I am brain-dead tonight so this is rubbish - just a place-holder. Please do something else if you can think of a decent one!

I can offer a guard dog (in either yellow or black) or LordD for your protection, Twigs. Both are happy when fed and watered adequately, it's up to you.

TheSmallPrint · 18/07/2011 12:08

Yes Twigs, its based on the Early YEars thing that carries through until Reception. You're right though he has another year before real school starts. Was Miss Twigs report not good? Sad I have commented back on Smallboy Majors can you do the same if you're not happy?

Yes the link was Just Eat, I may have been overstating the case about you 'recommending' it, can't see it now.

I do understand your mixed emotions about free evenings and the inevitable axe weilding nutter, I am the same. Perhaps take Lady D up on her offer of a soppy lab vicious guard dog?

DumSpiroSpero · 18/07/2011 12:09

I will have to have a look at that page on Facebook later, but I always think of us as The Academy although we have several Institute's within the academy.

TheSmallPrint · 18/07/2011 12:14

I've just realised that this thread is almost full Shock.

Perhaps we should open a new building in honour of the Thorin reveal? Perhaps The Inclusive Academy of Sword Fighting Skills for the Vertically Challenged - Includes Master Classes in Beard Plaiting? Grin

LadyDamerel · 18/07/2011 12:23

How can we have filled an entire thread in just over a week? There's only half a dozen of us Shock.

Thorin thread sounds topical, I have an idea for a Sylvester themed building but that can wait til next week!

Am slightly offended about the aspersions you are casting on my guard dogs. They are wild slavering beasts especially if someone if offering them a biscuit I'll have you know. They would never lie on their backs for a tummy rub if a stranger entered the premises either

PassTheTwiglets · 18/07/2011 12:44

Thanks, LadyD, but I'm more scared of dogs than I am of axe-wielding murderers. But if you're loaning out dear Jasper then I'll certainly take you up on that :) Actually, I'm a lot better at staying Home Alone since we got the rabbit. Not that she is any form of defence, of course, just that now, whenever I hear any strange noises downstairs, I think "oh, it's probably just the rabbit".

MissTwigs' report was ok, really, I shouldn't be negative. It's just that her previous reports were always glowing and this one wasn't. I am going to make a few comments on it, yes.

SupermassiveLBD · 18/07/2011 13:30

LOL @ you lot, the slavering dogs and the axewielding murderers, etc.. Mr M was more or less permanently away when the SBs were tiny so I am quite used to keeping a baseball bat by the front door spendng nights alone with admirable equnimity. How about if I send Gizzy round with his big sword to act as a deterrant, Twiggy? I am sure you can find other uses for him too. Like dealing with Much when he creeps in and tries to steal your rabbit for the PLFW's dinner.

He has other talents too but I don't want to advertise those too widely. Wink

LadyD, we quite often fill a thread in an obscenely short time, we are nothing if not obsessive studious here.

I second the Thorin thread, it was truly meant to be. I shall look for you all there perhaps, as we are expecting another Invasion and have to log off now. I may be some time... Sad

LadyDamerel · 18/07/2011 13:36

Twigs, I think you'd probably sue me under the trade descriptions act if I sent you LordD and you were expecting dear Jasper Grin. GH didn't exactly base him on DH. The expression 'polar opposites' may give you a clue....

Although you are more than welcome to him if that hasn't put you off. I'm cross with him at the moment so he might welcome a slightly less nowty female to keep company for a few days.

PassTheTwiglets · 18/07/2011 14:05

Ooooh, yes please to Gizzy coming round :) I'm sure I could keep him occupied for a week. How noble of you to offer to untie share him with me. Oh but I wouldn't mind if the PLFW ate the rabbit for dinner - bloomin' thing drives me nuts and is costing me £70 just for us to go away for 4 days! Good luck with the Invasion, Massive.

Nowty, LadyD? Are we making our own words up now? :)

Back to cake-making. I am doing one as a thank you present for the DC's teachers. It's one of those 'it seemed like a good idea at the time' things...

OP posts:
LadyDamerel · 18/07/2011 14:13

Is that a Northernism then or can I just not spell any more? It means stroppy oop 'ere.

Ooh there's a CA advert on, sadly no Heinz though, just some tie in plastic tat. Boo.

Cake baking. Hmm, I'm not thinking about it. I refuse to. I need to do 2 for the end of the week and I officially CBA.

TheSmallPrint · 18/07/2011 14:13

So what are we going to do for the next Thread then?

TheSmallPrint · 18/07/2011 14:14

Twigs now you've made me think we need to do something for the nursery teachers. I hadn't even thought of that Blush

LadyDamerel · 18/07/2011 14:20

I'm happy with what you suggested earlier, Small.

PassTheTwiglets · 18/07/2011 15:42

Small, you have never done a thread before, have you? Why don't you have a turn?

I only thought of something for the nursery teachers because they are so utterly lovely (in stark contrast to the rest).

Never heard of dowty in any spelling, LadyD. Is the 'dowt' bit pronounced like 'doubt'?

Off to get the rabbit stabbed - just with an immunisation needle, sadly :o

DumSpiroSpero · 18/07/2011 15:45

I'm thirding the Thorin thread title - I think he's about the only character we haven't had yet!

I love having the house to myself and wish on far too regular a basis that I had a DH who has to go away on business. I just love being able to do my own thing and not worry about/answer to anybody else.

Anyway, the purpose of this flying visit was to post this, particularly for Massive Wink!

DumSpiroSpero · 18/07/2011 15:47

I thought in the stroppy context it was spelt 'noughty' but that doesn't seem right now I've typed it Confused.

DumSpiroSpero · 18/07/2011 15:48

Here you go - Lady D you were absolutely right in the first place Grin!

DumSpiroSpero · 18/07/2011 15:52

Also just found this on Urban Dictionary - PMSL Grin!

Richard
Tall, almost towering, large features, arms, legs. Beautiful heart. Kind, usually reserved about sharing his feelings. Although he is able to communicate well, he feels much more deeply than he speaks. Only those that are close to him will ever really know him. Will see 'it' through even if he is unhappy, his commitment unwavering. Will make many mistakes believing he has made a 'wise' choice. Realizes logic does not bring happiness. Falls in love only once, usually shocking (completely different upbringings) to him. When he does find her, he is relentless in his pursuit. However, it is not calculating, unconsciously he maneuvers his actions to allow himself to be with her. A strong, powerful force, a positive energy, other men are always questioning, "what's so great about Richard?". Spiritual leader. Excellent lover, very good with his entire body, making women fantasize about him regularly. A very thick, yummy kisser. Richard is a kind, good, lovely, beautiful, sweet, aggressive, sensitive man with a consecrated heart. Richard is super sexxy!

TheSmallPrint · 18/07/2011 16:02

hahahahahhaha who wrote that?

New home here when you have tidied up in here and removed the cat and the soft furnishings.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 18/07/2011 16:16

Am very happy with the Thorin thread idea. I am a very proficient plaiter, you know.

::Regards Girl's hair proudly::

TheSmallPrint · 18/07/2011 16:46

Right well if we're all finished here for the night then I'll start packing.
