Our New Patron! Grin

::Looks back at you::

Well, I thought the Academy cat needed a name and as Mr Porter is our patron I thought it should be something rugged and manly (if Mr Thornton were our patron I might have gone for something like Fluffy). I abandoned Hechler and Koch for obvious reasons and then thought of Uzi. I have no idea if Mr Porter's very large weapon is an Uzi - I suspect not - but I thought it might still work as a cat name. Perhaps we'll have to rename him when we next move?

SupermassiveLBD · 02/03/2011 00:15

Uzi is certainly a better name than Kalashnikov and quicker to shout when he's doing something he shouldn't climbing up our fine new curtains, f'instance.

DumSpiroSpero · 02/03/2011 00:19

British Special Forces haven't used Kalashnikovs for years so would also be highly inaccurate.

SupermassiveLBD · 02/03/2011 00:21

Oh good, that lets us out of ever using the name, then Grin

SupermassiveLBD · 02/03/2011 00:31

Weeel, I think I got the insomnia beat for tonight! Sweet dreams, to all as are still around, and puss puss puss to Uzi. A saucer of cream for you.

DumSpiroSpero · 02/03/2011 00:33

Well next time we have a Thornton thread, Fluffy is very nice, or may I suggest Plato?

For Lucas - Mysh (Russian for mouse - have actually met a cat so-named!)

DumSpiroSpero · 02/03/2011 00:33

Nighty night!

TheSmallPrint · 02/03/2011 09:35

morning ladies are you looking at me?

TheSmallPrint · 02/03/2011 09:35

[[http://www.richardarmitagenet.com/images/gallery/Spooks/Spooks9/album/Spooks9DVDExtras/album/slides/downfall-004.html are you?]

TheSmallPrint · 02/03/2011 09:36

come closer

TheSmallPrint · 02/03/2011 09:36

(sorry about that previous one)

SupermassiveLBD · 02/03/2011 10:27

Oh golly, Small, that second pic

Here's looking at you, kid! Grin And thudding womanfully

TheSmallPrint · 02/03/2011 10:36

this was the middle one

SupermassiveLBD · 02/03/2011 11:06

Oooh, kerrumbs!
I can't decide how I like Gizzy best, all sleek and groomed and handsome, or scruffy and down and out, and therefore in need of restoration to his former glory. Preferably by yours truly.

Lucas looks a bit stressed too- I expect Bateman has taken over by then? I still think it's all a dastardly plan with mind-altering drugs. You can program the mind, insert false memories, you know.

TheSmallPrint · 02/03/2011 11:11

Well you know I'm not a fan of the tramp long haired look but even I have to admit he looks like sex on a stick nice in that shot. Grin

I'm not thinking 'stressed' I'm thinking masterful with the Lucas shot Wink Don't spoil my mental imagery. Grin

SupermassiveLBD · 02/03/2011 11:33

Re Lucas's expression, perhaps we can meet halfway at 'ruthless' Small. I do have a soft spot for that.

TheSmallPrint · 02/03/2011 11:49

OK I can work with that Grin

SupermassiveLBD · 02/03/2011 12:01

As for that pic of Gizzy well, sex on a stick nice is putting it mildly.

I'm thinking more spontaneous combustion inducing.

DumSpiroSpero · 02/03/2011 12:35

You're doing it again - it's lunchtime FGS!!! Grin

DumSpiroSpero · 02/03/2011 12:37

Forgot to add this little quote from Mr T's favourite philosopher:

"Do not train children to learning by force and harshness, but direct them to it by what amuses their minds, so that you may be better able to discover with accuracy the peculiar bent of the genius of each." ? Plato

Spiro raising the tone today - who'd have thunk it?!

OP posts:
TheSmallPrint · 02/03/2011 12:38

I must remember that quote when I am next screaming at DS about his written homework. Grin

SupermassiveLBD · 02/03/2011 12:40

Very good for the figure, though, Spiro, you are so busy thudding you don't need food. Plus you actually burn calories with all the heat you generate.

SupermassiveLBD · 02/03/2011 12:42

It was not the Plato I was referring to, obviously...

DumSpiroSpero · 02/03/2011 14:21

The thing is, I can't do thudding without seeing the pictures, and I can't open the pictures without half the office seeing (or access YouTube ad it's blocked from on high) so I just sit there frustrated...!
