Areas of study include: The Cotton Industry in the Industrial Revolution; Robin Hood Studies (specialist subject Guy of Gisborne) as well as exhaustive study of the Creative Arts, Film and Media (with particular emphasis on Tolkein, the Armed Forces and National Security).

Good morning, boot-fans! Top tip of the day: get thee unto RH 2.5. where the opening scenes consist of a large pair stomping towards you from out of the shadows. Those boots were certainly made for walking.

Phoenix, I now live on a tropic isle, having moved when I name changed. So there are mozzies and all sorts of insect life here Grin

In RL, I have lived outside the UK for quite a time, and miss it a lot, but I suspect I kind of idealise it.

Oh, what's happened with Strike Back, MrsLN?! Sounds a shame, whatever it is. I've been thinking about JP all morning... last night I saw the Faculty Michaelangelo in context - it's rather blink-and-you-miss-it in RL!

That photo of Mr Thornton with the wine glass - don't his eyes just bore right into you?!

Just back from hairdressers where we gave DS a sweeping fringe. He is officially the most beautiful boy in the universe. Fact. Well, apart from the other Academy juniors, of course! He has this longish, flicky hair and with his new sweepy fringe he looks such a dude - the checkout ladies in M&S this morning were all cooing over him :)

With SB, it's all very muddled? Is he in it at all as was previously indicated? Is it a continuation from where they left off, or a complete reboot? Obviously the protagonist is now supposed to be American but working with British team supporting him, does this make any sense?

One thing - when The Hobbit schedule slipped to March, wasn't there something about actor availability on the press release - could it be that RA is filming his bits of SB now? After all they must be filming now or imminently or we would not have all these news items about it. He has not been sighted in NZ yet, after all.

BTW Rob K tweeted earlier that it is a big day tomorrow - I guess a reference to the upcoming press conference...?

I got the distinct impression that they are completely reworking Strikeback with new bloke (Grrr - and not in a good way), as they have done shows like The Office etc - what a pile of....

On a lighter note, one of my colleagues (who doesn't normally work in the office) was standing at my desk today, saw my coaster and asked "Blimey - is that your husband?"

Was telling another colleague and apparently she's the second one to ask this week!
