Of course, I am violently allergic to cats...

The only picture we have of the Dean is not overly flattering but in my head he looks a little more like this

Come in, enjoy, help yourself to Twiglets.
Yours sincerely, a Fair Trespasser.

Maids don't last five minutes round me!

PasstheTwiglets · 18/05/2011 22:21

Oh Maud, Songbird is the one that makes me sob my heart out!!

Thank you for the confirmation on hear/here, btw.

Soldier Boy definitely has it going on, Small - no doubt about that!

Come on Gizzy, you oughtn't to keep a lady waiting, y'know...

MissTwigs is getting a bit annoying with RH. We were watching it together (Hood o'clock) and it was a nice little time together. But she's gone on ahead without me (she's about to finish S2 whilst I'm still only halfway through S2) and she keeps giving me huge spoilers! I had no idea about Guy in S3!

Anyway, I'm off to bed now - the incontinent rabbit has just really annoyed me and I am about to eat the kids' last remaining Kinder Egg*. I finally finished reading Conv. Marriage last night ('twas glorious) and I have just started reading Venetia, in honour of the Dean so I'm going to read a few more pages and hope he comes into it soon :) Btw, did I ever thank you for the title, Spiro? It's great.

Night, all!

I think we all know that I actually have* eaten it.

::Proffers another cologne-soaked hankie::

You are far too young to know these songs, Twiggy. I blame Sir Terry. Good night!

Dares not ask whether there really is an incontinent rabbit (how can rabbits be continent?) or whether this is some idiom favoured by modern yoof

Night Twigs. I hope he comes into, it too [Grin

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 18/05/2011 22:27

Whoops there goes the tone

TheSmallPrint · 18/05/2011 22:27

Twigs I'm still working my way through thr Easter eggs, I think the smallboys have forgotten about them so the path is clear to chocolate heaven. Night night, hope the incontinent rabbit is more controlled tomorrow Grin

SupermassiveLBD · 18/05/2011 22:29

Do we fancy the curtains ladiez? After the wear and tear the last lot have had we might want to thing about a new pair.

SupermassiveLBD · 18/05/2011 22:34

Do you know, there isn't a crumb of chocolate in the house at Casa Massive, and all this talk of Kinder Eggs is making me want some REELY REELY BADLY

PasstheTwiglets · 18/05/2011 22:41

:o @ Massive's 'I hope so too' type comment.

Maud, sadly it isn't an idiom. She's not literally incontinent but she may as well be - she's a house rabbit and she has a cage that she's free to cvome in and out of whenever she wants. Rabbits are supposed to always pee/poo in the same place but ours doesn't. The little wotsit pushes her litter tray out of the way and then wees in the corner, so it then spreads all over her cage and I have to wash the whole thing out and disinfect it several times a week. The stupid, delicious rabbit...

Nice curtains, Massive. Indeed, perhaps it's time for some new soft furnishings. I think we could also do with a new table, too

Really going now.

OP posts:
ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 18/05/2011 22:46

Are you really expecting us to believe that you chose that picture for its soft furnishings, Massive?

Nice wallpaper

Elegant lace curtains

Which colour is that on the Farrow & Ball paint chart?

::Sends you a Mars bar::

SupermassiveLBD · 18/05/2011 22:57

Nah I chose it for the fringe flop, Maudie. the drapes were just a... wait for it...

Fringe benefit.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 18/05/2011 23:03

You are too kind.

Another shade from the Farrow and Ball colour chart

And more from the Academy's home furnishings catalogue ...

Nice pitcher

KaraToytown · 18/05/2011 23:06

Evening

Just popping in to say that I never got to see the Soldier Boy. :(. I couldn't find a good way of explaining a sudden interest in SAS drama when my previous tv viewing was limited to Come Dine With Me and Strictly.

I feel deprived.

KaraToytown · 18/05/2011 23:09

Don't forget the crockery if you are refurnishing.

SupermassiveLBD · 18/05/2011 23:12

That blue is definitely a Heritage Shade...

Maudie, can you spot the Man hiding behind Mr Thornton, because I don't see him at all in Gizzy, he seems a different person altogether.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 18/05/2011 23:13

Hello, Kara. I haven't seen the Soldier Boy either, except through the medium of YT. This tells you all you need to know - .

I need to go and lie down now, so I'm off for an early night with Captain Wentworth. Good night all!

SupermassiveLBD · 18/05/2011 23:15

Oooh, lovely Kara. The cups are quite nice too.

Couldn't you get Strike Back on DVD? For those rare 'me' times when you have the telly etc to yourself.

SupermassiveLBD · 18/05/2011 23:17

Night night Maud, My best regards to Captain Wentworth
That reminds me. did you have the bottle of Peppermint Foot Rub last?

KaraToytown · 18/05/2011 23:17

Thank you Maud. Silly me, I thought it was about fighting and war and stuff.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 18/05/2011 23:19

::Looks back at you::

Indeed, Kara. So important to have nice china from which to drink one's Earl Grey.

Nice bit of Chinoiserie wallpaper

Massive - I think Mr Armitage's immense good sense in not living his life through the medium of Hello magazine means that it is very difficult to discern the Man anywhere and it is all about the Role.

::Hums: One flew east and one flew west and one flew over the cuckoo's nest::

KaraToytown · 18/05/2011 23:24

A last contribution from me to the decor. Isn't this pretty?

The candleabra is nice as well.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 18/05/2011 23:24

::Looks back again::

I fear it is, Kara, but I had to ditch this evening's SB vid because there was far too much war, bullets and mayhem. Whereas, as an old hippy, my motto is make love not war.

Massive - You've still got the peppermint foot rub, although you probably finished the last bottle when you used it as duraglit substitute for burnishing Guy's broadsword.

Right. Must go. Captain Wentworth awaits me.

KaraToytown · 18/05/2011 23:25

Is that how you spell it? Confused

SupermassiveLBD · 18/05/2011 23:28

I didn't mean the Man's character, Maudie, that is unknowable and not our business ,I just meant in respect of his outward appearance.

Do you know, that pic might just have been shot in a Chinese restaurant I used to go to in Milton...

SupermassiveLBD · 18/05/2011 23:31

Lovely pic, Kara, straight from Elle Decoration , May 1855 edition.
