WARNING

Don't forget your hard hat, hi-viz gear and parachute. We lost a careless vice-principal this way only last year.

Yes, it was Porter, Vamps.

DumSpiroSpero · 14/11/2011 22:52

And very hot he was too I may have even watched another one afterwards

TransylvanianVampiress · 14/11/2011 22:54

I did wonder where you'd all gone!!Wink

DumSpiroSpero · 14/11/2011 22:55

BTW, veering off-topic a bit...in a couple of the Spooks fanfics I've read there are references to Lucas' father being a vicar in Cumbria - does that actually get mentioned at some point in Spooks? I can't recall it, but have seen it in two fics by different authors so I guess it must come from somewhere.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 14/11/2011 22:56

::Not sure about Mr Porter but I do like Muse emeoticon::

LadyDamerel · 14/11/2011 22:58

Yes, it does, in the Dean episode of S7 - he tells Dean when they're standing in the kitchen of that safe house. I remember because it rang a bell from the GP FF.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 14/11/2011 22:59

Well, my legendary research skills confirm that North pere was actually a Methodist minister. It stuck in my mind because my friend's father is a Methodist minister.

TransylvanianVampiress · 14/11/2011 23:00

must be true it's in wikipedia! Grin

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 14/11/2011 23:03

I would normally treat Wikipedia with caution, but I reckon their Spooks stuff is probably reliable because if there was any inaccuracy, the Spooks geeks aficionados would have spotted and rectified it.

TransylvanianVampiress · 14/11/2011 23:03

What's GP FF?

Probably ought to snuggle down here go to bed. Mustn't go to sleep on an argument a wise woman told me once! Knight all. Don't let the bad bed bugs bite. Smile

SupermassiveLBD · 14/11/2011 23:04

So was that Lucas North or John Bateman that had the Cumbrian childhood?

I must dig out my Muse CD, I have vacuuming to do tomorrow.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 14/11/2011 23:13

Lucas, I think, Massive. It was part of his back story.

That's good advice, Vampy, but so is not putting up with the unacceptable as the price of keeping the peace. Sweet dreams!

SupermassiveLBD · 14/11/2011 23:15

Bitey Knight, Vampy. Which I suppose is the most appropriate way of saying goodnight to a vampire.

OP posts:
LadyDamerel · 14/11/2011 23:16

The Gruinard Project FanFic, Vampy. If you can get past the appalling grammar and spelling in the first few chapters it's a pretty good read.

I suppose, strictly speaking, the methodist dad was Lucas' but the whole Lucas/John storyline completely confuses me so I'm not the person to be asking!

LadyDamerel · 14/11/2011 23:18

Night Vampy!

I think I should follow Vampy's example and go to bed too. Only had 3 hours sleep last night thanks to a rare bout of insomnia combined with restless child and misbehaving dog Hmm.

See you tomorrow!

DumSpiroSpero · 14/11/2011 23:21

That wiki article was v. interesting, as was the minister 'thing', which means it would in fact be possible to produce a Lucas vid to

DumSpiroSpero · 14/11/2011 23:21

Bitey Knight Ladies!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 14/11/2011 23:22

Oh my. I thought as you lot all rave about it I'd make another attempt on the Gurnard Project. Would someone please delete the browsing history in my brain?

::dabs forehead with cologne-soaked hankie::

SupermassiveLBD · 14/11/2011 23:23

I am off to get some shut-eye too. I hope every Academy member has the dReAm of her dReAms.

OP posts:
DumSpiroSpero · 15/11/2011 00:08

Well, I have just been watching the 'Be with me' scene from RH, so if I don't have sweet dReAms I will be seriously unimpressed.

Having been willing to give Gizzy the benefit of the doubt, now that I've re-watched that I definitely think it was more than just her time he was after lucky moo

DumSpiroSpero · 15/11/2011 07:31

Well, so much for sweet dReAms - I had a nightmare and ending up shouting in my sleep so loudly I woke myself and Mr S up! Sad Blush

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 15/11/2011 09:11

Perhaps in your dream you were about to be kebabbed on a giant gladiolus, Spiro?

PassTheTwiglets · 15/11/2011 09:33

Oh Maud, don't start her off this early... :o

Vampy, you can tell the Colonel that I met my husband in a similar way to meeting you lot (internet friends who all met up) so not all internet people are axe-murderers, some of them are marriage-worthy :) Or that might freak him out more, I'm not sure :o

Can I do a bit of boasting here because I can't boast to anyone in RL about it! TwigBoy's nursery are having an inspector round this morning and the teacher has to show the file of one pupil and she told me that she chose TwigBoy because he is her top pupil!! I'm so thrilled!! After a few years of hearing that MissT is bad at this and bad at that, it's so lovely to hear something positive about your children.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 15/11/2011 09:44

Well done, TwigBoy! That has brought a smile to my face.

Apologies for the gratuitous mention of gladioli. Shall I see whether Sigmund is available to deal with the aftermath?

DumSpiroSpero · 15/11/2011 09:52

Well done Twigboy - how lovely for you.Smile

Won't be around much today but just sticking my head round the door to say I can't get next Wednesday off so I'm out as far as meet-up is concerned unfortunatly Sad.

BTW that analogy with the glads didn't even occur to me (not sure is have called that a nightmare though) Wink
