WARNING

Don't forget your hard hat, hi-viz gear and parachute. We lost a careless vice-principal this way only last year.

Not me, teacher! but a woman after my own heart, obviously

Are you quite sure, Massive?

LadyDamerel · 13/11/2011 23:59

Such beautiful twinkles, almost on a par with someone else's whose name escapes me at present.

What was Robert Glenister like in the flesh? And Mackenzie Crook?

I saw that thread yesterday and almost invited her over but it had moved on a lot by that point.

SupermassiveLBD · 13/11/2011 23:59

Yes, it shoud be obvious if you look closer -- you will see she doesn't know how to spell Gizzy's surname. Shock

::backs up Massive::

Krystal is a newbie, she even introduced herself (and apparently committed a huge MN solecism in doing so Hmm).

I spy a potential new victim student!

LadyDamerel · 14/11/2011 00:03

That drives me wild on the fanfics, Massive. How can you not know how to spell his name if you are a genuine fan? Or Allan's, he frequently loses a 'l'.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 14/11/2011 00:06

Aha, but you might have done that to throw us off the scent. Even the MNer who uses it in her posting name spells it wrong, too.

Mr Glenister was very funny as the leader of the George Lucas-kidnapping gang and Mr Crook spent his time on stage in a dressing gown. Oh and Anthony Head was in two plays. What more can I say?

SupermassiveLBD · 14/11/2011 00:08

I have to admit to mispelling young Allan's name, now and then. but then I don't pay him very much attention, i suppose.

It sounds like a perfect evening Maud. I am most envious but I really must retire now.

A demain m'dears.

SupermassiveLBD · 14/11/2011 00:17

Me too, is that the time? Shock

I must away, perchance to dream of Gizzy's other side.

Goodnight, all. I am so glad you had a good time, Maud. I bet it brought back happy memories, too.

OP posts:
ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 14/11/2011 00:20

Good night all!

PassTheTwiglets · 14/11/2011 06:28

So glad you had a good time Maud, it sounds great. I love the premise of the Star Wars rewrite :) It sounds like it was a fab evening!

TransylvanianVampiress · 14/11/2011 07:55

Sounds ace Maud! I would love to go - the infectious excitement of the actors must be almost palpable while they are doing something like that!

Why is wrong to intorduce oneself on MN?Hmm. I do sometimes find this place bizarre apart from obviously the safety of inside the academy with our beautiful brave men protecting us!!

Hope all have good days. How's Twigboy? You going to get out and about this week Twigs?

PassTheTwiglets · 14/11/2011 08:08

I'm taking Twigboy to the doctors this morning. I have no idea what's up with him :( He seems ok in himself though so I am hoping that he will go to nursery for a few mornings this week. When I said he was going to the docs he said "oh goody, does that mean no school? 'Cos I HATE school..."

I have so much I want (correction, need) to get on with and I've had no time to myself what with him being off all last week. My mum didn't come down last week and this week she can only come for one day, all of which I am spending in MissT's class, grrr... but I am really looking forward to Wednesday because I'm going to the Ideal Home Christmas Show, woohoo!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 14/11/2011 09:37

Good luck at the doc's, Twigster. Hope they can say something definite - I hate it when they just say the medical equivalent of "Idunno".

I eased off on the cough medication and am getting worse.

::sobs::

I'm spending some time looking up last night's cast on iMDB and then I have to go and attend to some chores.

::slumps::

TheSmallPrint · 14/11/2011 10:16

Good luck at the doctors Twigs, maybe he has Preschoolitis?

Maud, get thee back to the docs also if your chet is getting worse.

I am just dealing with crappy contractors who think they know everything and are not afraid to say so even when they are talking out of their aris.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 14/11/2011 10:17

::weakly::

Yes, Small.

::pathetic cough::

TransylvanianVampiress · 14/11/2011 10:18

Oh Twigs - hope he is ok. I too hate it when they say "it's a non-specific viral...." - I think that's doctor speak for "we don't know really, but we don't think it's serious or warrants treatment, now go away you overly worrying parent!"

I've got a client at 11 and then hopefully meeting a friend for lunch to cheer up my Monday blues after my hard weekend - should be tackling the household chores too, but frankly just can't be ar*ed today!! And you know it take a lot to get me to swear! Smile

TransylvanianVampiress · 14/11/2011 10:20

Crossed with you Smallio!! Hope you have a better week too. Remember you have youR Army around you all the time!!Smile

Maud - and yes I meant to say if you cough is still not getting better, you really probably ought to get it re-checked out at some point.

I'm listening to some new music I've downloaded for my sessions and I'm really not sure it's me - makes me want to get a lighter out and wave it slowly above my head!! I'll try and find you a link to a sample!!

TransylvanianVampiress · 14/11/2011 10:22

have a listen if you dare! Hmm - it was recommended to me!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 14/11/2011 10:24

Tee hee! I just saw a thread title expressing outrage of the price of £150 for a plastic castle, which made me think of those Nottamun castles on Ebay (did Vampy or LadyD buy one in the end?) Anyway, that made me have another rummage on Ebay and ...

Lo and behold! Pristine Plastic Guy, still in his box!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 14/11/2011 10:29

::waves lighter aloft::

The place where I go to have my wrinkles ironed naturally youthful appearance maintained plays CDs just like that. Could even be the same one!

TransylvanianVampiress · 14/11/2011 10:31

Super posable with sword no less Maud!! Grin

No I didn't get a Nottamun Castle - The Colonel forebade it! He was probably right Vampboy wouldn't have got that much enjoyment out of it cos I would have been hogging it all the time!! Grin

TransylvanianVampiress · 14/11/2011 10:32

Does it offend you while you're lying back being ironed being youth-a-phised? It probably is the same one - has to be license-free or else you have to pay for a performance license. This just sounds like someone has made it up in their garage on a synthesiser! Reminds me of Ross in Friends, if anyone remembers that episode!! Grin

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 14/11/2011 10:34

I wonder whether Massive might buy him. The last one for sale looked as if he had been sorely used and abused but this one is (it seems) in perfect nick!

Meanwhile, perhaps I should buy this to entertain Mr Thornton as we relax on the Aubusson?
