Strangers are friends you just haven't met, yet. Even when they are baddies and drive science-fiction-y submarines, wearing a smart grey lounge suit.

TBH that thread is creeping me out, Twigs, rather than making me laugh.

Have most of the men in England been abducted and replaced by pod people or something, since I left?

Mr M now seems scarily normal , gawd help me, in comparison

Night, Small, maybe tonight's the night you get lucky!

LadyVenetia · 06/05/2011 22:32

Hello!!! Heinz Kruger!!!

SupermassiveLBD · 06/05/2011 22:37

Hello, Lady V. Do you like the new building, then?

OP posts:
LadyVenetia · 06/05/2011 22:42

It's wonderful massive!!

SupermassiveLBD · 06/05/2011 22:43

Grin I expect it'll be a Hobbity one next time!

Re the weird DH's, the Captain Scarlet fanfic one made me laugh the most...

OP posts:
ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 06/05/2011 23:10

Did anyone else enjoy the irony of Alexander Bat ears Armstrong overseeing allusions to Andrew Marr's aural organs?

Anyway ::sounds klaxon:: I did say I was going to invite to drop in tonight.

SupermassiveLBD · 06/05/2011 23:15

Barry the Walrus, not Barry the Goblin, I take it? Hello Maud, how was your day?

OP posts:
PassTheTwiglets · 06/05/2011 23:16

LadyV! I've been hoping to catch you! WTF happened at the end of Frozen?!?! I couldn't make head nor tail of it...

Maud, I didn't actually pay a lot of attention to HIGNFY but that would've amused me!

Massive, I ROFL'd at the Captain Scarlett one too!

I think our Spiro may have made a little predictive text error on that thread :o

PassTheTwiglets · 06/05/2011 23:17

Oh wait, better not mention the end of Frozen as Spiro hasn't seen it yet. Never mind!

SupermassiveLBD · 06/05/2011 23:41

Has Barry made everyone swoon?
Maybe you all need waking up. I can't believe we've not had this before. Grin

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 06/05/2011 23:54

Uzi, time you went out and time I went up, methinks...

::Crawls gingerly out of the crater caused by the detonation of the Love Bomb::

Very nice, Massive. I thought we had been ::ahem:: entertained by the Welsh bard before. If we are staying in the Principality, perhaps we should revise this ?

::And, leaving that treat for tomorrow's early shift, Maud tiptoes away::

Well that certainly blew the cobwebs away, Maudie! How delightful, haven't seen that in ages. It is also perfect for helping me to procRAstinate whilst I'm supposed to be sorting out the playroom. I remember us discussing his use of Midnight Raven a while back (who came up with that name? It still makes me LOL!) but I don't know if we ever decided whether he definitely did go for the L'Oreal or not. But I think the shot at 21 seconds in proves it - it definitely doesn't look natural for him, does it? And oooooohhhh, 2.12...

Because he's worth it

SupermassiveLBD · 07/05/2011 12:23

He is so worth it.

TBH the L'Oreal question doesn't bother me a jot. How many of us ladies dare to go au naturel , eschewing all forms of sneaky enhancement?

You can always tell yourself it's natural for the character .

OP posts:
ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 07/05/2011 12:25

Oh, swoon.

I will break my self-imposed rule about not talking about the ReAl person rather than the personae, to observe that in all his earlier roles - Frozen, Impressionists, the Wind and Wuthering one whose name I forget etc - he is a brunette. Then, for Mr Thornton ::pause for moment's reverie:: his hair is as black as night and has been ever since. Just saying, like.

Be still my beating heart

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 07/05/2011 12:29

Quite, Massive. I guess we all have to do things we'd otherwise rather not, at our employers' behest.

SupermassiveLBD · 07/05/2011 12:44

Well, it floats my boat, either way
for Mr Thornton ::pause for moment's reverie:: his hair is as black as night

and obviously it had to remain so for being Gizzy, so it would match his heart.

OP posts:
PassTheTwiglets · 07/05/2011 14:08

Oh it doesn't bother me at all either, I am just nosey curious! Once or twice I vaguely wondered if the brunette was the natural colour or the Midnight Raven and it just occurred to me when watching that vid that it's blindingly obvious which looks more natural. It looks very natural when the chaRActer has black hair but those RL shots just looked weird (not bad weird, just different weird).

:) at your shudder, Massive!

Speaking of us ladies going au naturel, I need to hop on over to S&B at some point to ask about dying my hair. Can't afford to have it done at the hairdressers anymore but going lighter is scarily dangerous when you do it yourself. Although not as bad as going light and then dark again when it can turn GREEN (I speak from traumatic experience).

SupermassiveLBD · 07/05/2011 14:24

Green, Twigs? Poor you. though I suppose you could have always pretended you were Irish.

I do love your cReAtive spelling

Hi Ladiez - been running round after DD all morning, swimming lessons then info gathering for this term's school project and associated homework - Dinosaurs and fossils - fun, fun, fun - particularly with a 6.7 year old who totally refuses to take any remotely sensible suggestion as to how she might do things on board. Am now dreading my bright idea to take her to the Natural History Museum next weekend, but have already booked the train and bought Oyster card - God help me!

Twigs I dyed my hair - usually lighter - for 6 years after having DD, only started having it done at salon again at Christmas. This is a good one as you don't end up with all one 'flat' colour' - it takes a while though. Feria is also good.

Don't mind me asking but how much does your hairdresser charge? I know the difference between our town centre hairdressers and a smaller out-of-town one like the guy I use can sometimes be more than 50%.

I've been having straightforward 50% bleach highlights on the t-bar and he charges £60 including cut and blow dry. I've had them done properly about 4 months apart with a top up in between which was £25. It might be worth seeing if someone can recommend another salon or a mobile hairdresser who doesn't have the overheads and can charge less.

DumSpiroSpero · 07/05/2011 16:01

That should be 20% bleach - I'd end up looking like a porky version of Lady Gaga with 50%!!!

DumSpiroSpero · 07/05/2011 17:31

I have just thoroughly enjoyed revisiting 'hat' & Massive's new find was brilliant!
DD is not quite so impressed as I have burnt her pizza (again) as a result Blush
