Of course, I am violently allergic to cats...

The only picture we have of the Dean is not overly flattering but in my head he looks a little more like this

Come in, enjoy, help yourself to Twiglets.
Yours sincerely, a Fair Trespasser.

Begging, Massive? I of course have never had to beg, as Mr Thornton is only too ready to do my bidding,* but I believe some other ladies ::raises lorgnette:: .

  • I am thinking, of course, of the invaluable help he gave me in potting-on the petunias in the glass house.
PasstheTwiglets · 03/06/2011 22:30

:o @ potting-on the petunias!

Potting-on petunias eh? So that's what they are calling it back in Blighty these days.

I have to say the begging really does seem to fascinate an awful lot of the Gizzy fans. I wonder why?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 03/06/2011 22:38

Well, Mr Thornton is a dab hand with a trowel. Unlike Lovelace who, as we know, is a rake.

::falls about laughing at own horticultural joke::

PasstheTwiglets · 03/06/2011 22:39

badoom-tish.

Did you know you can send your name to Mars on a little microchip?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 03/06/2011 23:01

Is there life on Mars?

::Realises this will restart Twiggy's John Simm reverie::

SupermassiveLBD · 03/06/2011 23:04

I don't know about Twigs, but I could murder a Mars Bar right this minute.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 03/06/2011 23:10

Oh, me too. I waaaant some chocolate.

SupermassiveLBD · 03/06/2011 23:15

We haven't got a crumb of it in , never do have, it gets hoovered up the minute it enters the house.

Wouldn't mind some Thornton's Continental either... The Diplomat and the Alpini are lush. and the coffee truffle in white choccy...

DumSpiroSpero · 03/06/2011 23:16

Just popping in to say hello & goodnight. Lovely evening, lovely cider (hic), need my camp bed!

BTW, ROFL at Maud's gardening joke Grin!

DumSpiroSpero · 03/06/2011 23:17

Lush, Massive? You don't hail from the West Country originally do you?

SupermassiveLBD · 03/06/2011 23:18

You are not actually going to sleep in a tent, Spiro? Isn't that taking your Strike Back fantasies a bit too far?

PasstheTwiglets · 03/06/2011 23:19

We have just finished rewatching Life On Mars, ackchewly!

Massive, that is a nice idea about the Mars microchip - will get MissTwigs to do it tomorrow.

Night night, Spiro - have fun in the garden :) I'm off to bed too. Night all!

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 03/06/2011 23:20

No, I learned the word off MN. Spiro. Am well and truly from Oop North-ish, if a certain PSM will pardon the expression.

DumSpiroSpero · 03/06/2011 23:25

I am sleeping in tent - perhaps you shouldn't have mentioned SB fantasies!

Night all - sweet dreams.

SupermassiveLBD · 03/06/2011 23:35

Night, ladies,

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 03/06/2011 23:35

I spent three nights sleeping in a tent this week and have the wrecked spine to prove it.

::Wonders whether Mr Thornton might oblige with a shoulder rub::

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 03/06/2011 23:40

Camper than a row of tents

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 03/06/2011 23:48

And with that I bid you a good night. And so does my special friend.

DumSpiroSpero · 04/06/2011 02:38

Sod that for a game of soldiers

I have decamped! Night night!

TheSmallPrint · 04/06/2011 08:11

Morning all how was the tent Spiro?

Grin @ Mauds gardening joke but surely you could have squeezed in another about JP not being a ho(e)??

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 04/06/2011 08:26

I could have done, Small, but that would have Lowered The Tone. .

::wonders why she's up this early and staggers back to bed::

DumSpiroSpero · 04/06/2011 09:21

As you may have gathered from previous comment, Small, the tent was not good.

Really strong wind got up so it was unusually cold & noisy. Had to come in for the loo so I decided to stay put.

DD slept better in the tent than she does in her own bedroom Confused
