I am brain-dead tonight so this is rubbish - just a place-holder. Please do something else if you can think of a decent one!

Yes, I understand.

Simultaneous translation: immediacy = strutting around in leather trousers and wielding a broadsword

SupermassiveLBD · 08/07/2011 22:13

not to mention the smirking and smouldering

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 08/07/2011 22:18

Where do you think everyone else is?

Facedown in a ditch, having passed out last night, presumably

SupermassiveLBD · 08/07/2011 22:20

I thought I saw Twigs earlier, with Lucas, halfway down a gin bottle.

PassTheTwiglets · 08/07/2011 22:55

I am reading but PC keyboard broken and cant stand 1 finger typing here on phone. Had unexpected Lucas time which was bliss. Now in bed with Jasper... the book, that is, the book!! I Spiro was out tonight, dunno about Smally. Prob having her wicked way with Sgt.Twiglets...

SupermassiveLBD · 08/07/2011 22:58

Poor Twigs, what are you going to do -- about the keyboard, that is, I know what you are going to do with Jasper

DumSpiroSpero · 08/07/2011 23:06

Well that was quite an evening. Out for mum's birthday meal, followed by trip to out of hours doc & chemist with DD. Another rockin' Friday night chez Spiro!

PassTheTwiglets · 08/07/2011 23:07

Drtwigs just fixed it, yay! No idea what you mean about jasper but let me just put down this basket of kittens and see what he has planned...

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 08/07/2011 23:09

Good news Twigs!
Spiro, hope your DD is okay Sad

DumSpiroSpero · 08/07/2011 23:15

Cystitis apparently (didn't know kids could get it Confused). Tummy ache & was going to the loo every 10 minutes while we were out. Has got antibiotics & got us out of swimming lessons this week! She'll be fine Grin.

PassTheTwiglets · 08/07/2011 23:16

Oh dear spiro, whats wrong? hope nothing too bad.

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 08/07/2011 23:21

Oh poor little sausage Sad. Nasty thing to have.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 08/07/2011 23:25

Oooh, poor MissSpiro. Isn't rinsing with warm water with bicarb of soda supposed to be soothing for that?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 08/07/2011 23:29

I hope the out of hours doctor was kind and attentive, Spiro.

SupermassiveLBD · 08/07/2011 23:30

The antibiotics should kick in, though. Hope she feels better tomorrow Sad

Time for me to say goodnight, now, ladies, Sweet dReAms, all

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 08/07/2011 23:40

Oh yes, but until then I read somewhere that the bicarb was good for the stinging, poor little love.

Good nighty bitey night, Massive.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 09/07/2011 00:07

::Pulls curtains and throws out Uzi the Academy cat::

Good night one and all!

LadyDamerel · 09/07/2011 01:43

::peeks through chink in curtains::

Oh.

You've all gone. Best go to bed and let the gazillion glasses of fizz neutralise themselves in my system then.

PassTheTwiglets · 09/07/2011 06:46
5.30am never gets any easier... at least it's light outside at the moment, not sure I can do this for another winter!!

Sipro, how is MissS this morning? Poor little mite, I didn't know children could get that either!

I had a lovely evening. I was sulking about school summer fete (last thing I wanted to do) so DrTwigs took MissTwigs - still not sure how I got away with that - and I put the boy to bed and thought I'd have a bit of Spookage for the 20 mins or so I had left before they got home. (I'd been craving 9.1 Lucas since the recent reposting of that "are you ok baby?" photo). So I got about halfwaythrough, expecting them home any minute, when DrTwigs texted to say they'd be at least another hour - SCORE! :) I must have rewound the "are you ok?" scene about 10 times - it's nice enough in the photo but with hearing the Russian as well.... And there was a LOL bit that I'd forgotten. At the end of a meeting, the Home Secretary says to Harry "well I'd better go, I'm sure I'm due at Mumsnet or somewhere..." :o

Off to find some matchsticks to prop my eyes open with... with which to prop open my eyes...

Morning Twigs, lucky old you getting a night to watch Luscious Lucas with a bottle of gin. I was taken unexpectedly out to dinner last night so apologies for my absence.

Spiro hope DD feels better soon, bladder infections are not pleasant as I am sure we would all agree!

PassTheTwiglets · 09/07/2011 07:48

Oooh how lovely, Small! Hope you had a good evening.

I'm not particularly shocked or angry or confused about your above post, Small, but I jsut wanted an excuse to try out the new Harry Potter smileys. [hgrin] [hangry] [hconfused] [hhmm]

Hee hee, they're cute. Do you think we could get Mumsnet to give us MrThornton smilies with cravats on, or JP ones with little rifles? or Lucas ones with kitchen tables

DumSpiroSpero · 09/07/2011 08:15

Morning all - I'll leave off the 'good'. Miss S was up at 5.30 and more moany than last night. She doesn't like Calpol, doesn't like ab's do even with the aid of chocolate that's been fun...and BIL is round shortly to help Mr S demolish conservatory. MIL is also coming to stick her oar in keep them in tea and biscuits, so me & DD are effectively homeless for the day - grrr Angry

PassTheTwiglets · 09/07/2011 09:31

Can you go round to your mum's, Spiro? Have you tried MissS with Ibuprofen instead or is she wary of all medicines? Just that TwigBoy was going very funny about Ibuprofen so I gave him Calpol instead (which is a different colour) and told him it was a new medicine and he was happy to have that instead. But then a 3yo is a lot easier to fool than a child of MissSpiro's age!

LadyDamerel · 09/07/2011 09:52

Oh poor Spiro and Twigs with their early starts. MasterDamerel2 is an inveterate pre 6am-er too. Like Twigs says, not too bad in the summer but the winters...ergh.

Hope you can get some meds down DD Spiro and she perks up, ppor mite and you find somewhere to go today - if you fancy a train ride you're more than welcome at the Priory Grin.

I had a lovely night last night too, no viewing of the VC but my friend's 40th birthday meal at a vair vair posh restaurant. Twas very lovely to get togged out in my finery and get very drunk eat scrumptious food.

PassTheTwiglets · 09/07/2011 09:59

Oh yikes, so you had a late one followed by an early one then, LadyD - ouch! Glad you had a good time though, sounds lovely! Oh to hve someewhere to get dressed up... not that I can fit into any nice clothes anyway :(

if you fancy a train ride you're more than welcome at the Priory

Can we see the barn if we come? :)
