...where would it be? I’m fantasy house shopping so money is no object. I’ve got about ten billion pretend pounds (about three real pounds).

Following for when I win the lottery.

sanityisamyth · 11/08/2018 22:11

Sandbanks

frazzled3ds · 11/08/2018 22:13

Remote part of the Pembrokeshire Coast (totally overlooking the fact that getting planning permission for such a dwelling would be pretty much impossible.....)

tinytemper66 · 11/08/2018 22:13

I already live by the sea! Have a beautiful view from the house and a 5 min drive from the beach!

MirandaWest · 11/08/2018 22:14

Northumberland. DH and hope we can achieve it one day.

DownButNotOut1 · 11/08/2018 22:15

Sandbanks won't exist in a few years time. Canford Cliffs.

HemanOrSheRa · 11/08/2018 22:18

North Cornwall. Mawgan Porth specifically - one of the gorgeous properties overlooking the beach.

butcherswife · 11/08/2018 22:18

miranda we love Northumberland too!

For me it would be the East Coast, Robin Hoods Bay. Am fortunate that my family own a beautiful house here already but it's definitely our goal to relocate in time

GrumpyOldMare · 11/08/2018 22:20

Bossington, near Porlock. Already chosen 'my' house!

rabbitsandrhubarb · 11/08/2018 22:22

South Cornwall - Maenporth, or on the Helford River or the Fal.

Yorkshire coast for me.

bushtailadventures · 11/08/2018 22:32

Somewhere on the Isle Of Wight, don't really know why, but I love it there, and with 'money no object' shopping, I found some lovely houses too.

MsAwesomeDragon · 11/08/2018 22:32

Northumberland. I was born and bred in Northumberland and I plan to go back there when I retire. We've just come back from holiday up in Berwick and it's just beautiful, we saw dolphins just off the beach 3 days in the week we were there.

WerewolvesNotSwearwolves · 11/08/2018 22:33

@GrumpyOldMare is ‘your’ house sold STC on Rightmove? If so it’s lovely.

My house backs on to the beach in Kent. But I love Brighton to.

WerewolvesNotSwearwolves · 11/08/2018 22:34

I’m on the Pembrokeshire coast right now! It’s bloody stair rods at the moment but we still went to the beach.

Definitely the North East.
My late father was from Cullercoats in Whitely Bay. I would move there in a heartbeat

chewybacca · 11/08/2018 22:39

West Wales. Between Cardigan and New Quay.
If I was rich, Pembrokeshire. But I'd need a private beach.

Tara336 · 11/08/2018 22:41

Anywhere but Bournemouth area, maybe North Norfolk

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 11/08/2018 22:42

North Norfolk.

HotSauceCommittee · 11/08/2018 22:42

Budleigh Salterton. A pebbled, deeply shelving beach, tide slays seems to be in, a beach tea hut where you are trusted to take your hot beverage of choice away in a proper mug and to return it, arty shops, old ladies with long white hair and flowing skirts. And it never seems very busy. It’s one of my favourite places on earth.

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 11/08/2018 22:42

Oh snap. Grin

UpstartCrow · 11/08/2018 22:45

For ten billion pounds I'd develop a boat that can drive up onto the land and park. Then I'd swank around all the coast.

frecklemcspeckles · 11/08/2018 22:46

If it has to be in the UK then North Antrim coast or Belfast if jobs and commute or important, it's such a beautiful city on a lough with moubtains. If we can have some latititude... DONEGAL!!! North Donegal is just the most amazing views ever!!!!
