Ta-da!

Come on then Lady D, wallop the Champagne over our bow :)

Ooh not seen those clocks before. Does sound lovely but annoying if it actually makes child get up! We've got the gro-clock which counts down stars and then changes colour as the sun is waking up. Had a light bunny one for DD that worked wonders but finally broke as is it came everywhere with us!! This gro-clock seems more robust!

I'm on for a parry on Tuesday. Will be after 9 as I have spinning to 8.30! Have to hope some rugby/cricket is on to amuse the Colonel!

Has it really been a year??? Wonder if we could find our very first thread? If you all don't mind could you tell me who you were a year ago? I think I'm working it all out but sometimes confused!!!Grin

Who is it that has the DH who looks uncannily like the Man? I'm sure someone on the thread posted photos of him and we were all ver ver EnvyEnvyGrin

As for ultimate farce! Have to say that I again watched that but didn't register The Man back then! (too busy laughing at the total rubbish plot and lack of attention to military detail with the Colonel!! - hence it is known as ultimate farce in this house!!

From what you all say we'll not have the same issue with strike back which I have informed the colonel he will be vetting for his birthday!! He's quite happy if he gets the outcome IYKWIMWink. I finally admitted that I'd re-enrolled in the academy. He can't believe it is still going well and laughed!!Shock but as long as I don't ignore him completely he'll be fine!! He's even offered to pretend to be Lucas for me!!!GrinGrin

DumSpiroSpero · 24/09/2011 10:17

Your DH sounds like a hoot, RP! Grin

Am now on second train in a section with 14 seats (dd now parked & happy) there are 3 other seats available, one being jealously guarded by an old bid who clearly likes her own space so is studiously ignoring me, the others occupied by suitcases which are apparently more in need of a seat than a human being!

Even DD's suggestion that I have her seat & she sits on my lap has been studiously ignored.

I have to admit I've not done too badly with the old Colonel - may be tired and grumpy from time to time but generally cos he works too hard and I'm not exactly full of the joys of spring every moment either!!Grin

He'll happily be our military consultant on all things military or rugby or cricket-ey!

Spiro - I'd forgotten you having a girly day out today - hope it is fun despite the public transport - how on earth they think they are going to cope with the olympics traffic I have no idea!

Did we really start back in AIBU???? I happen to think we are definitely not being unreasonable in the slightest!!!Grin

Right - best get lunch out before it's burnt! And then I'm off to my 4th 4 year old party in 8 days!! At soft play hell!!! Think of me, while I think of HIM!

::wakes up in the middle of the dance floor::

A year? Oh my! How much we have made out of so little!

I will be out on Tuesday, but probably back in time for some of the party.

::contemplates another sad Saturday evening on her own::

::wonders whether dear Johnnie would like a philosophical discussion::

Russianpony · 24/09/2011 17:48

How's the head Maud?Grin

I'll be around and about this evening if you and johnny need any further viewpoints and theories to discuss!

By the way was I imagining or is The Voice of Angel on an LG camera advert??Hmm. Certainly sounded like him or am I starting to hallucinate?Confused

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 24/09/2011 17:54

The head is absolutely exquisite, RussianPony. Oh, you meant mine. That's fine too, thanks to Mr Thornton's gentle ministrations.

The Dept of Wikipedia says he has done a voiceover for an LG smartphone.

Russianpony · 24/09/2011 18:06

And here it is!!!

Also remembered I'd heard him on the Sky Sports HD adverts!

Glad to here your head is crystal clear today - was concerned after you were being plied with Wine and then left alone on the dance floor. I hope you found some ! I think there is a tiny snap shot of the man right towards the end, but no dancing I'm afraid!!Grin

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 24/09/2011 18:50

::sigh::

Dear, dear Mr Thornton. He is keeping me company now as I tackle the ironing backlog. It is true we never see him dance but I can vouchsafe that .

LadyDamerel · 24/09/2011 20:03

Speaking of dancing, I am out Dancing for real tonight but I am leaving The Amazing Dancing Buffoon for your entertainment.

He can provide jazz hands, Superman, the embarrassing uncle slide and just general embarrassment.

Enjoy!

SupermassiveLBD · 24/09/2011 20:11

::waves from kitchen in process of serving tea and biccies to folks::

What were they thinkng of to put the Man through that, LadyD?

All together now: The poor lamb

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 24/09/2011 20:17

::Blush on his behalf emoticon::

SupermassiveLBD · 24/09/2011 20:23

Lovin' that languid long-legged lope.

Just scalded my thumb on the kettle now, in my enthusiasm.

Russianpony · 24/09/2011 20:36

He certainly walks well!! Less sure about his dancing ability now but if he had me on a dance floor I wouldn't be caring about his moves!!!Grin

DumSpiroSpero · 24/09/2011 20:37

Evening!

Grin
Russianpony · 24/09/2011 20:44

Aw Spiro I'm desperate to listen to that now! Envy
Secretly on my phone with sound off and The Colonel is being quite cross with me about getting off my phone!! I do like a forceful/dominant man!!!Wink

How was your day out, Spiro?

DumSpiroSpero · 24/09/2011 20:56

Day out was ok. Miss S was decidedly underwhelmed with the V & A (not interactive enough for her liking), although we spent a good few hours there and she was strangely transfixed by this.

Then we popped over the road to the Science Museum which went down a bit better - turns out she's quite a whizz with electric circuits Confused!

Russianpony · 24/09/2011 21:08

Nice carpet there!!! Wish I had a room
Big enough (let alone a whole downstairs big enough!!Grin). Should marry mr thornton if I can get passed Maud!!Grin he'd have room!!!

Big sigh from DH so stop tempting me with delicious videos!! What is it about ex waste sets actresses??

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 24/09/2011 21:09

A little of what you fancy does you good, indeed, Spiro. And that is a magnificent carpet, almost as sublime as the Academy Aubusson.

I did giggle at

"I think she's got my nose"

"Oh Percy, you shouldn't even joke about it".

DumSpiroSpero · 24/09/2011 21:19

I was very restrained was I not Maud? No bedsprings!

Russianpony · 24/09/2011 21:21

Waste sets = eastenders!!! But I'm sure you all worked that out!!!

He's got a mighty fine chiselled nasal appendage! I'd happily have it on my children!Grin

SupermassiveLBD · 24/09/2011 21:21

Hmm, later on though Percy is quite a naughty boy.

ROFL from me too at the nose bit.

Loving the carpet. Maybe Miss Spiro thought it was a flying one.

SupermassiveLBD · 24/09/2011 21:22

Maybe not so good on a girl though, RP

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 24/09/2011 21:26

I confess, Spiro, that when I opened the link I suspected wondered whether it was going to be Percy and Marie doing the horizontal tango.

A very fine appendage indeed

DumSpiroSpero · 24/09/2011 21:29

Loving the carpet. Maybe Miss Spiro thought it was a flying one.

I told her that was why it was in a glass case! Grin
