Just in case we need new premises tonight... :)

oMG is anyone watching Silent Witness?

PassTheTwiglets · 24/01/2011 22:06

Fly-by posting...

LOL at "larger bath" :)

Listened to the first 10 mins of A Convenient Marriage whilst cooking dinner tonight but I have no idea what was going on as the littlies were riding their bikes around the kitchen and screeching! It seems to have a far lighter tone than Clarissa and Venetia though - jolly "tra la la" style music and he reads it fairly quickly and upbeat.

Night all!

I had something more like this in mind...

Theresaholeinyourmind · 24/01/2011 22:12

Night Twigs, sorry for your audibook pain [bgrin]

Is Silent Witness still on? I used to watch in the days of Prof Sam Ryan but then French and Saunders took it off and I couldn't stop laughing at it from then on...

MrsLN, that bath looks like just the ticket.
Every time I see jacuzzi ads though it reminds me of the Eddie Murphy gag about the poor man's jacuzzi. I expect the 12th century ones were the same.

MrsLucasNorth · 24/01/2011 22:15

Or this

Theresaholeinyourmind · 24/01/2011 22:19

You'd need a gold-plated rubber ducky to go with that one, MrsLN. I bet it costs more than my house did!

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 24/01/2011 22:21

Found the reference to Guy of Gisborne being a robot - it's referenced here but is actually from the interview on the Will You Tolerate This? RH S1 audiobook.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 24/01/2011 22:28

Thanks so much, I knew I hadn't made it up myself.

::Staggers in, somewhat fortified by real life Chateau Gizzy::

Hello ladies. Were you talking about bath tubs? I need to refit my bathroom. Living as I do in a hovel period property, I will be looking for something in keeping with the age and style of the property.

And, on that note, goodnight.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 25/01/2011 00:16

Goodnight to you, Techno.I was just looking for the cat but he has absconded with Venetia's kittens, I think.

Am loving yoour bath toy.

Sweet dreams!

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 25/01/2011 00:24

Not so much my bath toy as my bath toyboy. .

Sweet dreams!

MrsLucasNorth · 25/01/2011 07:36

Morning! Anyone else seen these threads on chat...

Men in agency dress

Heyer/Austin book club

TheSmallPrint · 25/01/2011 11:08

Morning!

Sorry abut last night, Silent Witness did a rather dramatic Spooks like storyline by killing off one of the main characters in a very nasty way!! I was Shock.

Men in agency dress Mrs LN????

Theresaholeinyourmind · 25/01/2011 11:28

Morning ladies. I saw that thread last night, MrsLN. Very pleased to see our Venetia got such good reviews and more than one good suggestion as to who should play Lord D. in a TV adaptation.
I also saw a thread asking who went to school with anyone famous. Shock Oh dear Blush

Who are the forensic pathologists in SW these days, Small? Or maybe I should ask who were, in view of last night's episode.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 25/01/2011 11:37

How many times is this that I have posted message number 666? Shock Is MN trying to tell me something?

PassTheTwiglets · 25/01/2011 11:56

Well done on finding that interview, Phoenix! This made me smile: "That was my main aim with this character, to make people absolutely despise him,? said Richard Armitage"

Yes, 'cos we so despise him, don't we Theresa?!

OP posts:
MrsLucasNorth · 25/01/2011 12:07

As someone said earlier about another character epic fail!

Theresaholeinyourmind · 25/01/2011 12:26

Oh yes, we certainly despise Sir Guy do we not? Why else all the thudding, fanning and buckets of drool? Not to mention the mad urge to cuddle him when he gives us a glimpse of the shy little boy.

I was looking at him yesterday when watching RH1.5, and comparing him, all smouldery in his elegant black, with Robin, cheeky chappie, wearer of sludge-coloured hoodies and PLF extraordinaire.

Epic fail indeed, MrsLN.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 25/01/2011 12:59

Thanks Small. I actually recognise the characters. The men have been in it for ever, and the woman came in as a small blonde rookie, IIRC? Such a relief to know them, it's depressing how far behind most of the shows on the international Beeb are.

Woo hoo, just had an e-mail from Amazon, and Sparkhouse is on its way...

TheSmallPrint · 25/01/2011 14:10

I have been informed that Spooks is out of stock - now that I have paid for it 10 days ago!

PassTheTwiglets · 25/01/2011 14:57

Which Spooks was it, Small?

I'm off to a quiz night tonight - if there was a round on PSMs, I think we'd play our joker on that :)

OP posts:
Theresaholeinyourmind · 25/01/2011 15:09

That is one hell of a cheek, Small, no matter what Spooks it was. Bet they hang on to the money.

No interesting subjects on your quiz night, then, Twiggy? I keep remembering the Mastermind disaster.

TheSmallPrint · 25/01/2011 15:38

Series 7&8. Not Happy. You can be sure they hang on to it T, I emailed them yesterday but no reply. Grr.

Finally got to watch being human on iplayer today, it's a great programme but DH does not like it. I think you needto have watched from the first series to 'get' it?

I have a friend over for DS1 this afternoon so will catch up later.
