Ta-da!

Come on then Lady D, wallop the Champagne over our bow :)

And with that image passing through my mind on an endless loop, I'm going to bed too.

Bitey Knight.

DumSpiroSpero · 28/09/2011 00:27

And if that image is not enough ...

Night, night! Wink

SupermassiveLBD · 28/09/2011 00:34

Guh! Grin

Thank you LadyD, meanwhile, for joining us, and sitting with me so enthusiastically in the Gizzy-lusting corner.

SupermassiveLBD · 28/09/2011 00:43

And so to bed.

Night, all!

LadyDamerel · 28/09/2011 00:46

::looks back at you::

Always happy to lust over Gizzy keep you company, Massive.

Thanks for that Spiro Hmm.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 28/09/2011 00:52

::looks back once more::

And thank you, Massive, for always being such a wise and witty contributor to our learned and erudite colloquies.

A domani.

PassTheTwiglets · 28/09/2011 07:55

Morning, all. Lots to catch up on from last night but just popping in briefly to say that I had a dReAm last night! He wasn't very nice though :( He was on a train that I was on (not the Eurostar, Spiro :o) and I was walking up and down the carriages trying to find him but also trying to not let him see me as I was too embarrassed. Then MissTwigs and I found him in a park (it was a coincidence, I wasn't dream-stalking :)) and I asked him if MissT could have her photo taken with him but he didn't look us in the eye* and just walked on, giving a dismissive hand gesture and saying "no, I'm far too busy" and MissT was really sad :(

Oh but he was beautiful though, he looked just like my favourite Lucas incarnation

  • just realised, that bit probably came from the LK interview we were talking about, where he wouldn't look at her.

DumSpiroSpero · 28/09/2011 08:09

I never have proper dReAms (even nasty ones!).

Whenever I sense he's about to turn up, instead of his dulcet tones, I usually hear, "Muuummmmmyyyyyy - wake up Mummy!"

LadyDamerel · 28/09/2011 08:10

You need Siggy to decode that one, Twigs. He made it off his sick bed briefly last night.

I reckon it came from the discussion about the hyper-perfection that is attributed to him and the dReAm was your mind's way of reminding you that he is an ordinary human although we know he is actually a God.

Russianpony · 28/09/2011 08:32

I'm with lady D in that one!! We had a busy day yesterday in the academy!!!

Well I've actually persuaded the Colonel to take the day off stalking bushes and getting muddy chasing baddies sitting behind a desk reading and sending emails! so hopefully BBL.

Have gReAt days all. Grin

PassTheTwiglets · 28/09/2011 09:26

I think you are right, LadyD. Very clever!

Right, off to read your inane nonsense learned discourse form last night.

OP posts:
PassTheTwiglets · 28/09/2011 10:07

OK, all caught up now. A few replies but feel free to ignore as the conversation has obviously moved on now :)

Firstly, a meet-up - oooh, yes please! I can come up pretty much anytime but preferably not Mon or Tues.

Massive: thanks for inventing one of the Academy mainstays
Eh? What would that be then? #dim

I have filthy thoughts about all three seasons' Gizzys.
at that. But also reminded me that I meant to ask if there was anything behind the spelling of philthy on that site? Was it just a typo or am I missing a reference?

LadyD: I am half considering adding Spooks 7 to the Box of Lust. Would that be bad?
Only if you don't also add S8 and S9 :) My Draw Of Delights is quite jam-packed now. Father Christmas is going to bring me the Marie Lloyd DVD though, hopefully.

RP: Oooh ladies look his voice is on TV on Saturday!!
Oh don't remind me - that was the one I switched over to during some ads and DrTwigs asked "Why are you watching that?" I shrugged & changed the subject and then about 5 mins later he burst out laughing as he got it :)

RP: What about frozen?
I wouldn't bother, unless it's very cheap. It's ok but very odd. And I hated the ending. He's pretty in it, natch, but I wouldn't say it's one that has to be seen.

RP: I'm liking his ears too now
Have just realised I think Twiglets were invented during your absence - do you know what Twiglets are in the context of RA? I will explain if not.

LadyV, so sorry I missed you last night! Dying to know what your confessions were but you are probably gone now.

