Would you like a glass of Chateau Gizzy?

That must be it! Quel horreur!!! They won't be able to brew their cocoa. But she could well be fine, otherwise. Still, we better send in JP, just in case, He looks the business as if he means business.

I think we'll have to steal acquire that one for our art gallery, Maud, it is singularly beautiful. It's late and I can't remember the guy who did the very dark paintings, with a bit of light round the edges. And no doubt you won't wither from that odd description. It's very late!!

Certainly an improvement on the Witchita Lineman anyway, as electrical fault repairers go.

SupermassiveLBD · 13/02/2011 00:10

wither = either

SupermassiveLBD · 13/02/2011 00:11

Night, Phoenix!

SupermassiveLBD · 13/02/2011 00:14

Going crose-eyed, here, tbh, so will have to slope off, in the hope that Twigs really is okay. Goodnight to all and sweet dreams.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 13/02/2011 00:24

Yep, I'm off to bed now too.

Were you, Massive, thinking of Caravaggio? (just look at that profile) or Joseph Wright of Derby? Neither of the above?

Sweet dreams, one and all.

SupermassiveLBD · 13/02/2011 00:27

Caravaggio, indeedio! I knew you would know! Goodnight.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 13/02/2011 00:28

::Looks back at you::

A random thought as I drift off to sleep. Wichita Lineman contains the line

And I need you more than want you
And I want you for all time.

::wibble::

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 13/02/2011 00:30

::Looks back again::

Oooh, oooh! Did you look at that Caravaggio profile? The nose, the nose!

::insensible through tiredness, anxiety about Twiggy and cravat-induced euphoria::

MrsLucasNorth · 13/02/2011 08:11

Those JP pics were gorgeous - especially the first one - all those layers and fastenings. I wonder if the costume designers that work with him do it on purpose (Gizzy's similar). It just makes him look like a particularly sexy game of pass the parcel (not that you'd actually want to pass him on to the next person, but ykwim) Grin

TheSmallPrint · 13/02/2011 09:30

Morning ladies. I was out all afternoon so didn't get a chance to catch up and then, wait for it, DH 'let' me put on the last two episodes of N&S last night and sort of watched it with me! Shock no sarky comments or anything!

I will catch up later but I'm off out again for most ofthe day. Just quickly Maud, we have an ipad and love it. Twigs ya I love that pic but knew you did too, I also love the Russian bar shots too for some reason. Watching N&S yesterday has made me appreciate the very fine Mr T all over again

TheSmallPrint · 13/02/2011 09:38

Ya? I'm not a sloany really, that should have said yes! Damn autocorrect

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 13/02/2011 11:27

Nice to see you raising the tone around here, Maud!

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 13/02/2011 11:56

Hello ladies from a rather bedraggled me. No particular reason. I guess all this intensive study is more taxing than you'd think.

MrsLN, your pass the parcel comment had me snorting with the most unladylike laughter. Thank goodness Mr Massive had just that minute gone out the door or I should have had to explain why I was howling like a loon at the computer screen. Wot are we like?

Still no news of Twiggy.

PassTheTwiglets · 13/02/2011 12:00

ROFL, you girls!!! :o :o :o :o
That was HYSTERICAL - I squealed with laughter at Tufty coming to gnaw through the cables :o I had a different reaction altogether at JP's 'direct action' photo though - WOWSERS. MrsLN, your comment about him being like a sexy game of pass the parcel made me hoot with laughter!

Thank you for your concern, ladies, sorry I didn't come back on here to update. I was already primed for indifference after 8.3 had Wet Lucas (in the swimming pool). I got through that one with giggling, as DH pointed out that RA looked like he was frightened of the water (which I think he is, in RL?) and it was very funny when you notice Mr Tough Guy turning his face away from the splashes :) So, it was then onto 8.4. Yes, the Sarah and the blue sheets shots were bad enough but it was more the let me slip into something a little more comfortable scene that was concerning me :

Maud, you quoted one of my all-time favourite lyrics! "And I need you more than want you" - that always gives me goosepimples.

Small, did MrSmall like N&S? DrTwiglets wouldn't watch it with me, I'm sure. Though I have pondered getting him to watch the ending and then ask "can you do that, please?" :o

PassTheTwiglets · 13/02/2011 12:01

Crossed posts, Massive :) Are you ok, bedraggled-wise? Pass the parcel was hilarious, wasn't it? Classic.

PassTheTwiglets · 13/02/2011 12:11

As for names, he says mine in BtS (probably no great leap of the imagination to work that one out :o) and he says DD's name a lot in Spooks 9. It sounds sooooo gorgeous how he says it It's an odd thing, to be jealous of your daughter :o

SupermassiveLBD · 13/02/2011 12:13

TWIGGY!!! Thank god you're safe!!
ROFLMAO at slip into something a little more comfortable

Such a relief, anyway. Now I can hyperventilate in peace at the thought of unwrapping this particular parcel

SupermassiveLBD · 13/02/2011 12:16

Twigs, I am fine really. I am just in need of a heavy duty pampering sesh, and the Massive household folk are being a collective pita about my 'me' time.

SupermassiveLBD · 13/02/2011 12:21

Talking about not liking the water reminds me, I have just been reading about a LOTR scene they may be going to shoot of Bilbo and the dwarves floating down this fast-moving river on a raft. Sad

Maybe they'll let Thorin stay on the bank directing operations.

PassTheTwiglets · 13/02/2011 12:40

Oh my, oh my. Loving that particular parcel, Massive. What a beautiful photo - I had only seen the latter shots to that sequence (not hav ing seen the episode in question yet) but I think the before is prettier than the after! Look at that Fringe Flop

Sorry about your lack of pampering time. Sounds like they need to go and have Testosterone Time by themselves! Any chance of some time later today?

My two are driving me crazy - the concept of 'go and play by yourself' is completely foreign to them. I'm being called for something or other every ten seconds... sigh...
Still, on the plus side, I have nice new hair and a gorgeous new coat :)

SupermassiveLBD · 13/02/2011 12:55

nice new hair and a gorgeous new coat

Sounds lovely, Twiggy. My hair is feeling a bit like Guy's looks in the early stages of series 3. I would just settle for clean never mind cut and blow-dried Sad

Lots of sniping and quarreling going on here so I daren't disappear for more than a minute, especially with Mr M not at home, in case they go weapons free and we end up with a high body count. TBH it's even a bit of a risk going for a comfort break.

I could do with a ssomeone in here with a great big Heckler and Koch or broadsword to sort them out.

MrsLucasNorth · 13/02/2011 13:00

Some very scrummy Giz pics there - although he's unwrapping himself in the first one - where's the fun in that? Grin

As for Spooks 8.4 - I can't believe no-one's posted this yet prepare for the National Grid to blow
