Hello ladies. I am suffering from the dreaded swollen eyes again so forgive me if i make even more typos than usual.

Twigs, I am glad you had a good time over on the continong, and how nice that Gizzy turned up to calm you down in a moment of extreme parent-generated stress. So special, as he is not in general a very restful sort of person.

Gasp of horror at the thought of screaming sleepovers and five o'clock awakenings. Later on, though, it will be ll you can do to winkle them out of bed at lunch-time. Okay for weekends but when you have to get them up for school, it is such a bind to have to go in and poke them every five minutes, because if they should be late at the end of it all, it will be your fault.

I didn't turn a hair at nothing important going in at first. Well this is a Spiro dream, I thought.Wink No sorry, it is mean of me to tease when i am just as bad. but just Envy cos it's ages since I have had a Gizzy one

And ROFLMBO @ Mr T and his security tag.

Nohing interesting to report here, just general boring RL stuff, though the menfolk are all out atm. I don't know when thy'll be back though, could be any minute so no time to get my Gizzy, JP or Lucas on. or even dear John S, Now there is a sweetie-pie worth a second glance.

SupermassiveLBD · 02/10/2011 14:37

Sorry, I should have said interesting, not important

Russianpony · 02/10/2011 15:36

LOL at well this is a Spiro dream :o Hope your icky eyes are better soon, Massive.

We have had a fabby afternoon just watching TV, sampling yesterday's wine haul and eating smelly cheese. The kids never usually let us do that but, perhaps because of very busy days apart yesterday, they've been content to play together without arguing or bothering us much. Outnumbered was great this week. Spiro, I meant to tell you that you should try to check out the previous series of that because, imo, they were muuuuuuuch funnier than the current series (I think Karen was funnier when she was younger).

DumSpiroSpero · 02/10/2011 16:40

RP - have you tried play.com? They don't charge postage.

As for 'extreme parent induced stress' - can you said Gizzy my way when you've got a mo I'll even beg if necessary

SupermassiveLBD · 02/10/2011 17:20

You'd better ask Twigs, Spiro, she had him last. double entendre hopefully applicable

PassTheTwiglets · 02/10/2011 17:52

I left him in France, Spiro but hopefully, if you are a very bad good girl then he'll pay you a visit :)

eBay is the other option, RP. Or downloading

Russianpony · 02/10/2011 18:25

Very careless of you to leave him in France twigs!!Grin

I agree outnumbered is great and Karen was funnier when younger - a tiny bit more contrived now but the younger boy just cracks me up!!Grin

LOL at the amazon emails Massive! You've had a few then?!

I'll check out play.com and other options!

Poor you Spiro with stressy parents. Suppose that's where I'm lucky living in a different country to my parents. MIL is quite poorly at mo so must make more effort with her - definitely not a bad MIL specimen I've got there!Smile

Nearly spooks!! And I still miss Lucas!!SadGrin

Russianpony · 02/10/2011 20:24

Finally finished climbing everest!! my word was it hard work!! And hot - I look like this now Blush!! Grin

Half an hour til bed and spooks!!Smile

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 02/10/2011 20:32

Ah yes, Spooks. The weekly episode of the preposterous.

At the moment we are watching a Star Trek film - the one with the young Kirk and Spock.

::not really grasped what's going on emoticon::

Russianpony · 02/10/2011 20:34

I really never got star trek. Even went out with a Trekkie what on earth was I thinking but I was young and innocent! for about 3 months!! He was definitely slightly weird! and had hair where I don't like hair on men!!!Confused

Russianpony · 02/10/2011 20:35

Oh and I don't mean a beard!!Grin

SupermassiveLBD · 02/10/2011 20:38

It's all about boldly going, Maud. where they've already been before, to the tune of five TV series and ten full length movies.

SupermassiveLBD · 02/10/2011 20:40

Maybe he was really an undercover Wookie, RP. Oh wait, that's the wrong universe. Grin

LadyDamerel · 02/10/2011 20:51

Star Trek completely passed me by. I know about the chap with the pointy ears (Spock) and we used to sing the 'Star trekking across the universe, always going forward because we can't find reverse' song at Junior school but there my knowledge ends.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 02/10/2011 20:52

Oh yes, Massive, that much I know. But the plot here eludes me.

::Tries not to think of the back catalogue of men she dated before The Bloke hove into view::

SupermassiveLBD · 02/10/2011 21:01

I seem to remember it's a bit like Back to the Future. People going back in time and accidentally changing history.

Russianpony · 02/10/2011 21:03

I fear you may be being wookiest Massive. They are bald in comparison though to be fair I think trekkie's major problem was an issue with gravitational pull as his head hair was definitely just slipping downwards and backwards!!Grin. Ah I shouldn't be cheeky - he boosted my confidence no end until he dumped me as he'd "met someone else who made him realise I wasn't the only woman in the world!". He was a bit stalkerish in hindsight!Grin

But if it hadn't been for him I'd not have had the confidence to go after The Colonel and here we are 15 years later happily married!!!Grin

Right spooks!!Smile

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 02/10/2011 21:03

Yes! We seem to have a bit of that now, with a very baby-faced James T Kirk talking to a gnarled and grizzled Spock.

SupermassiveLBD · 02/10/2011 21:03

Tries not to think of the back catalogue of men she dated

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 02/10/2011 21:05

Mr Thornton knows that everything changed for me when I met him, first of all on the page and then through the medium of that nice Mr Logie Baird's invention. My life divides into BT (Before Thornton) and AT (After Thornton).

SupermassiveLBD · 02/10/2011 21:15

Ah, yes indeed, the BCE {Before ChaRActer Era}

It seems like a whole other universe, now. much like the one in Maudie's StarTrek film, with the planet Vulcan self-destructing without so much as a by-your-logical-leave, when it really shouldn't have done..

SupermassiveLBD · 02/10/2011 21:16

Oooh, sorry, hope you have already got to that bit.
