Seeing as the Sherlock discussions are dying down I thoguth I'd start a new thread for all the BC fans out there - judging by the number of MNers with him on their "List", he surely deserves his own thread.

So here it is: a place to share videos, pictures, articles and whatever else you want. The only thing I'll say is that I'd appreciate it if no one posted a link to the video(s) of BC dancing at a wedding. Apparently it was stolen from his ex girlfriend and is the cause of much upset. So lets be respectful. Otherwise, anything goes Grin

I'll get us started with some personal favourites:

- pay close attention to the wink @ 0.42 and his whip action @ 0.51 Grin

And finally some gratuitous , with my personal favourite the black and white shot featured at 2.53 [drools]

Share/comment away Grin

TheRhubarb - first thought when I saw that video was "it's Alan B'stard" Grin

exexpat - and to think that film was on the other night and I didn't know until it was nearly finished.

Found where he's reading from Casanova.

And interview with Tom Hardy. Couldn't take my eyes off his hands.

DesperateHousewife21 · 26/01/2012 20:40

It's not healthy to think about him all the time alot is it? I keep thinking he'd be a really good dancer and would smell really nice Confused that would just be the start of the night Wink

Desperate the same thought had occurred to me. He looks like he has the poise to make a good dancer. As a ballroom/Latin dancer I would very much like to dance a tango and a rumba with him Grin

[runs back into the safety of the thread]

[gasps]

They're saying nasty things about The Cumberbatch on the "Things I Don't Get" thread in Chat Sad

Wonder if I can be arsed?

CaveMum · 26/01/2012 22:50

Nah, I've told them they're all mean and left them to it Grin

Less rivals for us to fight off Prey Wink

I've had a quick look. Saw your post CaveMum and that it all seemed taken care off. Just fuel to the fire if I post and, as you say, less people to share with. I did find the post claiming he could be made from a kit quite interesting. Build your own BC. It'd tide me over until the real thing arrives and finds me irresistible.

Did you listen to the Casanova clip? I'm vair tempted to buy the full thing from iTunes.

LetUsPrey · 26/01/2012 23:02

Feck. Taken care of not off.

LetUsPrey · 26/01/2012 23:08

Casanova reading "I set to work" "She helped me to triumph" and read in that voice.

Fucking hell.

LetUsPrey · 26/01/2012 23:22

I'm sure will have linked to already on this thread but best to be certain I think Smile.

CaveMum · 27/01/2012 07:19

Hat is a great video, and I heartily agree with the sentiment.

According to Twitter, BC is not filming Star Trek in Canada at the moment. Danny Boyle said he was when he collected BC's Best Actor Award on his behalf, but the official Twitter for the movie has said Star Trek is not in Canada filming at the moment.
Who knows where he is, but he's a busy bunny that's for sure!

Build your own BC you say?? Interesting. Very interesting.

Ignore the meanies!

DesperateHousewife21 · 27/01/2012 07:34

I've saved a photo to my phone so I can look at his loveliness whenever I like and I do, often Wink

Housewifefromheaven · 27/01/2012 07:45

desperate me too! I have the one from sherlockology with his eyes closed and hands up against his face. Beautiful beautiful boy.

CaveMum · 27/01/2012 07:56

You lot are a bad influence: I've just bought the Casanova audiobook Blush

I already own the book (started reading it then stopped for some reason) and the David Tennant version on DVD. Highly recommend it if you've not seen it Grin

Only one? Only two?

LetUsPrey · 27/01/2012 08:23
. I love this song!
DesperateHousewife21 · 27/01/2012 08:28

I'm sure I'll be adding more to the collection. It's a v lovely photo of BC sitting on the floor all dishevelled in a tux with his legs somewhat splayed

LetUsPrey · 27/01/2012 08:32

That's the one I have on my desk at work! Grin

One needs these things to get one through the day.

DesperateHousewife21 · 27/01/2012 08:38

I totally agree, that's the outfit I imagine him in when we meet

CaveMum · 27/01/2012 09:27

Hmmm, that is a good shot. He is such a beautiful dresser, even when not styled for photoshoots. I do love a man in a good suit!

So, I've been pondering, in light of the many jobs he's taken on in the last year or do, is there anything in particular we'd like to see him in? I've heard people say they want him to do Bond, but for me he's too subtle to be Bond. Don't get me wrong, I love Bond, but he requires someone who is a bit more in your face.

I'd love to see him do some more period stuff, can't beat a man in britches except with a riding crop Wink. Perhaps some Austen, but i see him more as a Mr Wickham than Mr Darcy.

Also he NEEDS to do Strictly! We need to see him in tails, and I'm convinced by the way he walks and holds himself that he'd be very good.

Finally I'd like to see him play a bad-ass (ie nothing like Twilight) vampire Grin. He has that slightly ethereal look and his colouring suits pale well. Something in the style of Spike would suit, yes Prey?

[drifts off into a daydream with thoughts of BC sucking on her neck]

Wink

Yy to period stuff, he has the right voice for it and he'd look sooo good in the outfits. They're quite hot on sex scenes in some of those dramas too Wink

He'd look good on a horse too with a whip

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 27/01/2012 10:30

He's done a fair bit of period stuff and I personally prefer him in contemporary. I think he looks a bit prissy, somehow, in period get-up. An exception is To The Ends of The Earth; he's quite hot in that.

Can't stand vampire stuff ? apart from Mitchell in Being Human, that is Smile. Wouldn't mind seeing Benedict as a similar grunge/dirtbag vampire ...

I'd like to see him in something at the theatre again. Fantastic as he is on screen, he's even better on stage IMO; he has incredible stage presence and his acting style suits the theatre.
