Shame Spiro about next week - have we definitely decided that the 30th is a no-no? Maybe we should replan for next year, when we all have more time to organise something. Someone sometime has to make a definitive decision or else we'll all be ending up at different times/places and days!!

Shall we hold on to 30th for the time being, and if by next Weds eve people aren't going to be able to make it because of the strike or still don't know one way or the other, we'll reschedule for early spring (to prevent the weather cocking it up next time!).

Does anyone have any December dates they can do? I think we originally didn't bother trying because December is so busy but might be worth checking? My December is insane as DrT is away for much of it so I have hardly any dates I can do - but I will throw Wednesday 7th out there. If that doesn't work for people then maybe leave it til the New Year...

I don't mind either way re meet-up. It depends on how everyone feels about it all coming togther (or not) at the last minute really.

I have just had a look at the email from my head and klegally staff need to give their head's 7 days notice if they are intending to strike, so schools may not even know next Wednesday what's going on.

I know the point of a strike is to cause maximum chaos but surely they'd be better off not causing for the general public who they could do with having on their side .

I have no idea about March - Wednesdays aren't a very good day for me, but I have no way of telling how I'll be fixed. Perhaps we should all go to the MN Christmas meet-up. Of course, I would deny that we are a quiche because we work so hard to kidnap recruit new people, but I've also been wondering whether we should nominate a representative for the uber-quiche.