And finally, RP, your book club choice made me smile as the lyrics to that song are extremely apt for the Academy: The very thought of you and I forget to do the little ordinary things that everyone ought to do. Indeed, like not burning the dinner, remembering to pick the kids up from school etc. :)

I was planning a softly, softly approach, maybe one every few days months rather than drawing too much attention to my sudden interest in MI5 Grin.

Right, lots to do.

Sylvester is currently narrating the cake baking, I have a supermarket shop ::yawn:: to do and all the beds to remake.

BBL.

DumSpiroSpero · 28/09/2011 11:02

I was listening to the other day and thinking it would be ideal for a fan vid - particularly with reference to kids and dinner!!! Grin

In fact I have built it into Miss Spiro's lullaby repertoire which makes bedtime slightly less trying as I can have a good old daydream while I sing it to her.

Twigs - I notice you didn't actual own up to the meaning behind your name on that other thread yesterday! Wink

Frozen is weird - I still haven't round to watching the end of it, Marie Lloyd is lovely until he turns into a jealous control freak but you can kind of understand why.

SupermassiveLBD · 28/09/2011 11:35

Busy busy busy Angry No time for the really important things in life, and we all know what those are . And young Alan agrees with me.

Twigs, wasn't it you who invented Twiglets? I am sure it was. If not, then thank you, instead, for your boundless enthusiasm on the subject Grin

I wondered about the spelling of flithy too Confused I just took it as an attempt to look intellectual.

SupermassiveLBD · 28/09/2011 11:37

Curses, I forgot to say how much i enjoyed the Ella Fitzgerald. I got quite carried away, looking at all the different version of all the lovely standards. You could spend all day on there.

DumSpiroSpero · 28/09/2011 11:51

I love Ella Fitzgerald. My dad once got to watch her in concert from the wings as he'd booked seats to see her but there was a cock up with the tickets. Grin

SupermassiveLBD · 28/09/2011 12:13

I think they'd have their oestrogen detectors switched on and wouldn't let us within a hundred yards of the stage.

PassTheTwiglets · 28/09/2011 12:13

The delightful Sylvester was accompanying my online Christmas shopping this morning, LadyD :)

Spiro, no I didn't own up :) I thought we wanted to remain anonymous here, or I would have :)

Massive, aha, the Twiglets. I thought you were making reference to something I'd just said, which is what confused me doesn't take much It was a sort of joint effort between Maud and I - she first suggested the Twiglets as a suitable snack, as I had just commented on wanting to nibble the wonky bit cute little idiosyncracy on his ears for those in need of a nibble, but it was me who turned Twiglets into a euphemism.

Don McLean does a beautifgul version of The Very Thought Of You - in fact that was where I first heard the song.

Right, off to the swimming pool avec le petit Twig.

OP posts:
LadyDamerel · 28/09/2011 12:17

Surely there is a fanvid to the Ella Fitzgerald song, am I being dim again?

Twigs, I meant to say yesterday, the banner from yesterday is the standard of Richard III. It's a white boar and the white rose of Yorkshire. Can't remember the relevance of the boar offhand - it's been a while since I read the book.

SupermassiveLBD · 28/09/2011 12:28

There's a bit about the white boar here

SupermassiveLBD · 28/09/2011 12:31

And from the sublime Ella to another aspect of the sublime. Grin

I meant to post for us Gizzy Girls last night but didn't get round to it

Grin Grin Grin

Russianpony · 28/09/2011 13:31

Just popping head round door so haven't time to really catch up and drool over any links but twigs I think I probably was away during that moment! Hmm

Amazing how we can turn pretty much anything into a link to the man - even my book club book!!Grin. Definitely going to suggest the hobbit tonight - see if I can get some closet AdmiRers to admit their addiction!!Smile

DumSpiroSpero · 28/09/2011 13:36

ROFL at this, especially this from the last paragraph:

Interestingly, my tweet about said encounter got a lot of interest from Richard Armitage fans. Who knew? He has quite a following of devoted fans. No one asked about Orlando!

Grin
DumSpiroSpero · 28/09/2011 13:54

I know we've had before, but I was reminded of it by the Confessions website and had another look and...

...wibble...

...THUD!
