Bitey Night all!

Night night!

See you at some unearthly hour in the morning Hmm.

DumSpiroSpero · 02/10/2011 03:09

Is this unearthly enough for you? And halfway through a dream about Gizzy too;

"Muuuummmmyyyyy..."

I swear Miss Spiro has a sixth sense.

Russianpony · 02/10/2011 06:08

Obviously missS is your inner conscience!Grin
Envy at the gizzy dReAm though!! Was it a good one???

How was your night Lady D? Hope peaceful and full of sweet dreams too?!

I'm such a fresher to all these works of art of our subject - must research this John standridge further!

Blush as well as educating me on the immense subject of leather, sword polishing and English literary greats, this academy is making me realise that four years out of the working world has been immensely detrimental on my spelling! Thank goodness for spell-check! Must try harder!!Blush

LadyDamerel · 02/10/2011 07:55

::props eyes open with matchsticks::

They woke up at 5:15. I've had about 3 hours sleep because one of them (and I still don't know which one) kept shouting out in her sleep but of course, by the time I'd got in there to check she'd settled down again Hmm.

Not long before they're all collected now...

Spiro, I hope you managed to go back to sleep.

Russianpony · 02/10/2011 08:20

5.15's not bad - 'twas the time I woke up this morning! But have been back to sleep since then!!Grin

Did MissD enjoy her party? And the sugar paste horse which bears no resemblance to a certain Man and his horse, did he it go down well?

What awaits everyone on this sunny Sunday? We've got homework etc and an ironing mountain which makes everest look insignificant! Planning if I can have my wicked way to leave The Colonel in charge of homework while I spend the afternoon in peace with my ironing and see if Mr Thornton may like to keep me company as I've never actually seen him in full swing yet!Grin

DumSpiroSpero · 02/10/2011 09:41

5.15's not bad?! Shock

My interruption was thankfully brief & am only just getting up so can't complain. No more Gizzy though Sad, not that anything particularly interesting was going in but it had potential. Any chance you'll get a siesta later Lady D?

As for your mention of Mr Thornton and swinging in the same sentence...prepare yourself for the wrath of Maud RP! Grin

Going on, of course...Blush

ROFLMBO @ that Freudian slip, Spiro Grin. Wishful thinking, my dear?

They have all gone. I have decamped to the bedroom and ordered the MiniDs to ask LordD for what they need for an hour.

5:15 isn;t that bad in this house, to be fair but usually I can turn the TV on for MasterD2 and go back to bed. I didn't think I ought to do that today though.

My ears are still ringing, how do 8 small girls make so much noise?

PassTheTwiglets · 02/10/2011 10:21

Bonjour peeps! LadyD, my GOODNESS at the idea of a sleepover party with 6 year olds Shock How is it all now - are you in a state of shock? I hope you'll be able to have a nice, relaxing day after yesterday!

Had a nice day yesterday. We spent a few hours on the beach and had a swim in the sea and the weather was beautiful. Bought 7 cases of wine should last me til the end of the month. Massive, you were so kind to share your toys. There I was, listening to some parental nonsense and feeling my hackles start to rise, when Gizzy leaned over from the back seat, put his hands on my shoulders and whispered "ssshhhhh" and I was all calm again. Honest to God, he did Blush It was most unexpected. And most fabulous :o

PassTheTwiglets · 02/10/2011 10:22

Oh, meant to say that I roared with laughter at LadyD's lifeguard/pole thing :o Also very much liked "things to do, swords to polish" :)

PassTheTwiglets · 02/10/2011 10:25

Sorry for 3rd post in quick succession but I forgot to ask LadyD a question. How long will a Madeira cake, with buttercream filling and fondant covering last? The earliest I've done it was 3 days in advance but would be alright for longer or not? Thank you!! I have to make a cake for my niece's 1st birthday and it looks quite tricky so I can't imagine being able to do it at the last minute...

DumSpiroSpero · 02/10/2011 10:59

My ears are still ringing, how do 8 small girls make so much noise?

I know - they don't get any better by the time they're 7 I can assure you - they scream purely for fun?! Bonkers...

Glad you had a lovely day Twigs (no sightings of John Lucas in his speedos then? Wink)

I am trying to get my head around Kindle's self-publishing rules and regs at the moment - not sure that's an entirely sensible thing to be doing on a Sunday morning. Confused Confused Confused

OP posts:
PassTheTwiglets · 02/10/2011 11:08

No sightings Spiro, no - but then I do tend to mentally block the Speedos :) Lots of bikers around though, but none that looked like him :)

Welcome back Twigs!! Your biker comment reminded me of my neighbour - not really my cup of tea, but last week on my Gizzy-realisation day I saw him walking away from me in his biker leathers and swoon - my imagination ran away from me!!Grin

LadyD I'm surprised you didn't wear ear-plugs to be honest! You won't be able to hear properly again!! But yup 7 year olds are not much better!

Spiro - sounds much too complicated for a Sunday morning!!

LadyDamerel · 02/10/2011 11:37

Oh yes, we had the random screaming sessions - WHY? Why do they do that?

Earplugs would have been an excellent idea in retrospect, I agree.

My cakes last for a good week, uncut, Twigs, so it should be fine.

Russianpony · 02/10/2011 11:40

Wish I knew! I suppose we used to be 6 year old girls, why did we?!Grin

Although I can't remember....!

Russianpony · 02/10/2011 12:50

::pops head round door quietly to check for Maud::

::Leads Mr T gently by the hand out the door with her::

Just borrowing him for an hour or so Maud just to help with my ironing!Grin

PassTheTwiglets · 02/10/2011 13:22

BEEEEEP, BEEEEEEEP, BEEEEEEP

Oh dear, RP - I think you set off Maud's tripwire... or did you forget to remove Mr Thornton's security tag? amateurs....

Russianpony · 02/10/2011 13:40

Ah thanks twigs! I did wonder what that noise was and why he was vibrating!Wink

Russianpony · 02/10/2011 13:53

I'll just place him back where I found him!

There you go Mr T ::pats him gently on his knee::Smile

PassTheTwiglets · 02/10/2011 14:11

pats him gently on his knee

What a waste of a pat...

Russianpony · 02/10/2011 14:24

Don't worry Twigs there were no wasting of pats while I had him outside! Just not an exhibitionist so restrained myself inside the academy!Grin
