Of course, I am violently allergic to cats...

The only picture we have of the Dean is not overly flattering but in my head he looks a little more like this

Come in, enjoy, help yourself to Twiglets.
Yours sincerely, a Fair Trespasser.

Well my pool idea has been a HUGE sucess. They've barely been out of it today and it's glorious sunshine. I have been to M&S for fud and BBQ will start in less than an hour (before the kids start eating the furniture). Wine is in the fridge, dips are on the side - welcome to the weekend!! Grin

Hang on, something is missing from this perfect picture....ah I know, <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=i1002.photobucket.com/albums/af145/RAFrenzy/fanstravaganza-bannernodates.jpg&imgrefurl=rafrenzy.com/page/2/&usg=__CMKhM39J03vrGy5ftV4AAzNP-ZU=&h=259&w=579&sz=67&hl=en&start=83&zoom=1&tbnid=dOWui9vtHSAdoM:&tbnh=100&tbnw=223&ei=cAHpTfG1IorTtAbO44mBCQ&prev=/search%3Fq%3Drichard%2Barmitage%2Bmontage%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DG%26biw%3D1899%26bih%3D876%26tbm%3Disch&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=1252&vpy=534&dur=374&hovh=150&hovw=336&tx=192&ty=88&page=3&ndsp=33&ved=1t:429,r:30,s:83&biw=1899&bih=876" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">guests!

DumSpiroSpero · 03/06/2011 17:56

Glad everyone had been enjoying the sunshine. We've had a lovely day so far. DD's bf has a little brother who is absolutely gorgeous but at an age where he either wants to ne playing with the girls or having our attention, but he was at nursery today so the girls and us mums both got to have a good catch up (they're at different schools so we only get to see them properly in hols). Little bro came home in time to see 'Auntie' Spiro Smile which was lovely.
Came home to find garden overtaken by tent all kitted out for the night, BBQ on the go & cider in the fridge.
Off to Village Fair in half an hour - will sleep well tonight!

SupermassiveLBD · 03/06/2011 18:46

So you have all been having outdoor half-term fun today! Not to be outdone, I have actually been and met a friend in a cafe for afternoon tea this afternoon. Islanders were fainting in droves to see me out and about!

Got the usual ''Richard who? Oh, yeah !!!'' reaction' when I was unable to stop myself gushing to my friend. She didn't know Gizzy or Lucas but Mr Thornton gets an enthusiastic thumbs up from her.

Oooh, a brand new piccie of Heinz. Do you think he combed his eyebrows specially to look all sort of evil and satanic?

LOL at your description of the reaction you got, Massive - that's exactly what I got from my hairdresser last time I was in! Who? Oh him - oh God, yes!" :) It was Lucas she knew though, none of the others. Hope you had fun at the cafe with your friend, sounds like a nice way to spend the day!

Spiro & Small, your days sound great too. BBQs are always good - we are having one tomorrow, I think. I did actually manage have a nice day with the kids today - this half-term hasn't been nearly as bad as other school holidays. I am almost looking fwd to summer hols at this rate! Although remind me I said that when we are 3 weeks in :)

SupermassiveLBD · 03/06/2011 19:40

I do feel a bit silly though, not being able to stop myself gushing over him like a teenager. and a very young teenager at that! Blush

But it is sort of nice that they know what you mean Wink

SupermassiveLBD · 03/06/2011 20:17

Another of Heinz's varieties

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 03/06/2011 21:27

Oh crikey. Yet more guns and mayhem, although I've always been fond of a double-breasted suit in Prince of Wales check.

Twiggoletto - I was sorry to hear of your Tower of London trauma. Do you know this website where you can get two for one deals if you travel by train?

We have just done two exhibitions at two museums. Is there any foot lotion left or have Massive and Gizzy used it all?

TheSmallPrint · 03/06/2011 21:37

Well that was fun Grin.

