Haven't actually written anything today - too bloody tired as was really busy at work. Am mentally 'writing' though. I did do a whole chapter Sunday night, but not the first one, so nothing to post yet.

Oh poo, I completely forgot to check my bank account before I indulged. ! It will be all right though, I am sure.
No hurry with the story, just hoped you were having fun with it.

I was only paid on Thursday so know it's ok, but probably shouldn't have really. Oh well, too late!

The thing is with StS, I can picture really vividly what I'm writing. I would love to do it as a screenplay but would be a bit of a waste of time, not to mention that I don't technically know how to write a screenplay.

I did have a look at courses yesterday, as one of the other projects I've got in mind I really want to do for screen, but need to start saving my pennies. The London Film Academy do a one day raster course which I.might treat myself to as they do one just before my birthday, later in the year.

They also do a 2-week full time course which would be fantastic - you actually get to put something together that is acted & filmed, but I can't afford that this year and don't know if I could manage it logistically, with work, DD and having to either commute or stay in London for the duration.

There doesn't seem to be anything local unfortunately.

That's a pity you can't find anything locally, Spiro. You should not give up looking though - you might not be looking in the right place....?

Sounds like bliss, Spiro, it would be wondedrful if you could get to attend something of that type. I have tried distance learning type writing courses but they were very unsatisfactory.

I've only had a cursory look in my lunchbreak so far.

The really sad thing is that I had a very good friend of several years who did a degree in Film Production and knows exactly how to write screenplays & treatments, but he & I drifted apart after I got married.

He only lives a few miles down the road and I could contact him VIA his parents but I'm inclined to think that after 8 years it's best to let sleeping dogs lie.

The 2 week course is not a total impossibility. If I aim for next summer that would give me time to get the course costs together and there are people I could stay with in London, or is only just over an hour each way commute. If it ran during the school summer hols I'd be off and so would DH so childcare would be sorted.

Anyway, will have a good look at all my options in the meantime. Have got plenty to keep me occupied for now!

Sounds good to me. I'm out of Polish & trying to give the CG a miss, at least for a week or two, after last weekend. When will I ever learn that even one glass of red on top of a few white ones results in me feeling like I've been seriously poisoned the following day?
