And maybe a jumper as it gets chilly in the cinema.

TheSmallPrint · 30/07/2011 14:34

Just about to watch the close your eyes scene..

LadyDamerel · 30/07/2011 14:36

I was only thinking earlier about what to wear on Thursday! I have some gawjus wedges I want to wear but I know full well that I will be crippled after a couple of hours so I may well stick to my trusty but-not-very-glam-or-stylish-Birkenstocks.

Have fun with RL, Massive.

When does LadyV's race start?

Envy.

I'd much rather be watching that than the flipping Grand Prix qualifying.

Quick style advice from an ex wannabe fashionista ; posh f*ckme shoes on feet, comfy ballet flats in bag.
Alternate at will.

Fingers crossed for Lady V here too.

TheSmallPrint · 30/07/2011 15:48

I think Lady V's race was this morning, I'm sure it was on TV?

I have some White wedges but there's no way I'm getting on the tube with those, they'll be black in 20mins. Seriously I'm starting to feel like I'm going on a date with you lot! Grin

::covers kitchen in dust sheets::

::dons full body protection suit::

The MiniDs are holding me to a promise to bake with them.

If I don't reappear in an hour we may have an emergency situation.

ROFL at image of Massive in LBD & FM shoes, speeding through the waves with Heinz in his sub! Grin

The wedges I'm wearing are slightly lower than they look as the insole dips so it it cradles your foot, but still about an inch higher than the ones I usually wear. I'm working on the theory that we'll be sitting down most of the time but will be bringing plenty of plasters just in case. I'm more concerned about getting up and down steps in the Tube. I've worn them at home & up and down the stairs and they seem fine but I've had a slight fear of steps since I was pregnant with DD and had to park in a multi storey with a dodgy lift for work every day. As soon as I get to a flight of 'strange' steps or stairs I automatically picture myself tumbling down them Confused.

I am soooo looking forward to the next few days - apart from visiting friends on Monday I am planning on doing precisely bugger all until Thursday Grin.

DumSpiroSpero · 30/07/2011 16:03

Best of luck Lady D! I have emergency help on standby if you need it.

PassTheTwiglets · 30/07/2011 17:41

LadyV's race was at 2.30.

LOL at emergeny picture of LadyD's kitchen!

Seriously I'm starting to feel like I'm going on a date with you lot!

Hey there, pretty lady - how you doin'?

DumSpiroSpero · 30/07/2011 19:13

Yep - white trews, posh (?!) top and gold wedges. Grin

I saw a lovely dress in Debenhams sale yesterday which I would have bought and possibly worn but they didn't have it in my size - even on t'internet.

PassTheTwiglets · 30/07/2011 19:25

Have I scared Small off? :)

PassTheTwiglets · 30/07/2011 21:07

Or have I scared everyone off?!

I have a Funny Thing for you. I was at the optician's today and doing that thing where you lean your chin on a machine and the optician gets very close, to look into your eyes. Them being so close to your face always makes me feel a bit uncomfortable anyway. Then, to get me to look in a certain direction he said "can you look at my left ear?" I did but then got a terrible case of the giggles which I had to try and cover up, because.... he had Twiglets!! :o

SupermassiveLBD · 30/07/2011 21:31

Grin at optician twiglets

DumSpiroSpero · 30/07/2011 21:47

Twigs = thank goodness he didn't ask you to close your eyes!

DumSpiroSpero · 30/07/2011 21:51

And in the course of finding that last pic - I also found these.

I couldn't pick just one Grin!

PassTheTwiglets · 30/07/2011 21:54

Oh Spiro, LOL, can you imagine?!

DumSpiroSpero · 30/07/2011 22:06

Grin!

Have you finished your game with Dr Twigs then?

Mr S is having a cards night so I am having a very lazy evening. DD and I had a 'takeaway' Indian meal for 2 from Waitrose, got her to bed, bath and now sofa-bound catching up on 'The Hour' and 'The Impressionists' Smile

I wonder if Maud has gone on her hols now?

PassTheTwiglets · 30/07/2011 22:17

Yes - I won :)

I was wondering if Maud was away, too...

Sounds like a nice evening for you, Spiro. We had an M&S meal deal and we started to watch In Bruges, on the recommendation MN, but hated it so we have now put our old fave, Moulin Rouge, on. I couldn't get on with The Hour. Wanted to watch it but was playing on the laptop and got distracted and now seems to late to follow it.

DumSpiroSpero · 30/07/2011 22:22

Mr S is a huge fan of 'In Bruges' - I lasted about 20 minutes watching it.

PassTheTwiglets · 30/07/2011 22:34

We wanted to watch something funny and there was a thread about the funniest film you've ever seen - lots of people said In Bruges, but we didn't find small boys getting shot in the head very amusing Hmm

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 30/07/2011 22:36

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water .....

DumSpiroSpero · 30/07/2011 22:38

Me neither Twigs - I've no problem with gore when it's relevant and justified but gratuitous violence I just can't watch.

Hi Maud - we thought you might have deserted us for sunnier climes by now!

PassTheTwiglets · 30/07/2011 22:40

Safe to go back in the water, you say?