Where are you getting the Heinz photos from? Confused

I can't gush to people about The Man, people just look at me like I'm weird. I have one friend who likes him quite a lot but even she thinks I like him too much and she doesn't know anything about you lot. Grin

SupermassiveLBD · 03/06/2011 21:44

My word, everyone ihas been busy out and about! I just sat on my backside all afternoon and the only part of me that was exercised was my jaw

PasstheTwiglets · 03/06/2011 21:47

Oh Maud, don't remind me about the @!$&! vouchers Angry I had one of them printed out but when I gave it to the cashier she said "er - this is for Tower Bridge". I am such an idiot. She kindly directed us to an internet cafe where I managed to print out the right one. Not before bursting into tears in a hormonal outburst though :)

Which exhibitions did you see, Maud? I was saying to a friend recently that I wish MissTwigs would enjoy museums but all she seems to want to do is to play her DS Sad I am thinking of taking her to the British Museum soon, to tie in with their Romans topic at school, but I know she will be bored.

I've been whistling La Donna E Mobile (sp?) on and off ever since you first used that!

SupermassiveLBD · 03/06/2011 21:47

The Heinz photos are all over the place, Small but you can get them at the famous screencaps site too.

Like the Man too much? That is just not possible Confused

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 03/06/2011 21:50

Hmm. The deal around here is that Bloke is aware of my torrid affair deep intellectual connection with Mr Thornton, but this is not an interest I share with my friends (although, as you may remember, one to whom Girl blurted something then looked him up on IMDb and commented on the ::cough:: come to bed eyes).

SupermassiveLBD · 03/06/2011 21:58

That photo on there is kind of lethal. I do manage not to blab to people that don't already know I am a loon appreciate my quirky but warm personality.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 03/06/2011 21:58

Lawks. Does that mean that I'm likely to bump into Gizzy next time I'm in L'Occitane (where, naturally, I shop all the time, what with being so chic and soignée)?

::worries that the broadsword will knock the carefully-arranged piles of lavender soap onto the floor::

We went to The Cult of Beauty at the V&A and saw a lot of stuff like this and then on to the British Museum.

And eek, again, Twiggy. Was the £50 after you had used the voucher?
::swears to say no more about it::

PasstheTwiglets · 03/06/2011 22:05

New Photos always appear on Twitter, Small, but I hardly use that now. I am obviously fully outed now as BM sent me a friend request on FB and she posted the new pic.

One of my only friends likes him a lot (from way before he was on my RAdar, actually!) but she would think what I do here entirely bizarre so I haven't mentioned it.

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 03/06/2011 22:09

Gizzy would cause quite a stir in L'Occitane, wouldn't he? But you know men, they don't like going into shops that sell smellies that so you will be quite safe I am sure.

Fascinating exhibition, at the V&A We had something similar here on MN the other day, didn't we, ladies?

PasstheTwiglets · 03/06/2011 22:11

My asterisks didn't work - they were meant to indicate omitted letters but instead it turned tin bold. I meant B * M *.

We didn't pay £50 thankfully, Maud, I meant that was the walk-up price for a family of 4. It cost us about £30 with the voucher.

What did GardenGirl think of the British Museum?

LOL, I am eating Twiglets (Nigella recommends them for dieting) and I don't know how I am managing to eat them in front of DH without laughing :)

OP posts:
PasstheTwiglets · 03/06/2011 22:12

LOL at "something similar", Massive!!

OP posts:
ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 03/06/2011 22:13

Ah yes. The Victorians knew a thing or two about the cult of beauty.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 03/06/2011 22:16

Am slightly disappointed to think that I won't meet Gizzy in L'Occitane, where his skills in Norman French could be quite useful in deciphering the packaging.

Girl likes the British Museum as the poor mite has been taken there regularly since birth.

SupermassiveLBD · 03/06/2011 22:16

I prefer that last example to your previous exhibit, Maud!

SupermassiveLBD · 03/06/2011 22:19

Perhaps Gizzy could be persuaded to make an exception for you, Maud. How are your BEGGING skills?

SupermassiveLBD · 03/06/2011 22:21

Twigs, re the asterisky lady, does this mean you actually know fandom royalty?

PasstheTwiglets · 03/06/2011 22:23

Sadly the only exhibition I think MissTwigs will be up for is the DrWho exhibition that we're going to in the summer hols :)

OP posts:
PasstheTwiglets · 03/06/2011 22:26

No, Massive - I'm quite unsure as to how she found me actually! I follow her on Twitter and she followed me back so it must be via that, but then my RL name (which is on FB) doesn't tie up with my Twitter name so I'm a bit Confused.
