I am brain-dead tonight so this is rubbish - just a place-holder. Please do something else if you can think of a decent one!

May I introduce a new Academy snack, btw? Crinkle-cut crisps?

TheSmallPrint · 09/07/2011 19:48

Grin Grin @ Twigs!

PassTheTwiglets · 09/07/2011 19:58

I would choose you really, Massive but that would spoil my lovely joke :)

LOL at crinkle-cut crisps!

Goodness, I think I have half of the Atlantic wildlife in me. We got some takeaway seafood platters from a famous place nearby and I am stuffed to the hilt. TwigBoy trying to open crab claws with nutcrackers was priceless :)

stuffed to the hilt
That sounds rather painful Twigs. Do we need to have words with the Bitey Knight? Wink

Which reminds me, what is Maud up to, tonite?

PassTheTwiglets · 09/07/2011 20:19

Oh yes please, Massive! :)

OP posts:
TheSmallPrint · 09/07/2011 20:23

Isn't Twig boy good, don't think the smallboys would go anyway near a crab for dinner. They do like fish but not shellfish really.

I like the crinkle cut crisps massive . Wine anyone?

SupermassiveLBD · 09/07/2011 20:38

Hm the Superboys look askance at anything too fish-shaped, too. Fish fingers are fine though.

DumSpiroSpero · 09/07/2011 21:14

Mr S is spending the evening with the outlaws, DD is fast asleep and I have laptop, single malt and Gizzy Grin!

TheSmallPrint · 09/07/2011 21:22

Envy @ Spiros free evening again.

PassTheTwiglets · 09/07/2011 21:29

Sounds good spiro! Apart from the single malt, yuk :)

Boy will try anything food-wise but Girl is fussier than Fussy McFussington of Fusstown.

OP posts:
TheSmallPrint · 09/07/2011 21:37

Oh Fussy McFussington, she's a friend of my children too.

DumSpiroSpero · 09/07/2011 21:54

I don't usually drink whisky unless I've got a cold and it's in hot toddy format, but Mr S has a very nice single malt and the occasional glass with a couple of ice cubes does rather hit the spot.

My DD has got more fussy about food since starting school. Weirdly she'll eat loads of things that other kids would turn up their noses at, but the things most children love (pasta, eggs, jelly for example), she won't touch with a ten foot pole.

SupermassiveLBD · 09/07/2011 22:15

So what is Gizzy up to, Spiro? Misbehaving himself, one hopes.
[hwink]

DumSpiroSpero · 09/07/2011 22:27

Not much really - am only on episode 3 of series 1. Did like the bit where he tells Marion she can't stay at the castle then offers to put in a word for her with the sheriff - definitely a hint of a soft spot there!

SupermassiveLBD · 09/07/2011 22:38

Oh swoon-tastic pic there, bless him. Poor Gizzy, so misguided. He'd have done far better to stick with us Academy ladies. rather than hang round the Stupid Girl.

I am sure we could show him a good time. [hgrin]

PassTheTwiglets · 09/07/2011 22:44

If anyone is reading the highwayman fanfic, there is another chapter up.

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 09/07/2011 22:51

I can just imagine Guy in the role. ''Hold on ladies, I've not actually said stand and deliver yet, you know!'' [hsmile]

DumSpiroSpero · 09/07/2011 23:01

Can you do a link Twigs - I didn't bookmark that one.

I'm reading another one at the moment - will post a link later if it's any good.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 09/07/2011 23:28

Evening all.

I have had a lovely day - played swoon tennis with my friend this afternoon and have just been to the thee-ay-ter.

Massive - I will miss the meet-up too as (all being well) I will be gambolling on a French beach. Hands across the ocean, and all that.

Anyone care for a Wine nightcap?

SupermassiveLBD · 09/07/2011 23:30

Wont say no to some Gizzy, fizzy or otherwise, Maud, if you have some. Did you have a nice time at the thee-ayter, perchance?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 09/07/2011 23:35

Oh yes, it was most diverting.

::Pours large glasses of Wine Chateau Nuits St Gizzy for Massive and herself::

SupermassiveLBD · 09/07/2011 23:51

Hmm, a bold and strong-bodied vintage, with a rather arrogant smirk of a finish.

I don't suppose the title of this little divertissement had a very familar name in the title, together with a number higher than two...

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 10/07/2011 00:03

Err, no. We were just feet away from that, though, at the last night of this uproarious spectacle.

And yet now is the winter of our discontent made glorious summer by this sun of Leicester.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 10/07/2011 00:06

A horse, a horse, my kingdom for a horse!
