Please come in and make yourself at home. All are welcome to join in our exhaustive and detailed daily research programmes. Areas of study include: The Cotton Industry in the Industrial Revolution; Robin Hood Studies (specialist subject Guy of Gisborne) as well as exhaustive study of the Creative Arts, Film and Media (with particular emphasis on Tolkein, the Armed Forces and National Security).

Would you like a glass of Chateau Gizzy?

I didn't see it at all at first - it looked like a ring in the photoas I linked to it. But if you click on 'original image' in the bottom right corner it's very clear. Stoppid Twigs for posting. And yes it would be a huuuuuuuuuuuuge turn-off for me! You are totally right about the characters, Maud but it's just hard to separate the two sometimes - they look so similar :)

Well I have to go as MissTwiglets has just thrown up EVERYWHERE. Lovely. See you all tomorrow, no doubt.

SupermassiveLBD · 15/02/2011 22:00

The member who draws the short straw I should think, Phoenix. Unless ther's a volunteer.

SupermassiveLBD · 15/02/2011 22:01

Poor MissTwiglets and you, hope she recovers soon. Twiggy.

Oh dear, Twiggy!

::Dispatches Dixon to Twigtown equipped with mop and bucket::

Yes, it seems clearer on the 'original image' button but we were informed earlier that the Man has Quit. Phew.

Massive and Phoenix - Once we've perfected All I Do Is Dream Of You, we could move on to this .

DumSpiroSpero · 15/02/2011 22:06

Oh dear - hope little miss twigs is ok.

Volunteer for cake jumping...oh, go on then! Grin

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 15/02/2011 22:08

All those saucy moves you've learned at Zumba should come in very useful, Spiro!

DumSpiroSpero · 15/02/2011 22:11

Wink...It's not on this week which is a shame as I really look forward to it. Am off to a friends house for coffee and cake instead so will need next weeks session to burn it off again!

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 15/02/2011 22:15

An !!

YT is not cooperating for me yet again, it will show it eventually but it's taking forever to load. I did notice that I rather like the little blue number if no one else wants it. But I will need corset and pants of steel to get into it. Or Spiro's Zumba class non-stop for a couple of weeks.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 15/02/2011 22:21

Ah, thoughts of Engelbert lead me inexorably to . I just want your extra time and your kiss, indeed.

DumSpiroSpero · 15/02/2011 22:26

I'm sure you'd look fine Massive. All this talk of Zumba & jumping out of cakes has probably given everyone a very different mental picture of me from the reality, believe me!

Am loving the Humperdinck, especially 2.06, where he's watching Elizaveta walking away...

DumSpiroSpero · 15/02/2011 22:27

Bugger - can't get Tom Jones in mobile. One for tomorrow I guess.

SupermassiveLBD · 15/02/2011 22:30
DumSpiroSpero · 15/02/2011 22:32

would this do for cake jumping

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 15/02/2011 22:33

The Tom Jones is him and Art of Noise singing the Prince song Kiss (the Prince version isn't on YT, apparently). The lyrics seem appropriate to so many of our conversations here!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 15/02/2011 22:34

You must go to some very exciting parties, Spiro!

DumSpiroSpero · 15/02/2011 22:36

Only in my wildest dreams, Maud (where I must admit I've been spending a fair bit of time lately Grin)

DumSpiroSpero · 15/02/2011 22:39

The lyrics seem appropriate to so many of our conversations here

"I just need your body, baby - from dusk til dawn"

Hell, yeah!

SupermassiveLBD · 15/02/2011 22:41

I did notice the lyrics, Maud,

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 15/02/2011 22:41

Who's to say I've never been to the dark side, eh?

DumSpiroSpero · 15/02/2011 22:46

I'm only referring to this thread, Maud. Wouldn't dream of making assuptions about your dark-sidedness otherwise!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 15/02/2011 22:50

I would remind you, Spiro, that it was me wot introduced this to the Academy.

::Wonders whether YT can be worn out by overusage::

SupermassiveLBD · 15/02/2011 22:52

And there was me being all discreet and not quoting said lyrics.

SupermassiveLBD · 15/02/2011 22:56

RED ALERT!!! SAVE YOURSELVES!!! IMMINENT WARP CORE BREACH!!! PREPARE TO JETTISON NACELLES!!!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 15/02/2011 22:57

It's not the core that's warped, if you ask me.
