My job, at times, can propel me into strange circumstances. I have just learnt that it is very likely i will be "spending the night" in the London home of a v famous celeb couple... I am not cool, have nothing to wear, and easily impressed... WTF do I do now?

I would raid nice charity shop or tkmaxx. As for c section go for Bridget jones knickers.
I have met a few famous people and have a few contacts via email, and you know what, they are all pretty normal. Wary of strangers but just treat them like a new friend and easy to talk about kids as you have some.
Have a good time and try not to panic too much

tbh i feel right sorry for 'celebs' who have to invite people they do not know to stay overnight in their homes just to have a party. where are their real mates?

Aitch - I agree I would HATE having to have people over like this and it's not a party either or fun at all. I've met a few slebs too one way or another but these are in another league, I know it's not about them but about me. Yes will have common ground with kids but oooooh frustrating I can't say more I know I seem like I'm teasing! I can't talk much about me to them (anon) and to prev poster, you can only be trained if you have a natural ability and meet shed loads of other criteria, like I said it's sort of security related.

Don't know if it's any help, but you can hire a designer handbag from about £20 per week this is one place but if you Google you'll get others.

These guys do watches, luggage, jewellery & other accessories for hire too.

I am not sure about crisp white/black shirts with jeans and blazer I think you might be verging on a waitron look.

I would go for metallic ballet pumps, skinny trousers/jeans, plain grey t-shirt, blazer with a cool broach on lapel. I would have a couple of other t-shirts to change with, a pair of black flat chelsea boots incase you need to go outside when its cold, and a nice coat- think single breasted slightly man shaped or cocoon shaped car coat.
