It's on at 9, Massive. Me & DD had dinner at my parents and mum has despatched a chicken leg home with me, so I've knocked up a salad & he can sort out chips or a jacket. DD up to bed in 5 minutes.

I've run out of tonic but I suspect Polish on the rocks may be in order tonight anyway.

Is anyone else going to watch the whole thing? I'm not sure yet.

PassTheTwiglets · 21/08/2011 20:34

Good luck, ladies who are watching. I'm not watching anymore Spiro, no. I watched half of the first episode and didn't want to know any more. Not for me at all. I'm glad we don't have Sky now :)

Maybe Wine is in order...

OP posts:
PassTheTwiglets · 21/08/2011 21:22

Will you be able to watch it at some point, Massive?

DumSpiroSpero · 21/08/2011 21:27

Oh dear...I think it can safely be said I'm having a very adolescent 10 minutes...Sad

SupermassiveLBD · 21/08/2011 21:29

Can't see it coming here, Twigs. Maybe as well Sad
Oh Spiro, have a Wine And remember, he is SND.

Here you are ::flops on chaise longoo::

I've missed you all although not as much as all the RA related clips you post. No more trips away for the rest of the holidays so my addiction can ramp back up to it's previous obsessive levels Grin.

DH is watching SB2. It's shite.

PassTheTwiglets · 21/08/2011 21:34

It didn't even bother me, tbh - it was just so stupid and awful that I felt totally disconnected from it.

PassTheTwiglets · 21/08/2011 21:35

LadyD!! Yay, welcome back, we missed you! How are you doing?

It really is, isn't it? I was alternately rolling my eyes and feeling nauseous when I saw it the other week.

LadyDamerel · 21/08/2011 21:39

I'm good, ta. Just had a very lovely few days sans MiniDs - 2 nights in a lovely B&B courtesy of the PILs for our wedding anniversary then a couple of days with old uni (childless) friends pretending we were all 19 again and could still drink like we used to.

We very quickly discovered we couldn't Grin.

DumSpiroSpero · 21/08/2011 21:40

I am already on the PC, thanks Massive. I'm actually slightly wondering if he is SND (triumph of hope over expectation).

Didn't think it was going to have much effect on me right up until the moment it happened, and then when I came on here and saw yours and Twigs posts it set me off again. Sad

It's not even the fact that he's not going to be in it any more - the whole programme is completely different and frankly it sucks. Every single character from the first series has gone with no explanation, John's working on a new mission when he's taken hostage with no explanation as to how he got home and off the hook with the Americans since the end of S1. No follow up on how they break the news to and what becomes of his daughter who's been orphaned in the space of weeks at the age of 17, and as for the amount of gratuitous sex in it (and you all know I'm no prude)...

..the whole thing is complete and utter bollocks. Angry

I should think if RA has seen any more than his bits he's probably absolutely bloody delighted to be out of it.

SupermassiveLBD · 21/08/2011 21:40

LadyD! Hello! Great to see you again.

What a shame about SB. Why do they always have to ruin a good thing? Seems JP is well out of it. He faked his death, of course.

LadyDamerel · 21/08/2011 21:40

RA had a very lucky escape with the Hobbit stopping him from filming any more of this series, imo.

DumSpiroSpero · 21/08/2011 21:41

Hi Lady D - glad you've been having a fab time.

Twigs - there have been real tears here I'm afraid Blush.

LadyDamerel · 21/08/2011 21:42

X-posts with you all over the lucky escape!

LadyDamerel · 21/08/2011 21:44

Are we partaaaying tomorrow night, btw?

SupermassiveLBD · 21/08/2011 21:44

X posted with you, Spiro. That's the good thing about fiction, no one can say their version is truer than yours Wink

DumSpiroSpero · 21/08/2011 21:44

Yes indeedy! - big 4-0 celebrations a go go!

Wonder if Maud's back yet?

SupermassiveLBD · 21/08/2011 21:46

I still snivel over Gizzy's demise every time I watch it, mind you.

OP posts:
DumSpiroSpero · 21/08/2011 21:50

Glad it's not just me, Massive.

PassTheTwiglets · 21/08/2011 21:52

Aw, Spiro :( It's harder for you 'cos he was your chaRActer. I was only sad from the lack of appeaRAnce.

Glad you had a fun time, LadyD. Child-free time is wonderful, isn't it? :)

Definitely partying tomorrow! Better get off laptop now as feel a bit anti-social, as will be partying tomorrow. Have a good night all and see you tomorrow. Extra big hugs for Spiro and Small if she needs it later.

SupermassiveLBD · 21/08/2011 21:54

Oc course it's just a tribute to the Man's skills as an ack-tor, is it not, that he triggers the emotional reaction. Nothing to do with us being a pair of flakes Smile

LadyDamerel · 21/08/2011 21:54

I haven't got to Gizzy popping his clogs yet - only up to S1 E8 so far (oh and the occasional peep at S2 E3 Blush Not sure why that one shouts at me from the DVD case) but that may involve snot and tears. I do love Gizzy.

DumSpiroSpero · 21/08/2011 21:55

Night Twigs - see you tomorrow!

Looks like Small is in for the long haul.

Some positive feedback on Twitter - mostly from men...quelle surprise...
