Just in case we need new premises tonight... :)

I love that saying, although I have never seen any of the programmes, Techno.

Theresa you need to wipe the worst off with a warm.damp flannel rather than splashing it off (have learnt from experience and several knackered contact lenses!)

Theresaholeinyourmind · 29/01/2011 19:08

I will try that next time MrsLN. Of course I was dsy-deaming while I did it and didn't think to be sensible.

Loved the House of Cards books as well as the TV adapatation, which of course I did get to see as it was pretty old and thus prime international Beeb fodder.

MrsLucasNorth · 29/01/2011 19:14

I was probably slightly too young (15) to appreciate the tv series when it came out, although I used to love Drop the Dead Donkey which was around at the same time...

Are we all "frying with fossil fuel" this evening ladies?! Grin

Theresaholeinyourmind · 29/01/2011 19:24

Thank you YT Better late than never.stern stare
Oh Johnny, indeed!

Thanks, Techno sorry I couldn't say so before.

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 29/01/2011 19:39

My pleasure. It was you, I think, who first brought that particular incarnation of Mr Thornton into the Academy. For which kindness, I am ever in your debt.

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 29/01/2011 19:40

MrsLN - You what?

PassTheTwiglets · 29/01/2011 19:42

Oh, Theresa, your Lucas version of "I'm A Believer" was beyond gorgeous! I started typing out the times of particular parts I loved but in the end there were just too many :) So nice and upbeat too, a fantastic find!

MrsLN, did you like the flavoured mojitos? I'm a big mojito fan but haven't had (and can't imagine) any different versions. Were they good?

Neil Diamond fan here too. He also wrote UB40's Red Red Wine. Me? I love a bit of Forever In Blue Jeans.

I think we should now refer to MrsLN as Rosie :)

What are we all up to tonight then? I'm not cooking thanks to the wonder that is Marks & Spencers Dine In For £10. I think we are watching Inception though I know I won't understand it.

DD and I watched the RH episode where Little John meets his wife and she's really angry with him. DD asked why she was angry and I explained that it was because he went off into the forest without telling her he was still alive. DD thought about it and said "it's a shame they didn't have mobile phones then because he could've jsut sent her a text saing 'sorry love, I'm just popping off to the forest'..." :o

I am going out soon to a real life parrr-teee.

::applies make-up with trowel and squeezes feet into glass slippers::

Theresaholeinyourmind · 29/01/2011 19:52

Grin at your DD Twigs. Kids have very imaginative brains, don't they?

Wasn't there a RH parody along these lines on YT that was posted a way back?

Theresaholeinyourmind · 29/01/2011 19:56

I hope you have a Techno

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 29/01/2011 19:59
MrsLucasNorth · 29/01/2011 20:29

Have fun Techno!

Frying with fossil fuel was one of the many daft sayings of Gus Hedges - the smarmy head honcho at Globelink News, where Drop the Dead Donkey was set.

I'm a Believer was looooovely!

Twigs, the Raspberry Mojitos were fab, Spiced Apple was a bit sweet for me, although tbh I'd had 2 raspberry's and a large glass of wine by then so can't say as I was particularly fussed!

MrsLucasNorth · 29/01/2011 20:43

Just had another look at IAB vid - LOL at his face at 1.28 Grin!

Theresaholeinyourmind · 29/01/2011 20:59

Grin MrsLN! Cutesville!

PassTheTwiglets · 29/01/2011 21:29

I love that 1.28 face, MrsLN! I think my fave bit is very soon after that, 1'31-1'33. And is it just me or is 2'11 very Guy Thornton-North?!

I'm a believer was great - how did I miss that one?

He was unbelievably gorgeous throughout Spooks 9 though, I mean seriously...how he does that I will never understand. Incredible!

Favourited!! BTW I discovered today that Macbeth with Anthony Sher is on YT in it's entirety. So I have made a playlist on my YT account for it, will have to find time to watch it. I know he's not in it much, but it looks like a quality production.

MrsLucasNorth · 29/01/2011 21:54

Yes indeed Twigs. I thought he had much more chemistry with Sarah than with Maya.

I must admit I'd have loved to have seen Lucas and Ros get together, I know they couldn't have done it without it seeming naff but there are some moments between them in 7 & 8 when you just can't help but think it.

MrsLucasNorth · 29/01/2011 21:56

Off to watch Revolutionary Road now - have had it on the hard drive for 3 weeks!

Theresaholeinyourmind · 29/01/2011 21:59

Thrilled to have found it for you all, Phoenix,it was just one of those in the side menu when I was looking at something else, and I thought I'd have a peek

I keep on wondering however i'm going to be able to watch Spooks 9 as it's so sad. So on a scale of 1 to 10, just how gorgeous is he in it?

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 29/01/2011 22:00

I've seen RR MrsLN - quality - Leo DiCaprii and Kate Winslett reunited for first time since Titanic.

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 29/01/2011 22:09

Oh it's a 10/10 without a doubt - but you can see for yourself from that video (though it does mix up the three series TBH).

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 29/01/2011 22:12

Does anyone read fanfic on Wattpad here?

PassTheTwiglets · 29/01/2011 22:22

Lucas in S9 is the only Lucas I've seen (apart from a sneaky viewing of 7.1) and he had me hooked from the start, if that answers your question, Theresa :) It's only the end that is sad, you really do need to watch it. Honest, guv. You can always miss the last episode if it bothers you.

Phoenix, I haven't read any of the fanfic but I would do if time allowed. There must be so much that I daren't even look or I will get suckered in :)

Inception DVD didn't work so we did Ricky Gervais' latest offering then just when there was an hour to spare DH decided he wanted to play his PC game instead of watching another Spooks, damn him :) So I'm watching ep 1 of Downton Abbey. I missed this series at the time but know I will love it :)

Theresaholeinyourmind · 29/01/2011 22:32

Thanks ladies --I think - Grin I see I am going to have to watch Spooks S9 too then. I shall compromise and wait, though, till it goes a lot cheaper as I have so much to watch anyway.

From the vid clips I was thinking he looked at least 35 out of 10. Wink

I have looked at Wattpad, Phoenix but the format is not very reader -friendly, at least to me.
