There were so few photos of their arrival that I was studying Tim's jacket in detail and can confirm I have two of them in the hall cupboard. One is DH's and one is mine and in our defence we didn't buy them together Anyway I think this is a sign that I should join the squad. Admittedly I will look like a heifer in the porch pics (sorry I mean I will be flaunting my ample curves) but I could discuss jackets and North Sea pebbles with Tim. And I'd damn well make sure that DH smiled right at the camera.

My dating-years followed a similar pattern- all intense never ever apart, but the most exotic spontaneous trip was a weekend in Enfield. And no paps, like, ever.

Tim looked a bit tired, poor love. He was probably trying to learn his lines on the plane:

TayTay was probably trying to get him to agree to the next item of love on display clothing. Perhaps a hat with corks hanging off the rim spelling out Hiddleswift, or one of those little caps the Australian life guards wear with a picture of her on.

Tay was showcasing her pins again!! Good girl. But that dress looks very uncomfortable and it IS actually chilly in Australia at the moment, I believe. Mind you, my son gave me that info and he is working in Cairns and I have no idea if that's anywhere near Tayto or whether it's like an American thinking Edinburgh is a London suburb.

That's a painful thought Frayed that he has to hold back knowledge. I'd like to think she's excited to be with someone who can introduce her to topics she knows little about. I suspect though if he goes off script she just narrows her eyes at him and whispers "remember the vest?"

From my recollection of my visit to Oz many years ago, it took 4 hours to fly from Cairns to Sydney, so am guessing there could be a fairly big difference in temperature.

dusters we haven't ever knowingly worn our jackets at the same time. We haven't ever worn vests with each other's initials either. Although I have just remembered that when DS was a baby and I was bored at home I embroidered the name of DH'S business on DS' vest At the time I thought it was cute but now I can see how it's only a chain stitch away from frolicking in the surf and playing in a moistened chute.

Cairns is north and a lot warmer than Sydney. Its a chilly mid winter15 in Sydney today (and I swear 15 degrees in Oz feel a lot colder than 15 in the UK, even though that makes no sense whatsoever!) So not really great weather for flashing pins.

I'm about 30 minutes away from the Hotel Versace and it's 20 degrees here.

They have touched down in the Gold Coast, where it is warm enough for her short skirt so she can show her "trim pins"

I wonder how Tim's coping with the constant papping. It's all in a day's work for TayTay, but this level of intrusion must be new to Tim. He looks so tired in the airport photos.

So, the Australian breakfast news programmes went a bit crazy. The evening news programme "The Project" which is quite funny and more English-like has just done a hilarious piece about Tayto, which DH just remarked "who cares?" just as one of the panellists remarked "who cares?"
