Seeing as the Sherlock discussions are dying down I thoguth I'd start a new thread for all the BC fans out there - judging by the number of MNers with him on their "List", he surely deserves his own thread.

So here it is: a place to share videos, pictures, articles and whatever else you want. The only thing I'll say is that I'd appreciate it if no one posted a link to the video(s) of BC dancing at a wedding. Apparently it was stolen from his ex girlfriend and is the cause of much upset. So lets be respectful. Otherwise, anything goes

I'll get us started with some personal favourites:

- pay close attention to the wink @ 0.42 and his whip action @ 0.51

Can anyone link to how I can make a text alert? I have an iphone so I am hoping I can do it.

Kayzr this is how I did it:

1. Find the audio clip you want. I got mine off YouTube.
2. For YouTube audio you'll need to convert it to an audio file using another website. I used www.listentoyoutube.com
3. Once you've converted it open the file, it should automatically open in iTunes.
4. Listen to the file and note down the timings of the clip you want (text alerts are better if you keep them to 4 seconds or less. The three I've got all come in at 3 seconds.
5. Follow the steps on this website

CaveMum - I do links on my iPod Touch. It's a bit of a faff. On YouTube after you've watched the clip, click share video and then mail link.

Email it to yourself, open your email on you iPhone, press and hold link until it brings up an option to copy, then paste into your post by pressing and holding again until it gives option to paste.

It took longer to go through the instructions than it takes to do a link.

See I ddidn't bother doing any of the stuff cavemum suggested - I just said to DH "this clip, I'd like it as a text alert please" and he did it all for me

I want an iPhone

My mobile is quite nice and has t'internet and stuff but I don't think I can get a sound clip like that on to my 'phone. It's an Orange RioII.

Might try on Saturday morning when DH is out. The more likely option is that I'll be watching another Sherlock episode.

On the Sherlock/Irene clip, I can't get past in my head the thought of standing over a more or less powerless Sherlock/BC with a riding crop ....

Every time I see the ad on tv, I stare longingly at the screen. I mean it has so many useful features and I could watch YouTube clips at work.

I don't have an iphone either, it's a nokia something or other

I shall have a go at this then at the weekend. Hopefully by Monday my text alert will say "right, we'll start with the riding crop"!
