Oops, sorry Phoenix, I forgot to add you when we were doing them earlier as I only did who was around at the time! I only have one photo there though, will add more later. Give me 2 minutes and you should be able to see it... neither me nor MissTwiglets look like that anymore though! I had her hair cut into a short bob today and I love it! It's always been waist-length...

DumSpiroSpero · 17/02/2011 19:54

I wish I could talk mine into that Twigs. Her best friend has bum-length hair and she is determined to get hers to the same length, is also growing out fringe which I mistakenly suggested about 18 months ago.

She is a nightmare for losing hair stuff and I am not the most efficient person of a morning so 9 times out of 10 she goes to school looking like Dougal.

That would be great Twigs, enjoy JP!

TheSmallPrint · 17/02/2011 20:33

So, carrying on from all the furore with the press conference for The Hobbit it's all gone a bit quiet hasn't it? No more sightings news?

SupermassiveLBD · 17/02/2011 20:55

I suppose we mustn't be greedy, Small. But it's difficult not to be, isn't it?

Did you see the news that they were looking for extras to be elves, in NZ? Maybe a faculty trip is in order.

TheSmallPrint · 17/02/2011 21:08

I wish Massive Grin . I'm watching MadDogs on Sky and they just had a trailer for Sky Atlantic and showed a JP clip where he's in uniform at the memorial. I did a double take in the middle of talking to DH and wondered out loud if they were advertising SB 2!

SupermassiveLBD · 17/02/2011 21:14

I used to be an elf, actually. When I was in the Brownies. Think it'd help if I put that on my CV?

I don't expect they have started filming SB2, have they? I suppose I should be patient as there is still have quite a lot of stuff I haven't seen.

DumSpiroSpero · 17/02/2011 21:17

That just came on here too Small. Was waiting for an arsy comment from dh but didn't get one surprisingly...

DumSpiroSpero · 17/02/2011 21:18

I was a Pixie, Massive, then.promoted to sixer of the Gnomes Grin

SupermassiveLBD · 17/02/2011 21:21

They didn't have dwarves, though, I wonder why? They wouldn't let me be a sixer, I was too disruptive.

DumSpiroSpero · 17/02/2011 21:23

I remember just before being properly enrolled at Brownies actually getting up at 4am and sneaking downstairs to do housework, like in the legend in the handbook.

Can't imagine what I found to do though as my mum has always been fanatically houseproud.

SupermassiveLBD · 17/02/2011 21:28

Goodness how keen is that? 4 a.m. housework! Shock My biggest priority on joining was going for some chips on my way home

TheSmallPrint · 17/02/2011 21:33

I never went to Brownies/guides

DumSpiroSpero · 17/02/2011 21:34

Tbh I used to moan about going every week, but I enjoyed it when I got there and it was a step on the road to girl guides and camping in proper tents instead of huts.

I took DD to the guiding movement's local centenary celebrations last October, which was a bit emotional as my old Brown Owl would have been there but she died when I was pregnant Sad

SupermassiveLBD · 17/02/2011 21:37

All I had to do was think of the chips and that got me there okay, Spiro Grin I got fed up after the Brownies, though, and never took it further.

DumSpiroSpero · 17/02/2011 21:42

I went Guides til I was about 14, and managed to get 2 of the 4 trefoils.

Went to help one evening at Rainbows last yr and have avoided it like the plague ever since Grin

TheSmallPrint · 17/02/2011 21:43

DS1 goes to cubs, as far as I can make out the just run around screaming for an hour and then come home. Somehow he has managed to get 4 badges out of doing that. Hmm

TheSmallPrint · 17/02/2011 21:45

Ladies we need a new home Shock can we have a porter one this time?

DumSpiroSpero · 17/02/2011 21:49

sorry, beat you to it, Small

Feel free to furnish it with as much Porter as you like, though Wink

SupermassiveLBD · 17/02/2011 21:50

I think it's just about his turn, Small. Why not do the honours?
