Would you like a glass of Chateau Gizzy?

Massive - I read my (73yo) dad your literary efforts of yesterday. He nearly fell off his chair laughing at 'Heckler & Koch' - he thought it was brilliant!

Your dad sounds fun, MrsLN! I am honoured to have been able to entertain him. Though I am a bit Blush that he recognised my naughty little semi-pun.

MrsLucasNorth · 13/02/2011 13:25

My dad is a bit of a dude I must admit.Grin

MrsLN - I deliberately didn't post that pic last night, as with Twigtown already plunged into darkness by the antics of Claude the Squirrel, I didn't want to create a national power outtage.

::Puts on sincere radio DJ voice::

This one's going out to all you ladies who are being pestered by importunate offfspring

SupermassiveLBD · 13/02/2011 14:07

vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrmmmmmmmmmmm

I could do with multiple cravats, as a matter of fact. All the better to bind and gag the Superboys, my dear.

vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrmmmmmmmmmmm

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 13/02/2011 14:16

Perhaps Gizzy could come round and tie you them to a tree, Massive?

MrsLucasNorth · 13/02/2011 14:20

Oh my word - Gizzy, Lucas, cravats and tree-tying...never mind a power surge, they'll be heart attacks soon if we're not careful!

MrsLucasNorth · 13/02/2011 14:22

I meant there'll be obviously (although that doesn't look right either - brain too full of naughtiness to compute correct grammar!)

SupermassiveLBD · 13/02/2011 14:30

I have to admit I went all unnecessary myself with Gizzy and tying up being mentioned in the same sentence. Then I realised that if he were tying me up, he'd only be doing it in self-defence.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 13/02/2011 16:36

Once again, Maud is taking one for the team. I am watching North and South to establish where this vignette comes from. I can report that it comes from the scene in episode one where Mr Thornton and his associates are explaining their business philosophy to Mr Hale.

Thinks that Mr Thornton can expound his philosophy to her any time.

SupermassiveLBD · 13/02/2011 16:59

Maud, your selflessness and diligence knows no bounds. That was a question that had been nagging away at me ever since I first saw it.

Look at Cutie Pie, here

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 13/02/2011 17:08

I know, I know. I am always happy to help out my friends and the work ethic is coursing through my veins. That and the Polish cordial.

It's intriguing that the vignette is not in the screen cap archive - it seems like such an obvious choice - and Cutie Pie is the nearest match there. And he is very cuuuute, is he not?

Words don't come easy

SupermassiveLBD · 13/02/2011 17:17

So cute it hurts Grin

No prizes for guessing who's your Valentine, then...

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 13/02/2011 17:21

::Picks self off Aubusson::

::Dabs forehead with cologne-soaked hankie::

Ah, such exquisite agony.

My true-love hath my heart, and I have his,
By just exchange, one for the other giv'n.
I hold his dear, and mine he cannot miss;
There never was a better bargain driv'n.
His heart in me keeps me and him in one,
My heart in him his thoughts and senses guides;
He loves my heart, for once it was his own;
I cherish his, because in me it bides.
His heart his wound received from my sight:
My heart was wounded with his wounded heart;
For as from me, on him his hurt did light,
So still me thought in me his hurt did smart:
Both equal hurt, in this change sought our bliss:
My true love hath my heart and I have his.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 13/02/2011 17:23

But, please, let me offer you a Valentine of your own.

SupermassiveLBD · 13/02/2011 17:29

Thank you, Maud. I am indeed inordinantely fond of Richie. There is something about those curving ears.

No, seriously, that is one of Guy's more delicious moments. I am rather taken with this too

Exquisite agony indeed, or as they say nowadays, it hurts so good.

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 13/02/2011 17:50

That's from Episode 3.5 again, isn't it.

This one caught my eye...

OP posts:
PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 13/02/2011 17:52

Bafta's tonight - I'm told that my DH voted for CF !!!!

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 13/02/2011 18:03

3.5 is very good thudding material, unless you are one of the lot that think that hair is bouffant. It's just bouncy, FGS.

That pic of yours is just gorgeous, Phoenix

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 13/02/2011 18:04

Pantene. Because Guy's worth it.

::gets coat::

SupermassiveLBD · 13/02/2011 18:06

Another gem from the same source

And you can't complain about the hair in this shot!

MrsLucasNorth · 13/02/2011 18:14

Massive - are we supposed to be looking at the outstretched hand or the acres of lace up leather

Turns out the H is more aware of my little 'hobby' than I thought...

PassTheTwiglets · 13/02/2011 18:28

Phoenix, so your DH gets a Bafta vote?! Gosh, how exciting - do we have Film Royalty in our midsts?

MrsLN, uh-oh, did you get caught?!

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 13/02/2011 18:34

Not film royalty!! No!! Don't get ideas...

OP posts:
MrsLucasNorth · 13/02/2011 18:36

Something like that Twigs. I don't think he's massively impressed, but then unlike most of us he doesn't have an inner teenager, just an inner grumpy old git!
