I am brain-dead tonight so this is rubbish - just a place-holder. Please do something else if you can think of a decent one!

Blimey Massive, did you know that off by heart Wink

Twigs have you seen this section?

SupermassiveLBD · 11/07/2011 14:16

Small, as always I rely on the good old Library of Google.

DumSpiroSpero · 11/07/2011 14:30

We used to go to Wareham in Dorset, Twigs. Haven't been there myself for years but dd's godfather went last year & loved it.

PassTheTwiglets · 11/07/2011 14:42

Spiro, that was a definite contender but I can't find anywhere there at all only one place which sleeps 3. We could possibly bring a put-you-up bed with us but then £600 when you don't all have a proper bed seems a bit steep!

Ouch! Times have changed since we paid £55 a week for a 3 bedroom static caravan. I can recommend a campsite if that's an option?!

I have just had some brilliant news. Not only is she going to be in the same class as her best friend next year, they are having the same teacher who is fantastic and who DD has really 'gelled' with.

So pleased I nearly wept when she told me as would have had 6 weeks of stressed & stroppy DD for the hols otherwise.Grin

PassTheTwiglets · 11/07/2011 16:51

So pleased for you & DD, what great news!!

Campsite is NOT an option but thanks anyway :) Do know what one palce were charging for a caravan for a week in Wales? £1032!!!! For a CARAVAN.

DumSpiroSpero · 11/07/2011 17:06

I suspected camping wouldn't be an option Grin.

Sadly I'm not surprised about the caravan in Wales. I looked at a Hoseasons site and it was over £400 for 5 days in the summer hols staying in our own tent! I know you've got all the facilities and entertainment but Shock

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 11/07/2011 17:48

Not go camping, Twiggy? Tsk, tsk. One can have so much fun in a tent.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 11/07/2011 17:55

Indeed one can.

SupermassiveLBD · 11/07/2011 18:05

Fun in a tent, with Gizzy? Be still my beating heart.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 11/07/2011 18:06

Ha! Knew that would smoke you out, Massive.

DumSpiroSpero · 11/07/2011 18:07

I was thinking much the same thing re JP, Maud Grin!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 11/07/2011 18:12

I aim to please, Spiro, I aim to please.

I love camping. Mr Thornton and I enjoyed our last sojourn under canvas very much.

SupermassiveLBD · 11/07/2011 18:17

Ah, look at Mr Thorton, he's nothing if not resourceful, putting his cravat on his head. like that He's following the age-old tradition of the British male en vacances but not having a hankie with him to knot, he improvised.

DumSpiroSpero · 11/07/2011 18:20

Although that's not JP, it's RA Blush...

SupermassiveLBD · 11/07/2011 18:23

Although that's not JP, it's RA

Wink...

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 11/07/2011 18:26

Are you disrespecting my fiance's summer headwear, Massive? He is, as always, the very picture of elegance.

::Flails reticule::

I had to cheat, Spiro, that's one of the behind the scenes shots of Mr Armitage dressed up as John Porter. Not being conversant with the Strike Back oeuvre and being rather lazy I didn't know where to look for a picture of John Porter under canvas.

DumSpiroSpero · 11/07/2011 18:33

That would be series 1, episode 1 Maud Grin!

DumSpiroSpero · 11/07/2011 18:36

Mr Armitage dressed up as anything (or not) works for me Maud Wink!

SupermassiveLBD · 11/07/2011 18:37
Wink
ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 11/07/2011 18:38

Time to douse Spiro with the bromide again, I think, ladies.

DumSpiroSpero · 11/07/2011 18:43

You may have a point there Maud!

SupermassiveLBD · 11/07/2011 18:46

I think I need some too

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 11/07/2011 18:49
