::cough::

I am willing to concede that he may even have been recently washed in that picture.

SupermassiveLBD · 08/10/2011 19:34

Fresh from the jacuzzi at PJ's Beauty Salon and Spa. Be still my beating heart.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 08/10/2011 19:36

Hmm. I suppose so. But I prefer a gentleman who smells discreetly of soap and cologne from the outset.

SupermassiveLBD · 08/10/2011 19:41

Mmmm, can't dispute the loveliness of that... But you know your old pal Massive, Maudie. She doesn't do gentlemen.

LadyDamerel · 08/10/2011 19:45

Massive, much as I shall miss you, it is a Good Thing that you will not be here imminently as thoughts of tubbing and scrubbing Gizzy are not conducive to successful cake decorating. The trembling hands and sweaty palms do not have a positive effect on the icing.

Mind you, Maud's pic has a similar effect. I do like a man in a tux and that particular Man wears one extremely well.

Russianpony · 08/10/2011 19:46

Does he not play chess Massive?? Or else I'm sure you can discuss the benefits of bathing frequently!WinkSmile

SupermassiveLBD · 08/10/2011 19:50

I suppose it would indeed put the kibosh on your delicate lattticework, LadyD. Or don't you do that sort of thing, nowadays?

SupermassiveLBD · 08/10/2011 19:55

He might indeed play chess, RP. the trouble is, I don't, having just about mastered Ludo, in the board games department.

I am sure you are all mistaken about his personal hygiene, he was always pretty fastidious, pre-Marian kebab days at least. If later on he got a wee bit depressed it's only undertandable he should not be quite as well-turned out as he used to be.

Give the Guy a break! Grin

DumSpiroSpero · 08/10/2011 19:59

Yum, yum & thrice yum!

Well, we had a bit of a Shock this avo. BIL rocked up at teatime all the way from the Big Smoke with his DP to announce that after 14 years & 2 kids they're getting married next spring! Grin

Any ideas for new thread title?

LadyDamerel · 08/10/2011 20:04

Pre-Marian-Kebab-Gizzy was far less greasy than the PLFW, to be fair.

No latticework, thank goodness. The fashions in cake world have moved away from elaborate royal icing, fortuitously for me as I am hopeless at it. I am making a Manchester United logo tonight which involves lots of careful scribing and cutting out.

Speaking of which, I should not be here.

BBL.

SupermassiveLBD · 08/10/2011 20:06

Oooh, Spiro, you can get a new hat! At which thought I am sure you are totally thrilled. Congrats, anyway to your BIL.

Whose turn is it this time? Ricky Deeming hasn't received much attention, so we could always have something along the lines of zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance, but my brain refuses to be kickstarted into an appropriate pun atm.

LadyDamerel · 08/10/2011 20:21

Didn't Small have one ready last time but was AWOL when we needed to move in? Is she on comms tonight?

LadyDamerel · 08/10/2011 20:23

A new hat would also necessitate the purchase of a new dress, new shoes and new bag, would it not?

(Do they need a wedding cake? I can combine delivery with a visit to BRP Grin)

Russianpony · 08/10/2011 20:27

Oooh Spiro - how exciting! Love a wedding i do and the excuse to party round my handbag on the dance floor!!

I'm not witty nor funny enough to christen the new building so I'll leave it to you esteemed ladies!Grin. I just do it at times of desperation at the beginning when I thought I might lose you all !

PassTheTwiglets · 08/10/2011 20:28

How fun about your BIL! I wonder what makes you suddenly decide to get married after all that time?

Maud, what was the name of that dancing you & Bloke used to do? I'd never heard of it before so forget the name. Just watched Strictly and I want to go daaaaaaaaaancing! Not that DrT would ever come with me - he files Dancing under the same category as The Beach :)

TheSmallPrint · 08/10/2011 20:39

Evening all did I hear my name? I haven't got a thread title that I can remember but I like Massive's idea.

And welcome Khandy, I have also read TGP but, not being such a fussy mare like the rest of this lot as well read as my fellow academics I just enjoyed the story for the story. Grin

Anyone watching X factor? They have just sung Something Kind Of Ooh, I can't help but think of that vid.

TheSmallPrint · 08/10/2011 20:41

Oh sorry I forgot to say how exciting about the wedding, when can we start planning your outfit? Grin

TheSmallPrint · 08/10/2011 20:48

Twigs I think Maud said she did Ceroc? Its sort of jivey if I remember correctly, I used to have some friends who did it.

Russianpony · 08/10/2011 20:49

We're watching it small!! Obviously interested in the little soldier boy!Wink

PassTheTwiglets · 08/10/2011 20:51

That was it, thanks Small! Yes it was jivey, I Googled it at the time and loved the look of it. I would LOVE to be able to dance properly.

Not watching X Factor here...

TheSmallPrint · 08/10/2011 21:00

They are quite good this year, Louis is doing his usual and making his people look rubbish. Who is the soldier RP? I missed that bit.

TheSmallPrint · 08/10/2011 21:00

We need a home! Shall I go and do the Ricky Deeming one?

LadyDamerel · 08/10/2011 21:05

Yes.

SupermassiveLBD · 08/10/2011 21:06

Sorry, Small, I've been and gone and done it. Hope that's okay? Blush
