ROFL at Maud!

That song came on in a shop the other week and I said exactly the same thing to Miss Spiro! Grin

::distrait::

Sorry, LadyD. My thoughts are still with Freddie.

Don't stop me now, cause I'm having a good time.

DumSpiroSpero · 05/09/2011 20:50

LG Optimus 3D ad has just come on telly - if you see it have a good listen and see if you also think it's The Man.

DumSpiroSpero · 05/09/2011 20:53

It's not my imagination is it?

LadyDamerel · 05/09/2011 21:00

Yup, definitely him. Didn't need a good listen, the first 2 words did it for me Grin.

TheSmallPrint · 05/09/2011 21:00

Definitely him Spiro.

SupermassiveLBD · 05/09/2011 21:03

Not if you judge by the comment underneath it, Spiro {grin]

Evening all

DumSpiroSpero · 05/09/2011 21:03

Thought so - I'll name that TDHCMO in 1!!!

OP posts:
DumSpiroSpero · 05/09/2011 21:04

Just seen that Massive - ROFL!!!

OP posts:
LadyDamerel · 05/09/2011 21:06

I have to say though, I'm not overly keen on his 'advert voice'. It's a bit growly (and not in a good, Gizzy way) and harsh for my liking. He used the same one for the Sky ads recently and it makes me what to shout "Talk properly!" at the TV Grin.

DumSpiroSpero · 05/09/2011 21:08

I'm just fascinated by the fact he can change his voice so much depending on what he's doing. I know what you mean about this one, but I quite like the Sky Sports voiceover (apart from the fact it is Sky Sports and that needs no advertising in this house Angry)

OP posts:
ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 05/09/2011 21:09

The fan site claims it as one of his.

::Rarely watch commercial tv and therefore clueless emoticon::

LadyDamerel · 05/09/2011 21:12

I suppose it is just a voice for the job, in the same way as all his characters' and it is impressive how many 'voices' he has. I just like his softer, slightly northern lilt.

SupermassiveLBD · 05/09/2011 21:18

The way he says "technologee" is a bit of a giveaway. I notice him doing that with words of with" -y" ending.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 05/09/2011 21:26

::Arranges cushions on the floor for Spiro, just in case::

SupermassiveLBD · 05/09/2011 21:26
SupermassiveLBD · 05/09/2011 21:31

Oh , send in the men with the white coats. I just 'heard' him saying it Grin

DumSpiroSpero · 05/09/2011 21:33

Were the cushions for 'Telephone' or for 'Rude Boy' which came up straight afterwards, Maud?

Either way - thanks v. much, I needed that this evening.

OP posts:
LadyDamerel · 05/09/2011 21:33

ROFL @ Massive's ad and follow up.

I imagine it would take a LOT of takes for him to get the inflection just right too.

SupermassiveLBD · 05/09/2011 21:40

I envision them as little individual ones, with maybe some fruit or something in addition to the normal jam and custard.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 05/09/2011 21:41

They were for Telephone, which has several shots of Lucas in dens of iniquity with scantily-dressed ::ahem:: ladies.

::shocked at the mere mention of Rude Boy, to which she would never post a link emoticon::

SupermassiveLBD · 05/09/2011 21:43

Eat your heart out, Mr Kipling.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 05/09/2011 21:47

Yes, eat your heart out, Mr Kipling.

LadyDamerel · 05/09/2011 21:48

They sound yummy, Massive. Perhaps a peach along with the jam and custard?

::heroically resists posting illustrations::

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 05/09/2011 21:50

Are you watching the prog about the Regency, LadyD?
