Seeing as the Sherlock discussions are dying down I thoguth I'd start a new thread for all the BC fans out there - judging by the number of MNers with him on their "List", he surely deserves his own thread.

So here it is: a place to share videos, pictures, articles and whatever else you want. The only thing I'll say is that I'd appreciate it if no one posted a link to the video(s) of BC dancing at a wedding. Apparently it was stolen from his ex girlfriend and is the cause of much upset. So lets be respectful. Otherwise, anything goes Grin

I'll get us started with some personal favourites:

- pay close attention to the wink @ 0.42 and his whip action @ 0.51 Grin

And finally some gratuitous , with my personal favourite the black and white shot featured at 2.53 [drools]

Share/comment away Grin

I'd love to see him at the theatre, I'd be in the front row looking irresistible and he'd invite me backstage to his dressing room

Kayzr · 27/01/2012 11:47

I think we should start a petition to get someone to remake something like Lady Chatterly's Lover with BC in it!!! That would be good.

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 27/01/2012 12:05

Well, he's in Parade's End later this year ? first world war and periods immediately before and after ...

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 27/01/2012 12:06

PS DesperateHousewife, I haven't seen War Horse but presumably he rides a horse and quite likely wields a whip in it?

Kayzr · 27/01/2012 12:07

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy has just arrived!!! There is a picture of him on the back with his hand near his mouth and its lovely. Grin

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 27/01/2012 12:11

Yum. I love that pale blue suit he wears in it.

CaveMum · 27/01/2012 12:14

He said an interview that he enjoyed the horsey aspect to War Horse. He rode as a child but had to learn how to ride one-handed, carrying a sword for the film.

You'll love Tinker Tailor Kayzr. It is slow moving and very cerebral, but the acting, and the accuracy of costumes/sets, etc is amazing.

Let's think.

Yes to period drama stuff as long as he's not a wimpy, wet character. Lots of barely controlled lust.

Possibly yes to a vampire, although I can't quite see it.

I think he's going to be mazing in Star Trek, so possibly some sci-fi type stuff, or future/action films.

Not seen Tinker, Tailor but I suspect he makes a good spy, although as CaveMum said, not Bond. Perhaps more a Jason Bourne. Yes, I can definitely see him being actiony. There would also be the potential for a bit of fighting. I quite like it when he fights - bit worrying really! And lots of opportunity for him to swear.

Would love to see him in the theatre and my bedroom.

DesperateHousewife21 · 27/01/2012 12:22

I've yet to see war horse but will get it when it comes out on DVD so I can see him as much as I want being all wild and whipped!

Ooh he's so scrummy!

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 27/01/2012 12:25

Pity about the comedy moustache though. Grin

LetUsPrey · 27/01/2012 12:26

Oh, I don't know. It probably tickles .... Grin

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 27/01/2012 12:33

If there has to be facial hair, I'd rather have a bit of scratchy stubble.

DesperateHousewife21 · 27/01/2012 12:39

Yes he looks best either clean shaven or stubbly. Either way I'd have him!

CaveMum · 27/01/2012 12:51

LetUsPrey, I'll paint a picture for you:

The scene in Buffy v Dracula where Dracs appears in Buffy's bedroom. Remove Rudolf Martin, and insert BC removes Buffy and inserts self

Now you getting it???!!!

Grin

DesperateHousewife21 · 27/01/2012 13:00

I know where I'd like to insert him Wink

LetUsPrey · 27/01/2012 13:10

Sorry, not getting the vampire thing. Loved Buffy/Angel/Spike, even thought Interview With A Vampire was okay (with the exception of Tom Cruise).

Oooh, actually an Interview With A Vampire type vampire might work. Combines period dress with vampire. Definitely not drippy. Yes, add that to the list.

Definitely would like to see spy thriller action movie, possibly futuristic/sci-fi angle to it. He'd be all suited up, being clever with gadgets, running, fighting, bit of peril with the baddy, clothes coming off many times once or twice.

I should really get back to work now. See you later.

SurferRosa · 27/01/2012 13:31

I've had to de-lurk to offer up a Dick Turpin role. Not that I have been fantasising thinking of this at all. Definately not.

LetUsPrey · 27/01/2012 13:36

Welcome SurferRosa. Excellent suggestion!

That combines period drama, horse, a bit fighty, goody and a baddy at the same time. Would have to be proper serious-ish drama though.

Kayzr · 27/01/2012 13:48

I love the Dick Turpin idea and the vampire ideas.

Would any of us complain about him in anything though? Really?

I want him to be a policeman or something. I love him in Sherlock in the security guard outfit.

SurferRosa · 27/01/2012 13:54

Yes, serious drama. With a few clothes coming off opportunities.

I like the futuristic thriller idea - intelligent, intense, sharp-suited - what could be better?

CaveMum · 27/01/2012 14:01

Oh well, I'll keep that one just for me Grin

[more daydreaming about BC nibbling on her neck]

DesperateHousewife21 · 27/01/2012 14:52

I agree I'd like to him in anything. How about a Roman Emperor? Or a king? Bloody hell he could play a scruffy beggar and look hot.

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 27/01/2012 15:00

Hmmm, quite like the cop idea. He certainly looks hot in the trailer for The Whistleblower, which is odd because generally speaking I don't think hats do him any favours. <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=benedict+cumberbatch+%2B+the+whistleblower&hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=ty8&sa=X&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&channel=np&biw=1687&bih=948&tbm=isch&prmd=imvnso&tbnid=pO3bWiYilK_MOM:&imgrefurl=deareje.tumblr.com/post/5898747213&docid=sv6m2vzI0UM4rM&imgurl=i838.photobucket.com/albums/zz304/dearej/8f9cc656.jpg&w=1920&h=816&ei=FrsiT_eSJqbI0QWp9LDOCg&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=251&sig=100720327535835481383&page=1&tbnh=79&tbnw=187&start=0&ndsp=42&ved=1t:429,r:15,s:0&tx=86&ty=47" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Hubba hubba

I'd also be pretty happy if he were in something else like Third Star where he had to be lean, pale and interesting. <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=benedict+cumberbatch+%2B+third+star&hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=tfT&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&channel=np&biw=1687&bih=948&tbm=isch&tbnid=aqsXqcGwBsK7cM:&imgrefurl=octavoo.tumblr.com/post/16240089071/benedict-cumberbatch-he-looks-good-in-any-role&docid=6AKTwQToCBh2MM&imgurl=28.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_ly5xyeCaoe1rnvx42o1_500.png&w=500&h=524&ei=ersiT-GjLIW_0QWuycHOCg&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=1133&vpy=594&dur=410&hovh=172&hovw=163&tx=140&ty=211&sig=100720327535835481383&page=1&tbnh=145&tbnw=136&start=0&ndsp=38&ved=1t:429,r:21,s:0" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">and a ring-a-ding-ding

DesperateHousewife21 · 27/01/2012 16:59

I'm wasting hours looking at the pics on his website. There's thousands to keep you going. How is it even possible that he looks so good in every one of them?

TeamDamon · 27/01/2012 18:29

I hope you have all built your Cumbernest - I think this article sums it up rather nicely Grin
