite good. Very nice texture.

Moomicorn · 21/08/2018 12:18

I agree Dunk- the salted dark bar has a lovely smooth texture. Their chilli hot children is also lovely. I make a pineapple and ginger crumble, then make up the hot chocolate quite thickly and pour it over the crumble as a sauce.

EllenJanesthickerknickers · 21/08/2018 12:20

Mine hasn't arrived yet! Sad

MigGril · 21/08/2018 12:23

Does anyone know when they change it? Haven't had any in a few weeks. But on the reading of this thread just opened the packet DH bought the other day. It doesn't taste like galaxy any more Sad

Roxers · 21/08/2018 12:26

Postman has been - nothing! Thought it was supposed to be next day?!

TheSassyAssassin · 21/08/2018 13:17

Takes up to three days from despatch as it's Royal Mail...

Monkeypuzzle32 · 21/08/2018 13:36

Moomicorn that sounds divine-have you got a recipe please?

Now I know why my ex favourite Cadbury’s giant buttons tasted waxy-I haven’t eaten any since they were so bad, I emailed Cadburys to ask why they tasted so different and they sent me a £3 voucher to spend on chocolate! 🙄

PasstheStarmix · 21/08/2018 15:02

The Royal Mail sorting office May have eaten it...Confused had bad experience with them ‘losing’ things lately.

WetWang · 21/08/2018 16:25

Cocoa Loco make lovely chocolate. You can't buy them in the supermarkets but online on their own website also Abel and Cole and a few posh shops. Abel and Cole also stock other chocolate brands that don't use junk in them 😀

thenorthernluce · 21/08/2018 16:42

So after my disappointment with the Montezuma’s giant buttons, I tried the Godiva milk chocolate and thought it was lovely, as it had a really smooth flavour and texture.

I then tried the Sainsbury’s own milk chocolate, which was not good. Trying to figure out the common denominator, as lack of palm oil isn’t it in isolation.

holidaylady · 21/08/2018 16:46

It will also be the cocoa used (Cadburys used to come from Ghana) and also the other vegetable fats and the proportion of them.

Making chocolate really is an art. I'd suggest keep trying until you find one you like!

I only buy twirl (made in Cadbury Ireland) or the lindt salted caramel bar. Or else I wait for chocolate from Belgium, as it's the real deal.

PerverseConverse · 21/08/2018 16:46

The percentage of milk solids and cocoa butter and cocoa solids varies significantly so I think that will change the taste and texture. I've just paid £4.59 for some montezumas buttons so I hope I like them. I'm not a fan of creamy stuff at all.
Maybe we should all be emailing Cadbury and galaxy and telling them what we think.

Yogagirl123 · 21/08/2018 16:49

I only ever used to buy Cadbury choc, not the same anymore, buy from Aldi and Lidl now.

00100001 · 21/08/2018 17:39

look what arrived today!

It's cooling off in the fridge as I type!

My DH is in Dublin today!! I have put in an order for some giant buttons or plain dairy milk.

I've boycotted Cadbury's for years now but would be so happy to taste proper Dairy Milk again.

Hooray for this thread!

PerverseConverse · 21/08/2018 21:01

My Irish Cadbury's is on its way Smile I ordered dairy milk and Turkish delight as we can't get that here anymore.

Another thread commented on how the British were obsessed with chocolate Shock whatever could they mean?? Grin

PerverseConverse · 21/08/2018 21:03

What's the verdict so far on the Love Cocoa? I'm hoping mine will arrive tomorrow.

INeedNewShoes · 21/08/2018 21:12

My Love Cocoa arrived today (so within 24 hours even though I only paid for standard delivery).

I've eaten the Dominican Milk Chocolate and it doesn't appeal to me enough to justify the price. I prefer Divine which is the same price range (cheaper I think even).

DunkandEggAgain · 21/08/2018 21:25

I sampled the white rose chocolate - initial thought was it didn't strike me as anything remarkable, sad to say.
The salted truffles haven't had the overkill of salt like with everything else salted caramel, it was just there ever so slighty in the background. Nice.

PerverseConverse · 21/08/2018 21:51

I've just tried the Green and Blacks Milk version in the blue wrapper. Not impressed. It's nutty, bitter and slightly sour. Almost like someone accidentally poured some high % cocoa dark chocolate in there. 10 mi utes later I can still taste the bitter and sourness.

EllenJanesthickerknickers · 22/08/2018 09:52

My Love Cocoa parcel has arrived. The Dominican Republic 37% is nice enough but it's not Cadbury's Dairy Milk. Sad Maybe I'll try Irish Cadbury from Amazon or EBay.
