Yes, I know it's been said many times and it is totally ignoring his massive achievements and objectifying his deeply sexy shoulders and winning smile but jeez, what am I going to do for Saturday night fantasies from now on?

I'm not sure how much is what she actually said, and how much is stuff the journalist added. The bit about the Russian model, for example, is not a quote.

All I could get out of it was that he may or may not have gone on a date with another woman who she doesn't like, very soon after they broke up. It all sounds very juvenile (on both sides), and I hope she has now realised, for her own sake, that going to the press was not going to help her. They would have ripped her to shreds.

Oscar was on ITV news at lunch time, and the scottish news so if you keep an eye out, he will no doubt be on the evening news as well. He's looking forward to the Commonwealth games Grin

I can't wait to see the results of that photoshoot. Plus he is People Magazine's 8th sexiest man (alive). I would probably have put him a bit higher than some of the others, but still, pretty high profile and sharing the gorgeousness with a much wider audience.

AmI - in a recent interview, he said that Scotland was his second home as the people are so friendly. I think you can take personal credit for that.

He said he'd met Dynamo, so I wonder if he'll be on his new series?

I think we are pretty unimpressed (at least outwardly) at fame, so we don't like to fawn too much.

God help him if I get chosen as a volunteer for the athletics stuff at Glasgow 2014. I might run off with his towel or something

One other thing and I Blush to ask this. What exactly is a "player". I have googled and get loads of answers and have heard it loads of times, but I'm not sure what it means. Is it a man who plays mind games with women, or something else.

Am so ashamed that in my 40s I have never know the definition

I think it's more of 'playing the field' I.e. having lots of flings without settling down with one person. I suspect it's been mentioned as it appears he's ended one relationship going straight to another, or at least it might appear that way to whoever has said it. Does that make sense?

"Player" can mean anything from "sleeps with anything with a pulse" to "has too many female friends for my liking", depending on who is saying it. It normally does just mean skipping from one short relationship/fling to another. DD helped me with that.

I agree with AmI that our Oz must be quite a lonely boy at times. As fun as fashion modelling and awards dos are, he must have times when he'd much rather be slobbing about at home with his siblings and dogs, or helping his friends fanny about with their cars.

I assume that there are other runners he gets along with, during the season. Not Alan Oliveira, probably.

I think it is a tough life, I'm sure once he retires after 2016, he'll probably settle down quite quickly.

With regards to loneliness, I read an interview with Jess Ennis, Charles Van Comenee wanted her to move down to London and was quite insistent about it, but she refused because she didn't want to be away from her loved ones. Whereas poor Oscar spends most of the year in Italy.

Further to Olivera, I was out on a works do and the conversation turned to the Paralympics and some of them said Oscar had been a bad loser, thus I had to defend him, while not coming over like a raving fan girl (difficult).

Oscar, if you are reading this, you need to get back to training now, crank down the partying and the celeb stuff and remember what it is you really do do.
Can you see my hopeful face Oscar? It sometimes works on my daughter.
