Yes, I know it's been said many times and it is totally ignoring his massive achievements and objectifying his deeply sexy shoulders and winning smile but jeez, what am I going to do for Saturday night fantasies from now on?

It's just weird isn't it? I can only assume he's pissed someone off at the BBC. He wasn't even included in the "international athletes" montage. I might have to write a strongly worded letter to somebody about it all.

I thought he was a good bet for the Overseas award, but the panel obviously thought differently.
He's received the Helen Rollason award before, so any BBC-related bust-up must have been quite recent. Either that, or he didn't want to come, which I could believe, as he's at home now and seemingly getting into his off-season training.

I also think the omission of Alex Zanardi was a mistake. He is very popular and made a huge impression on lots of people this year, including lots of motorsport folk who aren't necessarily into other sports.

Right, so that's two sporting highlight shows where the only South African to feature prominently has been Bert Le Clos.

That is absolutely not on. Even in the US, Oscar competing is considered one of the highlights of the Olympics, it was a world first ffs!
