WARNING

Don't forget your hard hat, hi-viz gear and parachute. We lost a careless vice-principal this way only last year.

Cor! This one comes with super poseable horse!

TransylvanianVampiress · 14/11/2011 10:44

A horse with galloping features no less!!! Grin

Must go - got a client waiting. I'll try the music out on her as she's a friend too, so I'll get an honest answer!! Personally I'm not I can stand listening to it for an hour, but if it's meant to be relaxing for the client and they are the ones paying!! Smile

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 14/11/2011 10:51

::Wonders whether we should do an Academy Secret Santa - if so, I know what we're getting Massive and LadyD for Christmas!::

::wink::

TheSmallPrint · 14/11/2011 11:05

I am seriously thinking about buying that Gizzy for my sister's Christmas pressie! Grin She loves a bit of Gizzy she does.

I don't find that music offensive Vamps, as Muad said it is what you hear whenever you have therapies done. I think we're all used to it now.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 14/11/2011 11:14

::worries about a bidding war between Small, LadyD and Massive::

TransylvanianVampiress · 14/11/2011 12:18

What a fab idea Maud. Secret Santa for the meet up - have to somehow send Massive's through the Ethernet!Grin

I'm going to have to watch that item now and see what it goes for!!Wink

LadyDamerel · 14/11/2011 15:23

Don't worry, I shall let Small or Massive have that set.

::magnanimous::

I am, of course, stepping aside out of the goodness of my heart and not because I may have have won the complete castle set yesterday for less than that item, I may add Blush.

TransylvanianVampiress · 14/11/2011 15:49

Ohh well done Lady D! I bet you'll DS will love playing with that all Christmas Day!!Grin Did yours come complete with poseable galloping horses and chaRActers?! Wink

LadyDamerel · 14/11/2011 15:58

2 galloping, fully poseable horses, Gizzy (obviously), the Sheriff, the PLFW, Marian complete with Nightwatchman garb, 3 of the Gang and various weapons.

I MasterD2 is going to love it, although explaining the purchase to LordD may be a leetle tricky Grin.

PassTheTwiglets · 14/11/2011 16:01

Fabulous, LadyD! I can picture the scene on Christmas Day - "no< MasterD, it is not your turn, it is Mumm's turn..."

I missed out (ie. forgot to bid) on a firestation set I was going to get for TwigBoy and it was only down the road from me as well, whereas all the others want about £10 postage. Very frustrating. I usually always use a sniper program, so that I don't forget to bid but I forgot to do that too, DUH.

PassTheTwiglets · 14/11/2011 16:02

Mummy, obvs...

LadyDamerel · 14/11/2011 16:08

I can see some epic fights erupting between me MasterD2 & 1 over who gets to play with Gizzy. MasterD2 is a huge Gizzy fan (what do you mean, brainwashing? Shock) and is likely to refuse to be the PLFW.

TransylvanianVampiress · 14/11/2011 16:13

I am assuming Lady D that neither DS knows the full meaning of PLFW?! Grin

I'm going to have to come round and play with your Gizzy as the Colonel wouldn't let me buy one for me DS! [pouty sulk]

LadyDamerel · 14/11/2011 16:16

Grin. No. He's known as 'Rob' round these parts!

TheSmallPrint · 14/11/2011 16:38

I really don't think I could get away with a purchase like that Lady D Grin

TransylvanianVampiress · 14/11/2011 16:43

I know Small - at least a Porter bear I could pretend was a Daddy bear for the children!! Grin But a Robin Hood castleHmm - not so easy to explain away!!

LadyDamerel · 14/11/2011 17:01

I should get away with it as MasterD2 plays RH all the time. He carries a sword (broadsword, natch, although he can tell the difference between English and Saracen weapons ::proud::) everywhere and regularly defends his bedroom castle against the Gang, aka me, LordD and MiniDs 1&2. He shot LordD with an imaginary bow and arrow yesterday when LordD tried to bring him home from the park! All his knights are makeshift RH characters at present so he ought to love the real thing.

Do you think that's convincing enough? Grin

TransylvanianVampiress · 14/11/2011 17:13

You've managed that really well Lady D - I'm very very impressed with your subterfuge! Grin

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 14/11/2011 17:26

::Staggers in::

Oh my. The big, wide world is cold and dark at the moment. I have completed various admin tasks, including ordering some new glasses. The optician assured me I looked très très à la mode.

I am so glad to have contributed in some tiny way to the joys of Christmas at The Priory. So, who's bidding for Gizzy?

PassTheTwiglets · 14/11/2011 17:55

LOL @ MasterD2 shooting LordD when he had to go home from the park!! :o

Maud, what sort of glasses have you got? I am desperate for my prescription to change as I LOATHE my glasses. I thought they were so funky and gorgeous as they are purple with a couple of very tiny sparkly bits on. I thought "hey, they're like a piece of jewellery!". Then I realised "hey, they're like a piece of jewellery that you have to wear every single day" and I'm sick of them now.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 14/11/2011 18:13

I just showed you my new glasses, Twigoletto! Well, actually, I have two pairs on order because I am a sucker for the BOGOF offers in Specsavers a local optical boutique specialising in designer frames. My exacting criteria are

no blingy bits (although I did nearly weaken on this one) - I like funky designs but no actual diamante

no huge logos or name of designer plastered all over the arms (relented on this one last time but it still annoys me)

must not make me look like Herr Flick, so all wire-rimmed styles are out

must not make my face look fat accentuate my natural beauty

So that left about four styles and I ordered two of them. Do you wear your glasses all the time?

TransylvanianVampiress · 14/11/2011 18:43

I hate glasses shopping! Always do expensive but then as you said Twigs one does wear them every day! Although I'm attempting to wear my contact lenses more often at the moment! Just means I need to remember to get up earlier! I hate being practically blind!

Maud - your new glasses will make you look absolutely fabulous darling!Grin

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 14/11/2011 18:54

I would have been willing to do expensive - I spent a long time looking in our local independent £££ optician too - but found it so hard to find frames I liked, so ended up back where I started in Specsavers the other local optical boutique. But mine are designer frames and just in darrrling, so bang up to date and rather groovy.

::waves feather boa::

TransylvanianVampiress · 14/11/2011 18:57

I didn't mean I do expensive!! Not quite sure what my slightly larger than average thumbs meant to tap!!Grin. I meant to say that they always seem to expensive to get nice ones and I hate spending money! Particularly on things I don't really want but can't cope without!!

unlike random RA purchases which are obviously the complete opposite!!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 14/11/2011 19:06

Well, I've had these frames so long that I reckon they've cost me the equivalent of a few pence a week, so i could have justified buying more expensive ones if I'd found any I liked. Sadly, it's the lenses in mine which cost a small fortune.

::blind as a bat emoticon::
