No, I've never seen Moulin Rouge. At the time I didn't find it at all appealing but after Theresa posted a clip I had an epiphany.

::Very impressed that DrTwiglet is clearly a Grate Brane as well as Lucas Lookalike::

Theresaholeinyourmind · 08/01/2011 23:18

Right Fleur, duly noted. Twigs, we have to date one blonde in purple and one brunette in hot pink with feathers. What protective colouring and name do you want to assume?
Then we can all have jolly fun with M. Gisborne at our earliest ocnvenience.
M Gisborne, of course, is wearing black. For a change.

I really don't get this Barry the Goblin thing. and where does the teddy come in?
{grin]

Dr Twiglets - bless!

Was looking at Open Air Theatre website earlier - they're doing a kids version of Pericles this summer, and some grown up goodies too.

Watching Spooks 7/5 at the mo.

As for unwrapping, when I'm 'in character' I'm Cassie, and her man is GTN, which leaves a vacancy for Lucas...Grin

Theresaholeinyourmind · 08/01/2011 23:22

Golly MrsLN how generous is that. Teri rather likes Lucas too so you'll have to watch her, Twiggy.

MrsLucasNorth · 08/01/2011 23:24

Best let Teri know there's a leather wrapped parcel with her name on!

PassTheTwiglets · 08/01/2011 23:26

Barry is ace!! For ages, TTL has been going on about this character 'Barry The Goblin', implying he was Lucas's lackey and someone has obviously taken this character and run with it. It's very funny, the relationship between him & Lucas is quite amusing (would like to say it's sweet and quite touching but that would make me insane). As for the teddy bear, Jack Bear is JP's teddy bear. There is another bear floating around bit I'm not sure about that one.

Oooooooh, I'd forgotten that Cassie is GTN's girl!!

Ms Author, I don't mind what I look like - just make me gorgeous so I can pretend to know what it's like :o

asmallbunchofflowers · 08/01/2011 23:28

I went to the OAT for the first time this year. It was lovely, but so cold you'd have thought it was November. Oh the joys of the English summer.

::Envies Theresa her balmy nights on the banks of the Limpopo::

PassTheTwiglets · 08/01/2011 23:30

I saw Midsummer Night's Dream at the OAT years ago and it was breathtakingly beautiful.

Let us know what you think of Moulin Rouge when you've seen it, Flowers. Dr Twiglets and I have been meaning to rewatch it for the umpteenth time but not got around to it yet...

Yikes, half-eleven! Best be off to bed. Night all. A demain!

Theresaholeinyourmind · 08/01/2011 23:35

I shan't be able to do anything with Teri now, MrsLN, I can see she's drooling already.
I feel a bit sorry for Guy as a matter of fact.

Didn't Barry invade John Porter's world too? It is all quite mad and funny I can see.

Twigs okay, I shall choose a get-up for you but you have to give yourself a name, you know .Or do you prefer to have an amusant nickname as your gimmick??

Theresaholeinyourmind · 08/01/2011 23:36

Night Twigs sleep well, and get in training for your leetle numbair, demain soir.
Oh la la!

Theresaholeinyourmind · 08/01/2011 23:40

I do hope noone gets their hopes up too much, this is just a vignette really and they are hardly more than walk-on parts. I don't know enough about the MR to do a full-blown serial. Maybe Flowers will do me a follow -on.

asmallbunchofflowers · 08/01/2011 23:40

Bon soir, Mam'zelle Twiggaaairr. Dors bein, alors.

MrsLucasNorth · 08/01/2011 23:40

How long ago was Midsummer, Twigs - was probably about 10 yrs ago we went. Were lucky with the weather too!

I'd go for 7.5 Spooks as your birthday treat if I were you. Lucas is truly luscious in it.

Night night all.

asmallbunchofflowers · 08/01/2011 23:44

Night, night, MrsLN. Sweet Spooky dreams.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 08/01/2011 23:45

Night night MrsLN, sweet dreams of undeniably luscious Lucas.

MrsLucasNorth · 08/01/2011 23:46

Just had to report another tenuous programme connection. In 7.5 Spooks Ros & Lucas are undercover as a couple called Jenny & Pete (Fay Ripley & John Thomson's characters in Cold Feet)

Theresaholeinyourmind · 08/01/2011 23:47

Flowers, are other women in other places truly as potty as us, going on about their own favoured hottie?

Theresaholeinyourmind · 08/01/2011 23:49

Under cover with Lucas eh? Now there's a tough assignment if ever there was one.

asmallbunchofflowers · 08/01/2011 23:49

If we're doing six degrees of separation - did I mention that I spotted a friend of a friend in a YT clip from BTS? And a friend of another friend in RH? Sadly, I don't know either FoF and I guess it's too long after the event to interrogate them anyway.

asmallbunchofflowers · 08/01/2011 23:50

Why am I the expert on demented women, Theresa?

::suspicious::

asmallbunchofflowers · 08/01/2011 23:52

Under cover with Lucas, eh?

Theresaholeinyourmind · 08/01/2011 23:53

Bummer, Flowers, if only you'd known earlier, you could have heard all the goss.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 08/01/2011 23:57

He's only half undercover there, mind you, Flowers. Oh lawdy

Re the demented females, I thught you mentioned coming across such groups by accident in the course of your web-trawling etc. Was that someone else then?

No connection implied between you and said loony ladies. And of course you yourself were not included among the 'us' I mentioned, you and your Mr Thorton are paragons of level-headedness and gentility.

asmallbunchofflowers · 09/01/2011 00:08

Yeah, but it would have been hugely complicated. I'd have to explain to friends why I wanted to be introduced to their friends and then left alone with just them and one of Vaisey's old thumbscrews. And, besides, going back to your other question, I am (tragically and misguidedly no doubt) more interested in Mr Thornton than I am in The Man Himself. I had a weird enough time this afternoon, going shopping in the area where (according to electrons on a screen) he lives and hoping that (unlikely as it would be) we wouldn't see him, as Offspring would be bound to bellow "Oh look Mummy it's Mr Armitage. You spend all your time on YT looking at Mr Armitage don't you?"

What I love about this thread - apart from the camaraderie - is that it's a sort of game. How many vids can we find? How often can we summon a doctor for someone who's feeling poorly? How often can we call for help from a deliciously-flawed action hero? Or will it all become too debauched for sensitive souls?
