Oh and twigs!! I agree! Thanks for making me feel normal!!Grin

Russianpony · 23/09/2011 20:28

And finally! Massive what is LHC? Am I being stoopid (or slightly tipsy??). Smile

SupermassiveLBD · 23/09/2011 20:31

The Large Hadron Collider, RP.

SupermassiveLBD · 23/09/2011 20:34

They didn't have cricket in the 12th century, at least. But then they had archery, and tournaments and stuff.

Men don't change much do they?

Russianpony · 23/09/2011 20:39

Tournaments were probably more entertaining than this match!! Breaks every 2 mins for more Adverts!!!Grin

At least they dialogs for a purpose (normally over a lady's honour)! But yup men and sport always the same!

What sport does The Man play/watch? Or does he leave his free time for his cello playing I wonder????Smile

Russianpony · 23/09/2011 20:40

Dialogs = dual!!! On case you were wondering!!Grin

SupermassiveLBD · 23/09/2011 20:55

I have no idea about that, RP! He does take part in a rugby match in Ultimate Force but I don't know if he ever does it for real.

SupermassiveLBD · 23/09/2011 20:57

Mind you, cricket is riveting, compared to American football. or motor racing.

::Staggers in::

I made the mistake of looking at the confessions blog and now feel a little queasy. We need to get Sigmund off his sick bed and over there, pronto.

And as for The homicidal maniac tendencies were Vaisey's fault, the odious little worm. He corrupted him and took advantage of his vulnerability. I haven't accepted the "I didn't want to do it but [friend] made me excuse from The Girl since she was about four and I won't accept it from Gizzy, comely though he is.

Any Polish Cordial about?

SupermassiveLBD · 23/09/2011 22:44

Gotcha, Maud! To quote from the Classics.

I expect you need a stiff one, after reading that blog, my poor colleague.
You'll know better now, though...

As for Gizzy, I am afraid I am past caring about his motives, I just wuvs him.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 23/09/2011 22:48

Eh wot?

::downs Polish cordial gratefully and with an air of bewilderment::

Of course you just wuvs him, like I wuv dear Johnnie.

SupermassiveLBD · 23/09/2011 22:54

I was just lurking waiting for someone to post, Maud, that is why i said Gotcha, when you popped up. And that's a quote from the chaRActer I wuvs,

Want another Wine ?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 23/09/2011 22:57

Oh yeah, why not?

::Puts on dancing shoes and prepares to dance around handbag::

SupermassiveLBD · 23/09/2011 23:03

You are energetic tonight, Maud, has something special put a spring in your step or is it just your usual joie de vivre?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 23/09/2011 23:04
ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 23/09/2011 23:05

My usual joie de vivre? Eh? I am an old lady in my twilight years, but if you continue to ply me with Polish cordial I may get a little embarrassing creative on the dance floor.

SupermassiveLBD · 23/09/2011 23:13

That was very oooh, indeed. Do have another Wine

.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 23/09/2011 23:19

Well, in that case, and as it's just you, me and the lurkers

SupermassiveLBD · 23/09/2011 23:32

Some of those shots of Lucas are incredible. I must revisit Spooks eventually.

SupermassiveLBD · 23/09/2011 23:36

I must revisit my bed too, I am flagging here. Sorry to leave you in the lurch like this.

Bitey Knighty, to all!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 23/09/2011 23:43

::collapses in the middle of the dance floor, sad and alone::

PassTheTwiglets · 24/09/2011 06:19

Morning, chaps. 3 hours sleep for me - I may not be up too late at the party tonight. So annoying as I always get a daytime sleep on a Saturday, so I could've made up for it, but the outlaws are coming today so I can't. Gah.

What happened Twigs? Hope you're all ok.

I didn't have a great night either - I bought Miss S one of these the other day to encourage her to stay in bed until a certain time in the mornings, and also as a night light.

Apparently she woke up every time it changed colour - so every hour on the hour I had a little visitor to my side of the bed. Confused

Perhaps we should make tonight an informal gathering and have a 'proper party' on our actual anniversary on Tuesday? Would that be better for everyone - as I know a couple of other Academicians couldn't make tonight either?

PassTheTwiglets · 24/09/2011 08:19

Sorry your night wasn't good either, Spiro! Was a nuisance that something you bought ended up making the problem worse - annoying enough when a new strategy doesn't work, let alone when you've shelled out money for it.

I went to bed late (midnightish) but then my healthy dinner with tons of veggies disagreed with me and I was up for an hour or two with that*, then TwigBoy woke up at 4.50am Shock I've booked the kids into a drama club for this morning, otherwise I'd have gone back to bed when DrT wakes up.

That might be a good idea about tonight/Tuesday, as a few of us are away. Is Tuesday ok with you though - is it not as easy to MN when MrS is home?

  • perhaps that was nature's way of telling me I should've ordered a Chinese takeaway instead

It turns out that Mr S has scored (pardon the pun) a loan of his mate's footy season ticket on Tuesday night & I don't have work on Weds so Tuesday is fine by me.
We have got as far as Haywards Heath & got off to wait for next connection as train was so overcrowded and Miss S was not feeling great with the heat. She's fine on the tube cos she expects it to be busy and it's only a short trip but she was so upset it was horrible.

I will be writing an extremely strongly worded email to Southern Rail later this evening.Angry Sad
