Of course, I am violently allergic to cats...

The only picture we have of the Dean is not overly flattering but in my head he looks a little more like this

Come in, enjoy, help yourself to Twiglets.
Yours sincerely, a Fair Trespasser.

While you lot are busy getting your mouths around those tongue twisters, I would be more interested in getting my mouth around...

My dinner, I'm starving and haven't eaten yet! Grin

LadyVenetia · 02/06/2011 20:30

Hello - How is everyone?

LadyVenetia · 02/06/2011 20:34

Hungry mortals! I had my dinner, then I was still hungry a bit later, so I had another one Grin

:o @ Small

Hi LadyV! Not bad, ta. I've been at a playtrail for most of the day, imagining various chaRActers on the seesaw with me, thanks to Massive :)

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 02/06/2011 20:53

Did they play nice. Twiggers?

TheSmallPrint · 02/06/2011 21:40

I'm back and sated. For now. Grin

Evening Lady V

Did you have fun Twigs?

PasstheTwiglets · 02/06/2011 22:23

Oh no, Massive, they weren't nice at all, it was fabulous. Guy kept his boots on though :o I'll return him to you pronto, thanks for the loan.

Fun, Small? Well I wouldn't go that far - it was a day out with the kids, after all. But it was tolerable which counts as a good day for us :)

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 02/06/2011 22:32

Grin @ not nice at all, with boots on.

I should hope so, too, or he would have got splinters in his piggy-toes Wink

What is it with blokes and stompy boots ? The Superboys were wellington addicts when they were tiny.

PasstheTwiglets · 02/06/2011 22:36

I might invite Mr Lovelace along next time, too...

Well I am here again ::feet caught in super sticky glue:: Yikes!

SupermassiveLBD · 02/06/2011 23:08

Hello, Lady V!!! Have you anything new and exciting to tell us? Please say you do!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 02/06/2011 23:47

::Collapses on the chaise longue, a souvenir box of shortbread in her hand::

Just back from half term trip. I see we have had a visitor ::looks round for acatcalledBob:: and have been spreading smut and profanity scholarly erudition on other threads.

If I were not such a lady, I might be persuaded to loosen my stays for Mr Thornton

SupermassiveLBD · 03/06/2011 00:01

Maudie, welcome home! Did you have a good time? I thought you had eschewed stays, in the interests of a more enlightened mode of female dressing.

Bob was a nice surprise, but she seems to have absconded with Uzi

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 03/06/2011 00:05

Oh yes, so I did, Massive, what with my aesthetic dress and all. How silly of me to forget.

SupermassiveLBD · 03/06/2011 00:15

I expect you just put the stays on when you are playing dressing up.

Sweet dreams anyway, in whatever guise you happen to be.

The same to everyone else too. I am off to get my head down!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 03/06/2011 00:18

Dors bien!

TheSmallPrint · 03/06/2011 07:05

Good mowning

Well my sticky glue didn't work very well on Lady V, she disappeared again,'or perhaps it glued her typing fingers as she tried to work her shoes free?? Grin.

Welcome home Maud and ta for the biccies, have we been north of the border?

Today has to be a BBQ and paddling pool day if the sun does what it promises on the weather report-yay!!

DumSpiroSpero · 03/06/2011 09:16

DD & I are off to see her 'bff' this morning. H has come up with the bright idea of camping in the garden for the next couple of days so he will mostly be doing battle with an 8 man tent.

Tonight we're all off to the village fair with my friend & her 2 girls where I will mostly be doing battle with the beer tent! Grin

PasstheTwiglets · 03/06/2011 09:24

Good morning, all. Who would like a shiny new present? Twiglets a-plenty!

Grrrr at mention of padddling pools - ours takes ages to set up, costs a fortune to fill (we're on a water meter) and then you have to spend ages boiling up vats of water to make it less freezing cold... and then the little darlings play in it for 4 minutes before announcing they've had enough Angry

I hvae a nice plan for today but it only works if the Tesco man co-oeprates and arrives at the start of my 2-hour delivery slot. I've booked an open top bus tour of our town and then I'll take them out for a cheapy lunch and then they can entertain themselves* this afternoon whilst I collapse in a heap. But if the Tesco man is late then we have to do the afternoon tour and then it will be all hot and horrible and yucky.

  • and by this, I mean that they will keep coming in to me every 2 minutes whilst I yell 'go and entertain yourselves!' :)

And just by the by, DrTwigs has a suit exactly like that :) Well, I say 'has a suit' but it's his only suit :)

DumSpiroSpero · 03/06/2011 09:36

Our Tesco delivery service is pretty good, although last time I didn't notice they'd substituted sweet pastry for plain shortcrust - not much good for making steak pie with!

Feeling your pain re paddling pools, Twigs. We have to inflate ours on the driveway using the pump that runs off the car and manoeuvre it up the side of the house without puncturing it before we can fill it up, although not on a meter, thank God. Then as you say, used for about 4 minutes and then becomes an Olympic sized pool for creepy crawlies.

TheSmallPrint · 03/06/2011 10:30

Ours have to be dragged out of the pool! We have a fairly decent sized one like this and no water meter (thankfully) I have been filling it for about an hour so far and it's about a third of the way up Shock. But they will play in it for hours today especially because they have friends over, they do not care about the cold at all.

Where did you find that pic Twigs? Is there more stuff being released about CA?

Village fair sounds good Spiro, don't forget the hot dogs and burgers!

TheSmallPrint · 03/06/2011 10:30

Twigs hope your Tesco man comes nice and early..

PasstheTwiglets · 03/06/2011 15:25

Pic was on FB, Small. It was just a pic as far as I know, no more info.

Tesco man did come early (fnar fnar) so we did the open top bus and then lunch - and a nice surprise was that DrTwigs joined us there! We are now onto the 'play by yourselves' portion of the day but they've only managed it for about 3 seconds so far, grrr.
