Of course, I am violently allergic to cats...

The only picture we have of the Dean is not overly flattering but in my head he looks a little more like this

Come in, enjoy, help yourself to Twiglets.
Yours sincerely, a Fair Trespasser.

Night Small!

And apologies Bessie - predictive text getting the better of me again!

PasstheTwiglets · 24/05/2011 07:01

I am both reading and re-listening to Venetia at the moment but I'm at different points in both. It's very confusing. Damerel is definitely the best Heyer totty but I liked the stories of Sylvester and TCM better. Didn't like SYlvester much at first (He's horrible in the first few scenes, saying things like "oh she's not pretty enough to marry" and so on but I definitely had a soft spot (not a euphemism) for him later.

I had that hideous gel several times too - I had flashbacks for 2 years. Last thing about childbirth and then I need to not think about it anymore - they broke the news that I may need a C-section in very sad voices, as if they thought I would be desperately upset but I almost cried with happiness when they told me and said "Thank you - I've been asking for one for months!!!" They were somewhat taken aback at that :)

Spiro, I just reopened your link and it came up with a totally different picture, did you not wonder that I had totally lost the plot? When I opened it yesterday it came up with that black and white photo of him from the 80s with that hideous long wavy hair. Grin

I got the black & white photo with awful hair too, Small. I assumed Spiro was joking about the "this is nice" bit but I must admit I wondered what the "even if he has company" bit was about. So I'm thinking either we missed the joke or you sent the wrong pic, Spiro! :)

The beardy ones were lovely though :)

I've just clicked on it and got a completely different picture from the one I thought I'd posted and the one you're talking about Small Confused!

I was trying to post this one from Strikeback.

Am at home today alternating ice packs and hot wheat bag on hip. Didn't sleep too badly thank goodness, but need to be mobile by tomorrow as have got a really bust few days at work before half term.

DumSpiroSpero · 24/05/2011 10:16

Busy few days, obviously!!! Even on the PC I can't type straight.

TheSmallPrint · 24/05/2011 10:28

Wow that's a really intersting photo if you look at the blog. Look at how much they have done to the photos such as highlighting and making their skin glow more. I wish I had a Photoshop expert following me around. Grin
Funny comment on the blog about the model posing with RA, she looks slighly horrified.

Sorry your still feeling rubbish Spiro, can you not take some time off work?

DumSpiroSpero · 24/05/2011 10:32

I'm off today but we're short in the office already and I've got the familes newsletter, staff newsletter & diaries for the next two weeks and book swap in the next three days.

I don't mind a bit of discomfort - I just want to be sure it's not going to spasm again, as I was literally screaming in pain when it did last night (only momentarily but did it 3 or 4 times) It feels like a really intense one-sided contraction when it goes - is not pleasant and I don't want to scare the kids!

TheSmallPrint · 24/05/2011 10:34

Can you get an appointment with a physio/chiropractor/acupuncturist ?

DumSpiroSpero · 24/05/2011 10:40

I'm not sure it's that serious - just very painful. TBH I don't do a great deal of exercise so am probably being a bit of a drama queen as not used to these types of aches and pains. I have a docs appointment on Thursday anyway so will mention it then if it's still causing problems.

Just looked at the blog link from that photo - is the girl in the original mad???!!!

I love Photoshop - the copy I have now is very old (and a bit dubious) so can't do so much with it, but it is fantastic. Kind of spoils the illusion when you see touched up pics though as you know exactly what they've done. In RA's case the dead giveaway is to check out his forehead - he has a little chicken pox scar which regularly gets erased in more formal studio photos!

DumSpiroSpero · 24/05/2011 10:42

Look who's pic of the day...

You can even zoom in Grin Grin Grin!

PasstheTwiglets · 24/05/2011 10:50

Morning Spiro! Glad you slept ok. Sorry it's still really painful though. Can you get some Diclofenac? That doesn't knock you out. Has to be on prescription though. Poor you.

And how are things on the island, Massive? Are the SuperBoys any better yet and did you catch the dreaded lurgy?

That photo with the short model instead or Orla Brady was hilarious! Is it just me or his shirt look a bit cheap and nasty? Looks like it's all faded...

I didn't know about his chicken pox scar! I have one of those on my forehead too! maybe we should marry and be chicken pox twins

Maud, I need you! I have a question about my clematis*

  • consider that a gift from me to you, Spiro :o

PasstheTwiglets · 24/05/2011 10:51

Which bit did you zoom in on, S?

OP posts:
TheSmallPrint · 24/05/2011 10:54

Look where Maya's looking. Wink

DumSpiroSpero · 24/05/2011 10:55

The moving tattoo, obviously Twigs (what are you insinuating?! Grin)

Clematis???

TheSmallPrint · 24/05/2011 10:56

can't spot the chickenpox scar Spiro but they both look like they've had a bit of Botox in the second pic, amazing how many creases / wrinkles have been smoothed.

DumSpiroSpero · 24/05/2011 10:56

Oh, Small - now you've made me look at it again! Grin

TheSmallPrint · 24/05/2011 10:58

Twigs, I think you have sent Maud in search of purer souls by insulting Mrs Gaskill Wink, she may never return even with the lure of Clematis. Perhaps some beautiful Thornton shots, surrounded by Clematis will entice her? Spiro get Photoshopping!

DumSpiroSpero · 24/05/2011 10:58

You can't see the scar in that, but if you look at some close up screencaps - it's on his left, so our right.

I am not a complete nutter - I was trained to notice these kind of details (honest guv!)

TheSmallPrint · 24/05/2011 11:01

OK see now you're going to have to post me lots of close up face pictures so I can study the finer detail. Please. Grin

TheSmallPrint · 24/05/2011 11:02

I will be back later to check on your progress Wink but for now I MUST do some work.

DumSpiroSpero · 24/05/2011 11:02

Having to laugh at the top 40

No 25 - Dirty Talk
No 26 - Buzzin'
No 27 - Right There

No 29 - We don't have to take our clothes off!!! Perhaps he needs to tell the others Grin!

DumSpiroSpero · 24/05/2011 11:14

OK un-Photoshopped

Photoshopped

PasstheTwiglets · 24/05/2011 11:19

Oh bless him, it's just like mine and is exactly where mine is too! That's it - from now on I shall be calling him Richard, because of our obvious spiritual connection :o

Maud, I haven't really scared you off, have I?! You knwo what they say - we joke about the things we love. Or summat like that!

OP posts:
DumSpiroSpero · 24/05/2011 11:30

I think we might have scared off Twigs

there she goes...
