I am brain-dead tonight so this is rubbish - just a place-holder. Please do something else if you can think of a decent one!

ROFL @ Maud's flowchart Grin.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 17/07/2011 23:11

Yes, they look fabulous.

::Buys more shares in Amazon::

LadyDamerel · 17/07/2011 23:13

Does anyone else spend more a month on books than they do on clothes, etc? I swear my biggest expenditure after bills, food and petrol is books.

PassTheTwiglets · 17/07/2011 23:14

ROFLMBO, Maud!!! :o

By Jove, I think she's got it...

All together now

Twigs..is not... a horse

DumSpiroSpero · 17/07/2011 23:16

I am also ROFLing all the way to dreamland now as Mr S is up and is one of those annoying pitch-black, dead silent sleepers -grrr!

Sweet dreams one and all!

SupermassiveLBD · 17/07/2011 23:18

Ouch, I forgot the smilie on the end of course.
Here it is Grin

SupermassiveLBD · 17/07/2011 23:19

Nighty night Spiro, must be making tracks myself.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 17/07/2011 23:22

OK, I'm a bit bored by The Drover now.

::heresy::

LadyDamerel - I limit my expenditure on books by buying heaps at school fetes etc for 10p each.

PassTheTwiglets · 17/07/2011 23:23

ROFL at you too, Massive!!! :o Oh, you ladies are a treat for weary souls

Have to go now, battery dying and I fear I may follow suit.

A domain!

OP posts:
PassTheTwiglets · 17/07/2011 23:25

LOLing simultaneously at Massive's original comment and also at the fact that nobody except us would understand that - I do love our little secret codes, as t'were...

Right, really going now - night night.

OP posts:
LadyDamerel · 17/07/2011 23:26

Aah, yes that's very sensible, Maud! We don't really have much of that sort of thing round these parrrts and the 2 closest Oxfam bookshops are a good 25 minute drive away ::back end of nowhere emoticon:: so I tend to rely on good old Amazon dropping them through my letterbox.

Must go to bed too.

Night all Smile.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 17/07/2011 23:28

I'm off to bed too. I want my duvet more than I want The Drover. ::Hopes Small doesn't see this::

Night all!

PassTheTwiglets · 18/07/2011 07:05

LadyD, I get books from eBay - I got the Heyers recently for about £1.50 inc. postage.

OP posts:
TheSmallPrint · 18/07/2011 07:19

I saw Maud! It does go on a bit to be fair, I only watch for HJ really Grin

PassTheTwiglets · 18/07/2011 07:36

There is an Institute of Armitage Studies on Facebook

OP posts:
TheSmallPrint · 18/07/2011 09:39

Link?

TheSmallPrint · 18/07/2011 09:39

I just picked up Smallboy Minors report, it is so sweet! Smile

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 18/07/2011 10:01

So there is, Twiggy - just put the title in the search bar, Small - but it seems not to have the impressive track record of peer-reviewed research that we have here.

TheSmallPrint · 18/07/2011 10:08

Found it. it seems no-one is on it and nothing has been posted though? Confused, wasn't that one of our thread titles?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 18/07/2011 10:15

I think it was, back in the earliest days. It's not exactly stunningly original, so I'm guessing it's a coincidence that someone else has thought of it too, but I'm more intrigued that Facebook also offered me a link back to one of the fan blogs, so I wonder whether it's anything to do with her.

TheSmallPrint · 18/07/2011 10:19

I think you'll find we have the intellectual copyright on that Maud Wink, I'll go back and look again...

TheSmallPrint · 18/07/2011 10:21

No I don't get a link to a blogger only to Twigs recommending an ordering take away thing Grin

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 18/07/2011 10:33

I was offered this as a web result for the search - fan blog. So, as it didn't loop back to MN maybe we've never called ourselves an institute and have always been an academy? Dunno.

PassTheTwiglets · 18/07/2011 11:18

Smallboy got a report? He's not starting Reception in September, is he? He's net year, along with my DS, isn't he? Mine didn't get a report but will next year, apparently. Just as well, not sure I could take another report like MissTwigs'.... :)

I've never recommended a takeaway, how peculiar! If it was Just-Eat, I follow them on Facebook to get the free codes but how cheeky that they are saying I recommended them! Yes, there was nothing on the Institute page at all, as far as I could see.

So I am single parenting for a week as DrTwigs has gone orf to Switzerland. Or possibly Sweden. I'm fairly sure it's not Swaziland. I am actually really looking fwd to my evenings once the kids are in bed - apart from the inevitable axe-wielding murderers that are obviously hiding in the cupboards whenever I hear a creak or a strange noise.
