Ladies, I am getting a bit concerned about the filn for Thursday. Can anybody remember where I said it was showing? LadyV said Leicester Square would be good but I now can't find it on there. Vue has the 3D version only and none of the other have it at all, as far as I can see. What cinemas are in Leics. Sq., does anybody know? Empire, Odeon and Vue - any more?

I will try and catch LadyV on Twitter tomorrow...

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 01/08/2011 22:29

Another glimpse of that lovely, manly hand. And have you never noticed the fine forearm in the facepalm pic? That, and the thumb? Why do you think I post it so often?

Thank you for the card, LadyDamerel, although I can assure you I've never had the slightest difficulty hanging onto my man as you discovered to your cost last night.

DumSpiroSpero · 01/08/2011 22:29

You just read my mind Twigs Grin

I was going to say that I'd have told them to bugger off, but the circs were a bit weird? Confused Let's just hope they don't tell their mates - perhaps you'd better pick the rest quickly and turn them into crumbles.

DumSpiroSpero · 01/08/2011 22:31

The Empire was mentioned, Twigs.

LadyDamerel · 01/08/2011 22:32

The facepalm and the sleeping on his desk are both excellent examples, Maud.

It is such a shame to have long sleeves covering them up.

Twiggy - Use your IT skills to make a sign saying that your plum tree is being used to test a new pesticide which not only kills plum moth (there is such a thing) but causes severe symptoms in humans. You can add your own list of examples - I'd include vomiting, diarrhoea and impotence.

PassTheTwiglets · 01/08/2011 22:35

Yes, I thought I said the Empire too Spiro, but it's not showing up as being on there. Perhaps we'll have to forget Leicester Square...

PassTheTwiglets · 01/08/2011 22:42

As far as I can see, it's not in 2D anywhere in central London :( The 3D version is supposed to be very blurry too and 'they' are recommending seeing it in 2D...

PassTheTwiglets · 01/08/2011 22:44

Have to retire now. Night all!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 01/08/2011 22:48

Nighty knight, Twiggy!

LadyDamerel · 01/08/2011 22:54

Oh no. We need a Plan.

Who knows London and which cinemas would be easy to get to?

OP posts:
DumSpiroSpero · 01/08/2011 22:57

Lady D - have just PM'd Twigs - It's on in 2D at Marble Arch Odeon at 3.10pm which is 5 stops (2 lines) from Covent Garden.

LadyDamerel · 01/08/2011 23:10

Bearing in mind I know nothing about the geography of London, this is what I have found

Cineworld O2 Greenwich has it in 2D
Cineworld Hammersmith, ditto

Odeon is showing it at Marble Arch & Kensington but only in 3D it would appear, even though I searched for 2d Hmm.

Vue at Finchley Road (o2) 3:45 showing or Fulham Broadway 2:30 or 5:15 showing or Islington 3:15 or Shepherds Bush 1:00 or 3:55

Where else is on your itinerary? (PM me if you don't want to broadcast it to all the truckers). Most of the venues LadyDamerel mentions are rather remote from your other destinations, I suspect.

LadyDamerel · 01/08/2011 23:15

See, I checked there as I do actually know where Marble Arch is and on the initial screen it implied it was only in 3D but when you go further in it says 2D Confused.

::wishes she'd checked properly first instead of panicking::

Are we going to book or just chance it? It seems fairly empty at the moment.

Lunch in Covent Garden is all I know, Maud. But hopefully Spiro has sorted it......

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 01/08/2011 23:18

I'll be with you in spirit and tuning in to police radios to keep track of your antics.

DumSpiroSpero · 01/08/2011 23:20

Twigs has booked the restaurant at CG for 12.30pm I think.

Personally I'm happy to just rock up to the cinema on the day. With so many places showing it and 3D being available I can't see we'll have any problem getting in.

DumSpiroSpero · 01/08/2011 23:21

Are you off on your hols then Maud, or just still not convinced about meeting your fellow nutters Academicians?

LadyDamerel · 01/08/2011 23:23

We'll be doing a thorough search before we sit down, .

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 01/08/2011 23:28

My spies will have staked the place out, LadyDamerel.

LadyDamerel · 01/08/2011 23:29

The holiday is a cunning ploy, Spiro.

She has to live in London whereas we are all going to leave and she will forever be tarred with the chaos and disgrace we have spread in our wake.

::Eyes. Maud, Eyes:: I'm on to you.

That's the pointing to your eyes with your first 2 fingers, pointing at the other person then pointing at your eyes again. It doesn't come across well in the written form.

OP posts:
LadyDamerel · 01/08/2011 23:31

Now Maud.

::stern::

You know that if certain members of the group were to spy that visage peeping from behind a flowerpot there would be most undignified behaviour that would most likely result in arrests and injunctions.

LadyDamerel · 01/08/2011 23:35

My laptop battery has only seconds left before it gives up so I'm away to my bed. At least I can sleep knowing the cinema issue is sorted!

Night all.

::looks back at you::

Fabulous close up of the Forearms there again, Maud. Lovely.
