Fascinating discussion now with a sculptor who made a sculpture of Priapus, which is now on a London street, but he had to omit its most obviously Priapic component for fear of offending public decency. Yet, as he points out, there are pictures of near-naked girls plastered all over the place.

It's an art programme (and I missed the beginning of it) but I think its thesis is that art is good and prudery about the human body is not. But there is an issue about the intersection between art and the law on obscenity/indecency which (unless I missed it) they haven't really explored.

Maud, just to clarify, I wasn't LOLing at the way you phrased "other hand", I was LOLing at the idea in general - I didn't realise that that's how other people also faked their child's hand-writing so the recognition of that made me laugh.
