Yes, I know it's been said many times and it is totally ignoring his massive achievements and objectifying his deeply sexy shoulders and winning smile but jeez, what am I going to do for Saturday night fantasies from now on?

OP posts:
RedBlanket · 02/10/2012 18:13

And golf shoes! I might have to demote him into number 2 sexiest sportsman (behind Camille whatshisname the french swimmer).

What's the betting that his girlfriend hasn't joined him on this trip? 'oh I'd love to come but I used up all my holidays in the Seychelles. What a shame I love watching golf in the freezing cold driving rain'.

OscarPistoriusGirlfriend · 02/10/2012 19:42

Poor bloke, imagine leaving SA for wet, cold Scotland. Poor baby.

AmIthatbad · 02/10/2012 20:54

GG that C4 clip brought a tear to my eye - it was very touching.

Been pissing down here today - perfect weather for golf Grin

Was speaking to some colleagues today who have been at the Dunhill before and they said that you get really close to the players.

I can only go on Saturday, so am eagerly awaiting the draw to see where he is playing. I wonder if they can sign autographs , or if that is not sporting and might put them off

I still love him, even covered up Smile

OscarPistoriusGirlfriend · 02/10/2012 22:13

Take photos. lots of them. it's your duty!

are we going to get this thread moved then?

GreatGretzky · 03/10/2012 13:09

AmI he jut retweeted this: '@OscarPistorius partners #RyderCup vice-captain @pmggolf for the @dunhilllinks They play here at the #OldCourse #StAL on Sat' is that good for you? Hope it is! Smile

I hope the thread does get moved...I'm not really sure how you go about asking though!

OscarPistoriusGirlfriend · 03/10/2012 14:36

I think we new to report it and ask that way. I'll do it now.

KatMumsnet · 03/10/2012 15:09

@OscarPistoriusGirlfriend

I think we new to report it and ask that way. I'll do it now.

Hi there, we've moved this into Sleb Twaddle now. Thanks.

GreatGretzky · 03/10/2012 16:32

We've been moved! Thanks MNHQ! Smile

RedBlanket · 03/10/2012 18:02

Aahh. Sleb twaddle, my natural home

GothAnneGeddes · 03/10/2012 18:40

While it's very nice to have been moved, so that all our lovely links can be perserved...

Sleb twaddle?!

This is a serious thread about the serious business of appreciating a serious athlete! [Wink]

AmIthatbad · 03/10/2012 19:55

Waaaaaahhhh. We've moved Shock

I checked the match times on Dunhill site. St Andrew's on Saturday, teeing off at 11am, which is perfect.

I would have probably preferred Carnoustie, but I am determined to go, regardless of the weather.

I am unbelievably, excited, yet also nervous. I will have to take DD and have never tried this before, so hope I don't stick out like a sore thumb.

AmIthatbad · 03/10/2012 19:56

I don't think I knew this section existed

TheSmallClanger · 03/10/2012 20:15

I envy you your Oscar-spotting, but I have come to the conclusion that playing golf is not something you can do and look attractive at the same time. A bit like vigorously brushing your teeth, or plunging a blocked sink.

I have started doing weightlifting at the gym, and the instructor always says "if you're standing there thinking 'oh my god I look like a complete dick' then you are doing it properly". I think golf is the same.

Excuse the DM link - Oscar looking a bit chilly in a stripy jumper

Meglet · 03/10/2012 21:30

ooo, we have a new home.

You know what's really sad. I have only ever managed to be a 'member' of 2 MN thread quiches. 'My' ante+post-natal one and this, I failed miserably on credit crunch and good housekeeping.

2 quiches is plenty IMO.

GreatGretzky · 03/10/2012 22:15

Glad you can go AmI! Make sure you get pictures for us some bum ones pleaseWink

GreatGretzky · 03/10/2012 22:16

Ahh crap, always mess up the strikethrough!

OscarPistoriusGirlfriend · 03/10/2012 22:25

Yes bum ones are imperative! In fact you need a banner with we love Oscar on it signed the MN Pistorians. Grin

AmIthatbad · 03/10/2012 22:59

Meglet you might have a limited quiche membership portfolio Grin but I recognise your name from LP threads, and think you are top notch.

And if this is a new quiche, then it is the best one ever and I am extremely proud to belong.

In a face off between Oscar P and someone like B Cummberbund, then there is no competition.

......and I will take as many photos as I can

My Dad was saying tonight that he has been before and you can more or less follow your chosen players around for over 2 hours and get right up close. I am so nervous, but hope that the other spectators are there for the Ryder Cup players and some footballers and would leave the luscious OP to me

Meglet · 04/10/2012 00:45

Oh yes, I get all tsk-y at the Cummerband stuff. Does he have any gold medals? Does he get half nekkid when he gets tattooed? Not that I've noticed.

Therefore Oscar wins the 'most fanciable male' contest hands down.

Amithatbad how exciting! Maybe a 48hr crash course in golf rules is needed.

GothAnneGeddes · 04/10/2012 01:44

Also, Oscar cuddles wild animals, Cummerband looks like one: redscharlach.tumblr.com/post/19565284869/otters-who-look-like-benedict-cumberbatch-a

GreatGretzky · 04/10/2012 02:54

Huge picture from the press conference. Can't get to sleep tonight but I'm sure I'll have lovely dreams when I do drift off now I've seen that!

RedBlanket · 04/10/2012 09:58

you can more or less follow your chosen players around for over 2 hours and get right up close.

Play it by ear, if security are asking you to move on then you might be a bit TOO close. Grin would a big banner saying 'MN loves Oscar' be too much?

Fair play, 2 hours of golf is going above and beyond.

TheSmallClanger · 04/10/2012 10:41

Two hours of golf is REALLY taking one for the team. I'm not sure you're allowed banners at golf courses - they wouldn't be able to stop you wearing a printed t-shirt though...

For those of us missing semi-naked summertime Oscar, here's a treat for you.

I don't think he has his legs on in this picture, which is quite unusual.

Peachesplusone · 04/10/2012 12:30

Well it's not on quite on the same level as AmIthatbad's selfless act of Oscar ogling, but I am going to try and watch some golf on the TV this afternoon (words I NEVER thought I'd hear myself utter). I'm not sure if he's playing today but I figured they will probably show some player profiles or interviews or something.

Ridiculously excited at the prospect of seeing him again! Grin

Peachesplusone · 04/10/2012 14:09

I just saw him!

He's wearing that awful stripy jumper again!

He looks freezing!

Can I turn over now?
