I have a few more things to add to the lexicon.

FAF - Fallen Angel Face

FWS - Floppy white shirt (which sometimes metamorphoses into the FWTNS (Floppy white timeshare nightshirt) which Mr Thornton and I take it in turns to wear).

Aubusson - the carpet on which Mr Thornton sit by the fireside, to continue our discussions of Plato.

And I think there might have been a misattribution of some of the artworks earlier. This is the Academy Michelangelo (notable for the torsion in the, ahem, torso) and this is the Academy Caravaggio (notable for its use of chiaroscuro).

And yes, I love it when new students enrol (or re-enrol after a sabbatical), as we can consolidate our knowledge of previous study modules. .

I do wonder whether we should abbreviate unwashed, leather-clad, psychologically damaged arsonist and homicidal maniac (but comely withal) to ULCPDAHM(bcw). unwashed, leather-clad, psychologically damaged arsonist and homicidal maniac (but comely withal) takes rather a long time to type.

LadyD, I am also trying but failing to instill tidiness in the Twiglet kids. With MissTwigs, she was getting so bad at leaving stuff everywhere (eg. took clothes off and just left them in the middle of the floor) that I started deducting 10p from her pocket money for every item of detritus. It's made not a jot of difference

RP, I know what you mean - sometimes I like the fact that DrTwigs was my first boyfriend and I wouldn't change a thing if I could, because otherwise I might not have met him. But the other part of me thinks I should've lived a bit first - I won't tell you how old I was when I met him :)

Biscuits (and probably LadyD, I think this was before your time), re. Armitage Husbands, some while ago, several of our numbers were buying Armitage-style clothes for our husbands (not me, obviously, ahem) and Massive, I think it was, imagined a scene where our husbands all met by accident and gradually clocked that they were all wearing the same clothes. "Oh you're lucky you got the black Lucas shirt, my wife makes me wear Dr Track's orange jumpsuit...". I think I laughed for about a week over that.

Grin Twigs

Imagine the poor DH having to go round in full Gizzy leather!

LadyDamerel · 05/10/2011 21:02

Obviously, Twigs Wink.

Grin @ the DHs' clothes.

::twirls her Belgian moustaches and cranks up her leetle grey cells::

Aha, Mademoiselle Twiglets. You 'ave confimed my suspicions about zat confession.

SupermassiveLBD · 05/10/2011 21:22

So what's wrong with Gizzy leathers,I'd like to know... Grin

PassTheTwiglets · 05/10/2011 21:25

Maud, I thought it was so obvious that I didn't think it needed confirming :)

LadyDamerel · 05/10/2011 21:30

That one shouted 'TWIGS' at me the second I saw it, Maud. At least Dr Twigs is aware of the inspiration behind his wardrobe Grin.

Massive, if LordD had the physique he would so be wearing leathers.

Doesn't MrS own a pair of leather trousers?

Blush Sorry, the first attempt froze.

SupermassiveLBD · 05/10/2011 21:32

Yeah, the leather kecks wouldn't do MrM any favours, either. He's more into a Harry type wardrobe if i don't watch him

Biscuitsandtea · 05/10/2011 21:32

Oh I meant more that he might get mobbed for being mistaken for RA whilst strolling round John Lewis on a saturday Wink

DumSpiroSpero · 05/10/2011 21:35

Mr S did own a pair of leather trousers. Sadly they have long gone and he has refused my kind offers to buy him a new pair for his last and forthcoming birthday. Which is a shame because he does actually have the physique for them even 12 years after the original pair.

Anyone else watching Friends on Comedy Central? It's the one where Joey is in a play called 'Freud!' Grin.

Shall we all come round and tie him up and force him to wear some, Spiro?

Russianpony · 05/10/2011 21:40

Can't imagine the colonel in leather trousers although he shows quote an interest in females wearing them!!Hmm

Not watching friends - grand designs here!

Yes, LadyDamerel, me too. I was just trying to be amusing.

::better not give up the day job emoticon::

The Bloke is Harry, although I have spent the last decade offering to buy him leather trousers to go with his biking jacket and boots. Vroom vroom!

SupermassiveLBD · 05/10/2011 21:46

The Man spends a lot of time tied up, so maybe we should indeed try that out on the DHs.

That would stop them monopolising the TV remote

PassTheTwiglets · 05/10/2011 21:50

They would probably suit DrT but it's more his personality - he is as un-leather-trousery as you could imagine. To give you a clue, whenever we go to the beach in the summer, he still wears long trousers, cardy and proper shoes :o I bought him some knee-length shorts one and he practically had a heart attack.

LadyD, he is aware now but wasn't aware when it was bought - he's usually found out by accident eg. when I accidentally referred to a particular shirt as his Porter shirt it kind of gave the game away :)

PassTheTwiglets · 05/10/2011 21:51

Yes, DrT is quite Harryish as well. In fact he has a jumper that DS calls his cuddle jumper which I find very cute :)

You've just described any weekday evening at Casa Maud!

Oh, and one more for the lexicon. Nosferatu.

LadyDamerel · 05/10/2011 21:57

Twigs, I am nearly crying with laughter at your description of DrTwigs on the beach and I can't explain to LordD just what is so funny.
