Seeing as the Sherlock discussions are dying down I thoguth I'd start a new thread for all the BC fans out there - judging by the number of MNers with him on their "List", he surely deserves his own thread.

So here it is: a place to share videos, pictures, articles and whatever else you want. The only thing I'll say is that I'd appreciate it if no one posted a link to the video(s) of BC dancing at a wedding. Apparently it was stolen from his ex girlfriend and is the cause of much upset. So lets be respectful. Otherwise, anything goes Grin

I'll get us started with some personal favourites:

- pay close attention to the wink @ 0.42 and his whip action @ 0.51 Grin

And finally some gratuitous , with my personal favourite the black and white shot featured at 2.53 [drools]

Share/comment away Grin

My knickers can't take any more Grin

givemushypeasachance · 20/01/2012 19:33

For those who like Cabin Pressure it's not all on iplayer at the mo but it is on

LetUsPrey · 20/01/2012 19:39

Thoughts of this thread and Benedict are keeping me going through my ongoing iPod Touch saga of trying to get it to sync from iTunes. Because it won't do it properly and it is bastard annoying me.

Kayzr · 20/01/2012 19:44

I need to join. After CaveMum introduced me to him on another thread I can't get enough of him!!

I love this

FirstOfficerDouglasRichardson · 20/01/2012 20:15

Cabin pressure is on you tube... And you can also buy them off iTunes.

LetUsPrey · 20/01/2012 22:31

I really really want to click on that link but DH is sitting about eight feet away and will ask what I'm watching. Aarrrghhhhhh!

And do not talk to me about iTunes. I am having all sorts of problems trying to get my music off iTunes on my pc and on to my iPod Touch. If I got Cabin Pressure on iTunes and then couldn't get it on to my iPod so I could take it everywhere, I would be mightily pissed off.

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 20/01/2012 22:31

Marking my place to perve later Grin

BroomForMyChin · 20/01/2012 22:38

Just wanted to say thanks for all the links.

Has made my Friday night Grin

LetUsPrey · 20/01/2012 22:42

Isn't YouTube a wonderful invention?

I keep replaying the scene from Sherlock

Molly "What do you need?"
Sherlock, with a piercing stare from those eyes, "You."

And faint. I think I've linked to it upthread. If you can find it among the many many one or two links I've posted.

LetUsPrey · 20/01/2012 23:03

DH has gone to bed!!! I am now going to click on all the links as a special Friday night treat to myself.

LetUsPrey · 20/01/2012 23:23

I've watched all the links, looked at the pictures.

I've been working it out. Benedict is 6' 3/4". I am 5'11". I can give up wearing heels. Really, it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.

Seriously, in the clip from Sherlock when she asks what he needs and he says "you" how does she not a) faint or b) throw herself at him? FFS I'd take his legs from under him and still hit the ground before him.

DH might get a Friday night treat after all that. Where's that Sherlock mask?

Kayzr · 21/01/2012 08:16

Bloody hell LetUsPrey that is amazing. Those eyes are amazing.

LetUsPrey · 21/01/2012 13:03

DH is out again - doing the shopping - so I can take the chance to post . (Flipping heck this is like having an affair - not that I would know - sneaking around behind DH's back with Benedict Cumberbatch ............. sorry, drifted off for a bit there).

The clip's quite long, nearly four minutes. The first 3 mins 50 or so are entertaining enough, but the last five seconds ..

I'm not posting another link until someone else does. I'm starting to look like I'm crossing the line Grin!

Kayzr · 21/01/2012 13:45

I'm finally getting round to watching Sherlock and almost fainted at him wrapped in a sheet!!! Grin

needanewname · 21/01/2012 13:51

Have any of you seen him in war horse yet?

Have to admit although I do live him in Sherlock I didnt really get all tue fuss (please don't throw me off here!) but he is growing on me and he was rather lovely in war horse (even though has a dodgy tache!)

LetUsPrey · 21/01/2012 13:55

Kayzr - damn him and his quick reactions!

needanewname - please come in, have a seat, admire the decor. Have to admit I've seen him in other things and thought "hmm, quite nice" and even on the first series of Sherlock it didn't really hit me. It seems to be in between the two series and then throughout this recent one I seem to have developed rather a keen interest in him.

CaveMum · 21/01/2012 14:05

LetUsPrey I agree that it took a little while for BC to appear on radar. Sherlock S1 sparked an initial interest but I have to say Tinker, Tailor was what really got me paying attention to him as an actor and the obsession love grew from there.

I know what you mean about the suruptitious YouTubing feeling like an affair Grin and I have absolutely not spent time imagining how I would react should we meet and feel an instant connection Wink
It's quite helpful that DH's name is "Ben" - will save on any accidental name calling moments Wink Grin

I would post more videos, but I'm on my phone and can't do YouTube links. If you have half an hour to kill I'd recommend searching for BC's stint as host of Have I Got News For You (where the infamous "damn good shag" quote comes from). It's split over 2 separate videos.

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 21/01/2012 15:55

CaveMum - are you me?! Grin Although I haven't seen Tinker Tailor.

I know I said I wouldn't do another link until someone else had done one, but seeing as you've mentioned wanting to link, that counts.

So have a look at . I think these are clips from the pilot which hasn't been shown but is on the blu ray set which will arrive next week. Probably on YouTube too. Sherlock obviously shouldn't be wearing jeans but I'm willing to let that go.

LetUsPrey · 21/01/2012 16:19

Just got my email from Amazon confirming that my Sherlock blu ray discs have been dispatched and I should receive them on Monday!!! Squeeeeee!!

CaveMum · 21/01/2012 16:24

Hmm, skin tight jeans [drifts off]

Ahem, you must see Tinker, Tailor: it's an excellent film. Very slow moving and cerebral - don't go in expecting car chases and gun fights ago go! The cast is perfection, as a prime demonstration of British talent I'd say only 1 thing was missing - Helen Mirren and/or Judy Dench!

BC is, of course, divine Grin and for him to hold his own against the likes of Gary Oldman, Colin Firth et al speaks highly of his talent.

As I enjoy radio comedy shows (brought up on a diet of Goon Show, Navy Lark, et al by my dad - I am only 30 honest!) I think I'll download Cabin Pressure, if only to hear BC's dulcet tones!

mrscumberbatch · 21/01/2012 16:41

Series 2 released in 2 days on dvd!

Helllllo amazon preorder Grin

CaveMum · 21/01/2012 17:42

No fair! I haven't had a dispatched email yet!!!

Poor CaveMum (are you CaveMum from the SCD threads by the way?)

.
CaveMum · 21/01/2012 18:23

Oooo, like I said my ideal night! Just throw in Dave Grohl and James Marsters and I'll be the happiest girl in the world Grin

(Yes it is me from the SCD threads!)

FirstOfficerDouglasRichardson · 21/01/2012 18:53

You will not regret downloading Cabin Pressure. Do them in order because I feel the characters develop over the episodes. I have a bit of a crush on John Finnemore myself (the writer and Arthur). Enjoy! Grin
