...where would it be? I’m fantasy house shopping so money is no object. I’ve got about ten billion pretend pounds (about three real pounds).

*interesting as moubtains are ahem I meant mountains and are important. Wink

Djnoun · 11/08/2018 22:48

Burnham Overy Staithe

GrumpyOldMare · 11/08/2018 22:51

@WerewolvesNotSwearwolves I don't think so,I think it's part of the estate there. I fell in love with it a few years ago and always go to drool over it when I'm in that area.
Sad,I know.But I know it's only a fantasy.

frazzled3ds · 11/08/2018 23:08

Yep Pembrokeshire is indeed rather wet this evening - I don't live on the coast but can get to it easily enough, in a perfect world I'd have a nice little cottage overlooking one of the more inaccessible bays, where I could enjoy the calm tranquility of warm summer days (like those had last month) and appreciate the intense power and almost bleak quality of stormy winter days whilst sat by a wood burning stove.

watsmyname · 11/08/2018 23:14

North antrim 👌

frecklemcspeckles · 11/08/2018 23:24

@watsmyname glad you agree! So beautiful!!!

frecklemcspeckles · 11/08/2018 23:24

And if I told all you GB people how much the houses were you'd be amazed!

NeedaDiscoNap · 11/08/2018 23:26

East Lothian coast near North Berwick. My favourite part of the country Smile

Saidthesharktotheflyingfish · 11/08/2018 23:28

Either Northumberland Coast or North Yorkshire.

Plimmy · 11/08/2018 23:29

Cornish coast. ⛵️

TillyTadpole · 11/08/2018 23:29

Anywhere between Carmarthen and Pembrokeshire. I absolutely love West Wales and with two dogs it is perfect! Other than that it has to be the stretch from Devon to Cornwall.

But definitely not Porthcawl! I couldn't think of a worst place to live

Beckie222 · 11/08/2018 23:34

Would have to be somewhere on the North Antrim coast it has some of the most beautiful places in the world.

Dowser · 11/08/2018 23:37

Anywhere that’s not on the north east coast where I actually do live.
Biting winds in winter, sometimes in summer, sea fret and grey murk when southerners are boiling and moaning about the heat

Who’d want to live here.
I’m only a mile from the sea...but can’t see it from my house either!

BackforGood · 11/08/2018 23:39

Think it depends if this could be a holiday home, or if I had to live there full time.
Some of the loveliest places for a holiday, would be too remote for me to live 52 weeks a year.

Dowser · 11/08/2018 23:40

Mumbles is lovely...down by the knap in vale of Glamorgan is very nice too

Dowser · 11/08/2018 23:40

We chose our holiday home in the country to get away from chilly north east coast

Armchairanarchist · 11/08/2018 23:43

I already live on the coast in North Yorkshire with sea views from my bedroom. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

NalderAndCollier · 11/08/2018 23:48

Kent coast between Deal and Dover.

Atthebottomofthesea · 11/08/2018 23:53

Filly, though may go more inland to Hunmanby

donajimena · 11/08/2018 23:57

Heritage Coast Vale of Glamorgan. Close enough to towns and cities but absolutely stunning.
If I could work from home anywhere on the Gower

Fatbelliedgirl · 11/08/2018 23:57

Brighton, or anywhere west towards and around Chichester.
Possibly North Devon.
Not Bournemouth, Lymington or Southampton as too many sad memories of the area Sad

Witchend · 11/08/2018 23:58

Rye Harbour.

ChablisLover · 12/08/2018 00:00

Another north antrim vote here. I love it there - hate it in the summer too many people but in the
Depth of winter it's ideal

TitsalinaBumSquash · 12/08/2018 00:00

Not Chichester @Fatbelliedgirl, I've been here 30 years now and it's rapidly going downhill. Sad

Cornwall for me.
